بِسْمِ
اللّهِ
الرَّحْمـَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi
Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful
قَالَ
أَلَمْ أَقُل
لَّكَ
إِنَّكَ لَن
تَسْتَطِيعَ
مَعِي
صَبْرًا
75. Qala alam aqul laka innaka lan tastateeAAa maAAiya sabran
He (Khidr) said: "Did I not tell you that you cannot observe patience with
me?"
قَالَ إِن
سَأَلْتُكَ
عَن شَيْءٍ
بَعْدَهَا
فَلَا
تُصَاحِبْنِي
قَدْ
بَلَغْتَ مِن
لَّدُنِّي
عُذْرًا
76. Qala in saaltuka AAan shayin
baAAdaha fala tusahibnee qad balaghta min ladunnee AAuthran
Mûsa responded: "After this if I
ask anything from you then you should not let me accompany you. Well, now you have gotten an excuse from my
side.”
فَانطَلَقَا
حَتَّى إِذَا
أَتَيَا
أَهْلَ قَرْيَةٍ
اسْتَطْعَمَا
أَهْلَهَا
فَأَبَوْا
أَن
يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا
فَوَجَدَا
فِيهَا جِدَارًا
يُرِيدُ أَنْ
يَنقَضَّ
فَأَقَامَهُ
قَالَ لَوْ
شِئْتَ
لَاتَّخَذْتَ
عَلَيْهِ
أَجْرًا
77. Faintalaqa hatta itha ataya
ahla qaryatin istatAAama ahlaha faabaw an
yudayyifoohuma fawajada feeha jidaran yureedu an yanqadda faaqamahu qala law
shita laittakhathta AAalayhi ajran
Then they advanced further until they reached in a village and asked for food
from the people of the town but they refused to entertain them. There they saw a wall that was about to
collapse. That person (Khidr) rebuilt
that wall. Mûsa said: If you wished then
you could have demanded wages for this task."
قَالَ
هَذَا
فِرَاقُ
بَيْنِي
وَبَيْنِكَ سَأُنَبِّئُكَ
بِتَأْوِيلِ
مَا لَمْ
تَسْتَطِع
عَّلَيْهِ
صَبْرًا
78. Qala hatha firaqu baynee
wabaynika saonabbioka bitaweeli ma lam tastatiAA AAalayhi sabran
He (Khidr) responded: "So this is the end of our company. Now, I am going to tell you the reality of
those things about which you could not keep your patience.
أَمَّا
السَّفِينَةُ
فَكَانَتْ
لِمَسَاكِينَ
يَعْمَلُونَ
فِي
الْبَحْرِ
فَأَرَدتُّ
أَنْ
أَعِيبَهَا
وَكَانَ
وَرَاءهُم مَّلِكٌ
يَأْخُذُ
كُلَّ
سَفِينَةٍ
غَصْبًا
79. Amma alssafeenatu fakanat
limasakeena yaAAmaloona fee albahri faaradtu an aAAeebaha wakana waraahum
malikun yakhuthu kulla safeenatin ghasban
The detail about the boat is that it belonged to a few
poor people (Masâkîn) who used to work-hard in the river. I wished to make it defective, because a
little further there was a territory of such king who was taking every boat by
force.
وَأَمَّا
الْغُلَامُ
فَكَانَ
أَبَوَاهُ
مُؤْمِنَيْنِ
فَخَشِينَا
أَن
يُرْهِقَهُمَا
طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا
80. Waamma alghulamu fakana
abawahu muminayni fakhasheena an yurhiqahuma tughyanan
wakufran
As for the boy, his parents were believers, and I foresaw that he would trouble
them by his rebellion and infidelity (Kufr).
فَأَرَدْنَا
أَن
يُبْدِلَهُمَا
رَبُّهُمَا
خَيْرًا
مِّنْهُ
زَكَاةً
وَأَقْرَبَ
رُحْمًا
81. Faaradna an
yubdilahuma rabbuhuma khayran minhu zakatan waaqraba ruhman
This is why; I wanted that their Râbb should give them such child in his place
that would be better than him in piety and friendship.
وَأَمَّا
الْجِدَارُ
فَكَانَ
لِغُلَامَيْنِ
يَتِيمَيْنِ
فِي
الْمَدِينَةِ
وَكَانَ
تَحْتَهُ
كَنزٌ
لَّهُمَا
وَكَانَ
أَبُوهُمَا صَالِحًا
فَأَرَادَ
رَبُّكَ أَنْ
يَبْلُغَا
أَشُدَّهُمَا
وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا
كَنزَهُمَا
رَحْمَةً
مِّن رَّبِّكَ
وَمَا
فَعَلْتُهُ
عَنْ أَمْرِي
ذَلِكَ
تَأْوِيلُ
مَا لَمْ
تَسْطِع
عَّلَيْهِ
صَبْرًا
82. Waamma aljidaru fakana
lighulamayni yateemayni fee almadeenati wakana tahtahu kanzun lahuma wakana
aboohuma salihan faarada rabbuka an yablugha ashuddahuma wayastakhrija
kanzahuma rahmatan min rabbika wama faAAaltuhu AAan amree thalika taweelu ma
lam tastiAA AAalayhi sabran
And the detail of this wall is that it belongs to two orphan boys who live in
this town. Under this wall; a treasure
is buried for these children and their father was a righteous man this is why
your Râbb wanted that they should dig out their treasure when they attain their
age of maturity. This has been done due to the Mercy of your Râbb; I have not done
anything by my own will. This is
the reality of those things over which you could not hold your
patience." (R) 1
وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ
عَن ذِي
الْقَرْنَيْنِ
قُلْ
سَأَتْلُو
عَلَيْكُم
مِّنْهُ
ذِكْرًا
83. Wayasaloonaka AAan thee
alqarnayni qul saatloo AAalaykum minhu thikran
And O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam), these people ask you about Dhul-Qarnain. Tell them that I am going to tell you
something about him."
إِنَّا
مَكَّنَّا
لَهُ فِي
الْأَرْضِ
وَآتَيْنَاهُ
مِن كُلِّ
شَيْءٍ
سَبَبًا
84. Inna makkanna lahu fee
alardi waataynahu min kulli shayin sababan
WE had given him authority in the land and had blessed him with all kinds of
provisions.
فَأَتْبَعَ
سَبَبًا
85. FaatbaAAa sababan
He made the arrangements (for a movement, first toward the west).
حَتَّى
إِذَا بَلَغَ
مَغْرِبَ
الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا
تَغْرُبُ فِي
عَيْنٍ
حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ
عِندَهَا
قَوْمًا
قُلْنَا يَا
ذَا
الْقَرْنَيْنِ
إِمَّا أَن
تُعَذِّبَ
وَإِمَّا أَن
تَتَّخِذَ
فِيهِمْ
حُسْنًا
86. Hatta itha balagha maghriba
alshshamsi wajadaha taghrubu fee AAaynin hamiatin wawajada AAindaha qawman
qulna ya tha alqarnayni imma an tuAAaththiba waimma an tattakhitha feehim
husnan
Until when he reached the limit of the sunset then, he saw the sun setting in
black water and there he met with a nation.
WE (Allâh) said: "O Dhul-Qarnain!
You have the power to punish them or treat them with
kindness."
قَالَ
أَمَّا مَن
ظَلَمَ
فَسَوْفَ
نُعَذِّبُهُ
ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ
إِلَى
رَبِّهِ
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ
عَذَابًا
نُّكْرًا
87. Qala amma man thalama
fasawfa nuAAaththibuhu thumma yuraddu ila rabbihi fayuAAaththibuhu AAathaban
nukran
He said: "Whoever among them will do evil we will punish him/her, then
he/she will be brought back to his/her Râbb and HE will give him/her more
severe punishment.
وَأَمَّا
مَنْ آمَنَ
وَعَمِلَ
صَالِحًا فَلَهُ
جَزَاء
الْحُسْنَى
وَسَنَقُولُ
لَهُ مِنْ
أَمْرِنَا
يُسْرًا
88. Waamma man amana waAAamila
salihan falahu jazaan alhusna wasanaqoolu lahu min amrina yusran
And whoever among them will bring Faith (in Oneness of
Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala), and will
do righteous deeds, there is a great reward for him/her and we shall treat
him/her with kindness."
ثُمَّ
أَتْبَعَ
سَبَبًا
89. Thumma atbaAAa sababan
Then he prepared (for another movement),
حَتَّى
إِذَا بَلَغَ
مَطْلِعَ
الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا
تَطْلُعُ
عَلَى قَوْمٍ
لَّمْ نَجْعَل
لَّهُم مِّن
دُونِهَا
سِتْرًا
90. Hatta itha balagha matliAAa
alshshamsi wajadaha tatluAAu AAala qawmin lam najAAal lahum min dooniha sitran
Until he reached the limit of sunrise. There he saw that sun is rising on such a
nation for whom WE have not made any arrangements to protect from the sun.
كَذَلِكَ
وَقَدْ
أَحَطْنَا
بِمَا
لَدَيْهِ
خُبْرًا
91. Kathalika waqad ahatna bima
ladayhi khubran
This was their condition, and whatever Dhul-Qarnain
had, WE knew it very well.
ثُمَّ
أَتْبَعَ
سَبَبًا
92. Thumma atbaAAa sababan
Then he prepared (for another movement),
حَتَّى
إِذَا بَلَغَ
بَيْنَ
السَّدَّيْنِ
وَجَدَ مِن
دُونِهِمَا
قَوْمًا لَّا
يَكَادُونَ
يَفْقَهُونَ
قَوْلًا
93. Hatta itha balagha bayna
alssaddayni wajada min doonihima qawman la yakadoona yafqahoona qawlan
Until he reached between two mountains, there he met
with a nation who could hardly understand a word.
قَالُوا
يَا ذَا
الْقَرْنَيْنِ
إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ
وَمَأْجُوجَ
مُفْسِدُونَ
فِي الْأَرْضِ
فَهَلْ
نَجْعَلُ
لَكَ خَرْجًا
عَلَى أَن
تَجْعَلَ
بَيْنَنَا
وَبَيْنَهُمْ
سَدًّا
94. Qaloo ya tha alqarnayni inna
yajooja wamajooja mufsidoona fee alardi fahal najAAalu laka kharjan AAala an tajAAala baynana wabaynahum saddan
Those people said: "O Dhul-Qarnain!
Gog and Magog (Ya'jûj and Ma'jûj) spread great mischief in this land,
should we then pay you any tax for this task that you build a barrier between
us and them?"
قَالَ مَا
مَكَّنِّي
فِيهِ رَبِّي
خَيْرٌ فَأَعِينُونِي
بِقُوَّةٍ
أَجْعَلْ
بَيْنَكُمْ
وَبَيْنَهُمْ
رَدْمًا
95. Qala ma makkannee feehi rabbee
khayrun faaAAeenoonee biquwwatin ajAAal baynakum wabaynahum radman
He said: "Whatever my Râbb has given me is enough. So you just help me with labor, I am going to
build a barrier between you and them.
آتُونِي
زُبَرَ
الْحَدِيدِ
حَتَّى إِذَا
سَاوَى
بَيْنَ
الصَّدَفَيْنِ
قَالَ
انفُخُوا حَتَّى
إِذَا
جَعَلَهُ
نَارًا قَالَ
آتُونِي
أُفْرِغْ
عَلَيْهِ
قِطْرًا
96. Atoonee zubara alhadeedi
hatta itha sawa bayna alsadafayni qala onfukhoo hatta itha jaAAalahu naran qala
atoonee ofrigh AAalayhi qitran
"Bring me iron sheets."
Finally, when he filled the gap between the two mountain-cliffs then he
asked the people that now light the fire.
Until when (this iron wall) became red hot like fire then he said:
"Now bring me melted brass I shall pour over it”.
فَمَا
اسْطَاعُوا
أَن
يَظْهَرُوهُ
وَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا
لَهُ نَقْبًا
97. Fama istaAAoo an yathharoohu wama istataAAoo lahu naqban
(This barrier was such that) Gog and Magog (Ya'jûj and Ma'jûj) could not even climb
over it and to dig a hole in it was the most difficult task for them.
قَالَ
هَذَا
رَحْمَةٌ
مِّن رَّبِّي
فَإِذَا جَاء
وَعْدُ
رَبِّي
جَعَلَهُ
دَكَّاء وَكَانَ
وَعْدُ
رَبِّي
حَقًّا
98. Qala hatha rahmatun min
rabbee faitha jaa waAAdu rabbee jaAAalahu dakkaa wakana waAAdu rabbee haqqan
Dhul-Qarnain said: "This is a blessing from my Râbb. But when the time for the Promise of my Râbb
will come then HE will level it to the ground, and the Promise of my Râbb is
ever true."
وَتَرَكْنَا
بَعْضَهُمْ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
يَمُوجُ فِي
بَعْضٍ
وَنُفِخَ فِي
الصُّورِ
فَجَمَعْنَاهُمْ
جَمْعًا
99. Watarakna baAAdahum
yawmaithin yamooju fee baAAdin wanufikha fee alssoori fajamaAAnahum jamAAan
And on that Day WE shall let the people go to pell-mell with each other (like
waves in the sea) and the cornet/trumpet will be blown and WE shall gather the
entire mankind together.
وَعَرَضْنَا
جَهَنَّمَ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
لِّلْكَافِرِينَ
عَرْضًا
100. WaAAaradna jahannama
yawmaithin lilkafireena AAardan
And that will be the Day when WE shall bring Hell
before the infidels (Kafir),
الَّذِينَ
كَانَتْ
أَعْيُنُهُمْ
فِي غِطَاء
عَن ذِكْرِي
وَكَانُوا
لَا
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
سَمْعًا
101. Allatheena kanat aAAyunuhum
fee ghitain AAan thikree wakanoo la yastateeAAoona samAAan
Before those infidels (Kafir) who were (pretending to
be) blind from MY Advice (Al-Qur'ân) and were not ready to hear anything. (R) 2
أَفَحَسِبَ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا أَن
يَتَّخِذُوا
عِبَادِي مِن
دُونِي
أَوْلِيَاء
إِنَّا
أَعْتَدْنَا
جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ
نُزُلًا
102. Afahasiba allatheena kafaroo
an yattakhithoo AAibadee min doonee awliyaa inna aAAtadna jahannama
lilkafireena nuzulan
Do then the people who have adopted the way of infidelity (Kufr) think that
they take MY slaves as their deities (Auliyâ') except ME? WE have prepared Hell for the entertainment
of such infidels (Kafir).
قُلْ هَلْ
نُنَبِّئُكُمْ
بِالْأَخْسَرِينَ
أَعْمَالًا
103. Qul hal nunabbiokum
bialakhsareena aAAmalan
O Prophet
(Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
ask them, "Shall WE tell you that who are most unsuccessful and unlucky
people in their deeds?
الَّذِينَ
ضَلَّ
سَعْيُهُمْ
فِي الْحَيَاةِ
الدُّنْيَا
وَهُمْ
يَحْسَبُونَ
أَنَّهُمْ
يُحْسِنُونَ
صُنْعًا
104. Allatheena dalla saAAyuhum
fee alhayati alddunya wahum yahsaboona annahum yuhsinoona sunAAan
Those,
whose efforts in this worldly life had gone astray from the right path and they
kept thinking that what they are doing is right.
أُولَئِكَ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ
وَلِقَائِهِ
فَحَبِطَتْ
أَعْمَالُهُمْ
فَلَا
نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ
يَوْمَ
الْقِيَامَةِ
وَزْنًا
105. Olaika allatheena kafaroo
biayati rabbihim waliqaihi fahabitat aAAmaluhum fala nuqeemu lahum yawma
alqiyamati waznan
These are the people who denied embracing the Revelation
(Ayât) of their Râbb and did not believe in appearing before HIM. This is why all of their deeds are wasted; on
the Day of Judgment, WE shall not give any weight to them.
ذَلِكَ
جَزَاؤُهُمْ
جَهَنَّمُ
بِمَا كَفَرُوا
وَاتَّخَذُوا
آيَاتِي
وَرُسُلِي
هُزُوًا
106. Thalika jazaohum jahannamu
bima kafaroo waittakhathoo ayatee warusulee huzuwan
Their reward is Hell for that infidelity which they
have committed and because the mockery they have been doing with MY Revelation
(Ayât) and with MY Rasools.
إِنَّ
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
وَعَمِلُوا
الصَّالِحَاتِ
كَانَتْ
لَهُمْ
جَنَّاتُ
الْفِرْدَوْسِ
نُزُلًا
107. Inna allatheena amanoo
waAAamiloo alssalihati kanat lahum jannatu alfirdawsi nuzulan
However; those people who brought Faith and did righteous deeds, for their warm
reception there will be Gardens of Al-Firdaus (the Paradise)
خَالِدِينَ
فِيهَا لَا
يَبْغُونَ
عَنْهَا حِوَلًا
108. Khalideena feeha la
yabghoona AAanha hiwalan
In which they will live forever and they never like to
go out anywhere else from that place.
قُل
لَّوْ كَانَ
الْبَحْرُ
مِدَادًا
لِّكَلِمَاتِ
رَبِّي
لَنَفِدَ
الْبَحْرُ
قَبْلَ أَن
تَنفَدَ
كَلِمَاتُ
رَبِّي
وَلَوْ جِئْنَا
بِمِثْلِهِ
مَدَدًا
109. Qul law kana albahru midadan
likalimati rabbee lanafida albahru qabla an tanfada kalimatu rabbee walaw jina
bimithlihi madadan
O Prophet
(Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
tell them: "If the ocean become ink to write-down the Words of my Râbb;
the ocean will deplete but the Words of my Râbb will not finish, even if we
bring that much more ink (another ocean) it does not suffice."
قُلْ
إِنَّمَا
أَنَا بَشَرٌ
مِّثْلُكُمْ
يُوحَى
إِلَيَّ
أَنَّمَا
إِلَهُكُمْ
إِلَهٌ
وَاحِدٌ
فَمَن كَانَ
يَرْجُو
لِقَاء رَبِّهِ
فَلْيَعْمَلْ
عَمَلًا
صَالِحًا
وَلَا يُشْرِكْ
بِعِبَادَةِ
رَبِّهِ أَحَدًا
110. Qul innama ana
basharun mithlukum yooha ilayya annama ilahukum ilahun wahidun faman kana
yarjoo liqaa rabbihi falyaAAmal AAamalan salihan wala yushrik biAAibadati
rabbihi ahadan
O Prophet
(Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)
say: "I am a human as you are, a revelation is being send to me that your
Allâh is only One Allâh therefore whoever anticipate to meet with his/her Râbb
he/she should do righteous deeds and do not associate any partners with his/her
Râbb in devotion (worship). (R) 3

(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful
كهيعص
1. Kâf
HâYâ'AînSâd.
(Kâf HâYâ'AînSâd -- these letters are called prefixes,
muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala,
Knows the meanings).
ذِكْرُ
رَحْمَةِ
رَبِّكَ
عَبْدَهُ
زَكَرِيَّا
2. Thikru
rahmati rabbika AAabdahu zakariyya
This is to remember the blessing that your Râbb had
bestowed on HIS servant Zakariyâ,
إِذْ
نَادَى
رَبَّهُ
نِدَاء
خَفِيًّا
3. Ith
nada rabbahu nidaan khafiyyan
When he secretly prayed to his Râbb.
قَالَ
رَبِّ إِنِّي
وَهَنَ
الْعَظْمُ
مِنِّي
وَاشْتَعَلَ
الرَّأْسُ
شَيْبًا
وَلَمْ أَكُن
بِدُعَائِكَ
رَبِّ
شَقِيًّا
4. Qala rabbi innee wahana alAAathmu minnee waishtaAAala
alrrasu shayban walam akun biduAAaika rabbi shaqiyyan
He supplicated: "O Râbb, my bones have grown feeble and head has glow with
old age. O Râbb, I never had been
unlucky in my supplications to YOU.
وَإِنِّي
خِفْتُ
الْمَوَالِيَ
مِن وَرَائِي
وَكَانَتِ
امْرَأَتِي
عَاقِرًا
فَهَبْ لِي
مِن لَّدُنكَ
وَلِيًّا
5. Wainnee khiftu almawaliya min waraee wakanati imraatee
AAaqiran fahab lee min ladunka waliyyan
I have fear of bad deeds of my relatives after me, and my wife is
infertile. YOU with YOUR special Mercy
bless me with an inheritor
يَرِثُنِي
وَيَرِثُ
مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ
وَاجْعَلْهُ
رَبِّ
رَضِيًّا
6. Yarithunee wayarithu min ali
yaAAqooba waijAAalhu rabbi radiyyan
Who should be my inheritor and inherits the progeny of Ya'qûb, and O Râbb, make
him amiable person".
يَا
زَكَرِيَّا
إِنَّا
نُبَشِّرُكَ
بِغُلَامٍ
اسْمُهُ
يَحْيَى لَمْ
نَجْعَل لَّهُ
مِن قَبْلُ
سَمِيًّا
7. Ya zakariyya inna nubashshiruka bighulamin ismuhu yahya lam
najAAal lahu min qablu samiyyan
(Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala, responded) "O Zakariyâ, WE give you a good news of a son
whose name will be Yahya. WE have not
created any other person with this name before it."
قَالَ
رَبِّ أَنَّى
يَكُونُ لِي
غُلَامٌ وَكَانَتِ
امْرَأَتِي
عَاقِرًا
وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ
مِنَ
الْكِبَرِ
عِتِيًّا
8. Qala rabbi anna yakoonu lee ghulamun wakanati imraatee
AAaqiran waqad balaghtu mina alkibari AAitiyyan
He asked, "O Râbb, how will I have a son when my wife is infertile and I
have become dry because of old age”.
قَالَ
كَذَلِكَ
قَالَ
رَبُّكَ هُوَ
عَلَيَّ
هَيِّنٌ
وَقَدْ
خَلَقْتُكَ
مِن قَبْلُ
وَلَمْ تَكُ
شَيْئًا
9. Qala kathalika qala rabbuka huwa AAalayya hayyinun waqad
khalaqtuka min qablu walam taku shayan
Response came, "So will it be. Your
Râbb says that it is a trivial thing for ME, after all I have created you
before this when you were nothing"
قَالَ
رَبِّ اجْعَل
لِّي آيَةً
قَالَ آيَتُكَ
أَلَّا
تُكَلِّمَ
النَّاسَ
ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ
سَوِيًّا
10. Qala
rabbi ijAAal lee ayatan qala ayatuka alla tukallima alnnasa thalatha layalin sawiyyan
Zakariyâ said: "O Râbb, appoint a sign for me.” Response came: "Your sign is that you
could (should) not talk with people for three consecutive days.”
فَخَرَجَ
عَلَى
قَوْمِهِ
مِنَ
الْمِحْرَابِ
فَأَوْحَى
إِلَيْهِمْ
أَن
سَبِّحُوا بُكْرَةً
وَعَشِيًّا
11.
Fakharaja AAala qawmihi mina almihrabi faawha ilayhim an sabbihoo bukratan waAAashiyyan
Accordingly, he came out from the Arch (Al-Mihrâb) to his people and he advised
them by signs to glorify Allâh in the morning and in the evening.
يَا يَحْيَى
خُذِ
الْكِتَابَ
بِقُوَّةٍ
وَآتَيْنَاهُ
الْحُكْمَ
صَبِيًّا
12. Ya
yahya khuthi alkitaba biquwwatin waataynahu alhukma sabiyyan
"O Yahya, hold firm the Book of Allâh." WE blessed him with “Wisdom” (Hukam) in his
childhood,
وَحَنَانًا
مِّن
لَّدُنَّا
وَزَكَاةً
وَكَانَ
تَقِيًّا
13.
Wahananan min ladunna wazakatan wakana taqiyyan
And blessed him with kindness and purity from OURSELF,
and he was very pious
وَبَرًّا
بِوَالِدَيْهِ
وَلَمْ يَكُن
جَبَّارًا
عَصِيًّا
14.
Wabarran biwalidayhi walam yakun jabbaran AAasiyyan
And, dutiful to his parents. He was neither an oppressor nor
disobedient.
وَسَلَامٌ
عَلَيْهِ
يَوْمَ
وُلِدَ
وَيَوْمَ
يَمُوتُ
وَيَوْمَ
يُبْعَثُ
حَيًّا
15.
Wasalamun AAalayhi yawma wulida wayawma yamootu wayawma yubAAathu
hayyan
Peace (Salâmun) is on him the day he was born, the day he dies, and the day he
will be raised again to life. (R) 4
وَاذْكُرْ
فِي
الْكِتَابِ
مَرْيَمَ
إِذِ انتَبَذَتْ
مِنْ
أَهْلِهَا
مَكَانًا
شَرْقِيًّا
16.
Waothkur fee alkitabi maryama ithi intabathat min ahliha makanan
sharqiyyan
And O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam), mention about Maryam in this Book (Al-Qur'ân), when she
isolated (herself) from her people and had confined to a place in the eastern
side
فَاتَّخَذَتْ
مِن
دُونِهِمْ
حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَا
إِلَيْهَا
رُوحَنَا
فَتَمَثَّلَ
لَهَا
بَشَرًا
سَوِيًّا
17.
Faittakhathat min doonihim hijaban faarsalna ilayha roohana
fatamaththala laha basharan sawiyyan
And (she) had hidden from them by placing a
screen. In that situation, WE sent OUR
Rûh (Angel -- Jibrael, Gabriel) to her and he appeared before her in the form
of a complete man.
قَالَتْ
إِنِّي
أَعُوذُ
بِالرَّحْمَن
مِنكَ إِن
كُنتَ
تَقِيًّا
18.
Qalat innee aAAoothu bialrrahmani minka in kunta taqiyyan
Maryam suddenly said: "If you fear Allâh then I seek refuge of Allâh
against you”.
قَالَ
إِنَّمَا
أَنَا
رَسُولُ
رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ
لَكِ
غُلَامًا
زَكِيًّا
19. Qala
innama ana rasoolu rabbiki liahaba laki ghulaman zakiyyan
He (Angel) said: "I am only a messenger from your Râbb and I am sent to
give you a righteous son”.
قَالَتْ
أَنَّى
يَكُونُ لِي
غُلَامٌ
وَلَمْ
يَمْسَسْنِي
بَشَرٌ
وَلَمْ أَكُ
بَغِيًّا
20. Qalat
anna yakoonu lee ghulamun walam yamsasnee basharun walam aku baghiyyan
Maryam said: "How shall I have a son when no man has ever touched me and I
am not an unchaste woman?"
قَالَ
كَذَلِكِ
قَالَ
رَبُّكِ هُوَ
عَلَيَّ
هَيِّنٌ
وَلِنَجْعَلَهُ
آيَةً
لِلنَّاسِ
وَرَحْمَةً
مِّنَّا
وَكَانَ
أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا
21. Qala
kathaliki qala rabbuki huwa AAalayya hayyinun walinajAAalahu ayatan lilnnasi
warahmatan minna wakana amran maqdiyyan
Angel said: "So will it be, your Râbb says that it is very easy for ME to
do so and WE will do so in order to make that boy a sign for the people and a
blessing from US (Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) --
and this has to happen."
فَحَمَلَتْهُ
فَانتَبَذَتْ
بِهِ مَكَانًا
قَصِيًّا
22. Fahamalathu
faintabathat bihi makanan qasiyyan
Therefore, Maryam conceived that child and she went to a distant place (Bethlehem
valley about 4 - 6 miles from Jerusalem)
with that pregnancy.
فَأَجَاءهَا
الْمَخَاضُ
إِلَى جِذْعِ
النَّخْلَةِ
قَالَتْ يَا
لَيْتَنِي
مِتُّ قَبْلَ
هَذَا
وَكُنتُ
نَسْيًا
مَّنسِيًّا
23. Faajaaha
almakhadu ila jithAAi alnnakhlati qalat ya laytanee mittu qabla hatha wakuntu
nasyan mansiyyan
Then the pain of childbirth brought her under a date-palm tree. She began to say: "Would that! I had
died before this and had been long forgotten”.
فَنَادَاهَا
مِن
تَحْتِهَا
أَلَّا
تَحْزَنِي
قَدْ جَعَلَ
رَبُّكِ
تَحْتَكِ
سَرِيًّا
24. Fanadaha
min tahtiha alla tahzanee qad jaAAala rabbuki tahtaki sariyyan
The Angel called her from her feet-side and said: "Do not grieve. Your Râbb has gush a water stream underneath
you
وَهُزِّي
إِلَيْكِ
بِجِذْعِ
النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ
عَلَيْكِ
رُطَبًا
جَنِيًّا
25. Wahuzzee
ilayki bijithAAi alnnakhlati tusaqit AAalayki rutaban janiyyan
And, you just shake the trunk of this tree; fresh
ripe-dates will fall on you.
فَكُلِي
وَاشْرَبِي
وَقَرِّي
عَيْنًا فَإِمَّا
تَرَيِنَّ
مِنَ
الْبَشَرِ
أَحَدًا فَقُولِي
إِنِّي
نَذَرْتُ
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
صَوْمًا
فَلَنْ
أُكَلِّمَ
الْيَوْمَ
إِنسِيًّا
26. Fakulee
waishrabee waqarree AAaynan faimma tarayinna mina albashari ahadan faqoolee
innee nathartu lilrrahmani sawman falan okallima alyawma insiyyan
Therefore, you eat, drink, and refresh your eyes. Then if you see any person tell him/her, “I
have pledged a fast for the Most Loving Allâh -- so today I shall not speak to
anyone.”
فَأَتَتْ
بِهِ
قَوْمَهَا
تَحْمِلُهُ
قَالُوا يَا
مَرْيَمُ
لَقَدْ
جِئْتِ
شَيْئًا فَرِيًّا
27. Faatat
bihi qawmaha tahmiluhu qaloo ya maryamu laqad jiti shayan fariyyan
Then she came to her people with that child.
People started saying: "O Maryam, you have committed a hateful sin
(Fariya).
يَا
أُخْتَ
هَارُونَ مَا
كَانَ
أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ
سَوْءٍ وَمَا
كَانَتْ
أُمُّكِ
بَغِيًّا
28. Ya okhta haroona ma kana abooki imraa sawin wama kanat
ommuki baghiyyan
O sister of Hârûn, neither your father was a bad person nor your mother was
unchaste lady."
فَأَشَارَتْ
إِلَيْهِ
قَالُوا
كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ
مَن كَانَ فِي
الْمَهْدِ
صَبِيًّا
29. Faasharat ilayhi qaloo kayfa nukallimu man kana fee almahdi
sabiyyan
Maryam pointed towards the child. People
said: "What shall we ask from him who is a boy in the cradle?"
قَالَ
إِنِّي
عَبْدُ
اللَّهِ
آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ
وَجَعَلَنِي
نَبِيًّا
30. Qala innee AAabdu Allahi ataniya alkitaba wajaAAalanee
nabiyyan
The boy spoke out: “I am a servant of Allâh.
HE gave me a Book, and appointed me as a Prophet,
وَجَعَلَنِي
مُبَارَكًا
أَيْنَ مَا
كُنتُ وَأَوْصَانِي
بِالصَّلَاةِ
وَالزَّكَاةِ
مَا دُمْتُ
حَيًّا
31. WajaAAalanee mubarakan aynama kuntu waawsanee bialssalati
waalzzakati ma dumtu hayyan
And HE blessed me wherever I live, and (HE) enjoined for the punctuality of
prayer (Salât) and the poor-dues (Zakât) as long as I am alive,
وَبَرًّا
بِوَالِدَتِي
وَلَمْ
يَجْعَلْنِي
جَبَّارًا
شَقِيًّا
32. Wabarran biwalidatee walam yajAAalnee jabbaran shaqiyyan
And, made me dutiful to my mother, and did not make me
cruel and uneasy.
وَالسَّلَامُ
عَلَيَّ
يَوْمَ
وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ
أَمُوتُ
وَيَوْمَ
أُبْعَثُ
حَيًّا
33. Waalssalamu AAalayya yawma wulidtu wayawma amootu wayawma
obAAathu hayyan
Peace (Salâm) is upon me the day I was born and when I die and when I am raised
again to life."
ذَلِكَ
عِيسَى ابْنُ
مَرْيَمَ
قَوْلَ الْحَقِّ
الَّذِي
فِيهِ
يَمْتَرُونَ
34. Thalika AAeesa ibnu maryama qawla alhaqqi allathee feehi
yamtaroona
This is 'Iesa the son of Maryam and this is that truth
about him for which people are doubtful.
مَا كَانَ
لِلَّهِ أَن
يَتَّخِذَ
مِن وَلَدٍ
سُبْحَانَهُ
إِذَا قَضَى
أَمْرًا
فَإِنَّمَا
يَقُولُ لَهُ
كُن
فَيَكُونُ
35. Ma kana lillahi an yattakhitha min waladin subhanahu itha
qada amran fainnama yaqoolu lahu kun fayakoonu
It is not for Allâh to take anyone as HIS son.
HE is pure (Glorified, Exalted).
HE when decides about anything then HE just says, "Be", and it
is (it comes into being).
وَإِنَّ
اللَّهَ
رَبِّي
وَرَبُّكُمْ
فَاعْبُدُوهُ
هَذَا
صِرَاطٌ
مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
36. Wainna Allaha rabbee warabbukum faoAAbudoohu hatha siratun
mustaqeemun
(And 'Iesa had said that): "Allâh is my Râbb and as well as your Râbb, so
you should only serve (worship) HIM, this is the Straight Path”.
فَاخْتَلَفَ
الْأَحْزَابُ
مِن
بَيْنِهِمْ
فَوَيْلٌ
لِّلَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا مِن
مَّشْهَدِ
يَوْمٍ
عَظِيمٍ
37. Faikhtalafa alahzabu min baynihim fawaylun lillatheena
kafaroo min mashhadi yawmin AAatheemin
But then different sects began disputing among themselves.Therefore, those
people who committed infidelity (Kufr) for them that time will be of great
destruction when they will observe a big day (A Day of Resurrection).
أَسْمِعْ
بِهِمْ
وَأَبْصِرْ
يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا
لَكِنِ
الظَّالِمُونَ
الْيَوْمَ فِي
ضَلَالٍ
مُّبِينٍ
38. AsmiAA
bihim waabsir yawma yatoonana lakini alththalimoona alyawma fee dalalin
mubeenin
When they will be brought before US (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) that day their ears
will listen clearly and their eyes will also see very well -- but today these
cruels (Zâlimûn) are in total error.
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ
يَوْمَ
الْحَسْرَةِ
إِذْ قُضِيَ
الْأَمْرُ
وَهُمْ فِي
غَفْلَةٍ
وَهُمْ لَا
يُؤْمِنُونَ
39. Waanthirhum
yawma alhasrati ith qudiya alamru wahum fee ghaflatin wahum la yuminoona
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam), when these people are negligent and are not bringing the Faith
-- in this situation warn them about that Day when the decision will be given
and nothing can be done except regrets.
إِنَّا
نَحْنُ
نَرِثُ
الْأَرْضَ
وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا
وَإِلَيْنَا
يُرْجَعُونَ
40.
Inna nahnu narithu alarda waman AAalayha wailayna yurjaAAoona
Finally, WE will be inheriting all that what is in the earth and everyone will
be brought back to US (Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala). (R) 5
وَاذْكُرْ
فِي
الْكِتَابِ
إِبْرَاهِيمَ
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ
صِدِّيقًا
نَّبِيًّا
41.
Waothkur fee alkitabi ibraheema innahu kana siddeeqan nabiyyan
And, narrate the story of Ibrâhim in this Book, no doubt he was a righteous man
and a Prophet.
إِذْ
قَالَ
لِأَبِيهِ
يَا أَبَتِ
لِمَ تَعْبُدُ
مَا لَا
يَسْمَعُ
وَلَا
يُبْصِرُ
وَلَا
يُغْنِي
عَنكَ
شَيْئًا
42.
Ith qala liabeehi ya abati lima taAAbudu ma la
yasmaAAu wala yubsiru wala yughnee AAanka shayan
(Just remind them of that occasion) When he said to his father: "Dear
father, why do you worship those things which can neither hear nor see and nor
can benefit you in anything?
يَا
أَبَتِ
إِنِّي قَدْ
جَاءنِي مِنَ
الْعِلْمِ
مَا لَمْ
يَأْتِكَ
فَاتَّبِعْنِي
أَهْدِكَ
صِرَاطًا
سَوِيًّا
43.
Ya abati innee qad jaanee mina alAAilmi ma lam yatika faittabiAAnee
ahdika siratan sawiyyan
Dear father, such knowledge has come to me, which did not come to you, you
follow me, I will guide you to the Straight Path.
يَا
أَبَتِ لَا
تَعْبُدِ
الشَّيْطَانَ
إِنَّ
الشَّيْطَانَ
كَانَ
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
عَصِيًّا
44.
Ya abati la taAAbudi alshshaytana inna alshshaytana kana lilrrahmani AAasiyyan
Dear father, do not serve Shaitân, Shaitân is disobedient to the Most Loving
(Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala).
يَا
أَبَتِ
إِنِّي
أَخَافُ أَن
يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ
مِّنَ
الرَّحْمَن
فَتَكُونَ
لِلشَّيْطَانِ
وَلِيًّا
45.
Ya abati innee akhafu an yamassaka AAathabun mina alrrahmani
fatakoona lilshshyatani waliyyan
Dear father! I have feared that you may
not incur the punishment of the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) and become Shaitân’s
companion."
قَالَ
أَرَاغِبٌ
أَنتَ عَنْ
آلِهَتِي يَا
إِبْراهِيمُ
لَئِن لَّمْ
تَنتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ
وَاهْجُرْنِي
مَلِيًّا
46.
Qala araghibun anta AAan alihatee ya ibraheemu lain lam tantahi
laarjumannaka waohjurnee maliyyan
Father responded: "Ibrâhim, Have you been averted from my deities (Ilâhan)? If you did not stop then I shall stone you to
death. So you should isolate yourself
from me forever.”
قَالَ
سَلَامٌ
عَلَيْكَ
سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ
لَكَ رَبِّي
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ بِي
حَفِيًّا
47.
Qala salamun AAalayka saastaghfiru laka rabbee innahu kana bee
hafiyyan
Ibrâhim said: "Good-by to you. I
shall pray to my Râbb to forgive you; my Râbb is very kind to me.
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ
وَمَا
تَدْعُونَ
مِن دُونِ
اللَّهِ
وَأَدْعُو
رَبِّي عَسَى
أَلَّا أَكُونَ
بِدُعَاء
رَبِّي
شَقِيًّا
48.
WaaAAtazilukum wama tadAAoona min dooni Allahi waadAAoo rabbee AAasa
alla akoona biduAAai rabbee shaqiyyan
I leave you people and as well as those deities whom you invoke except
Allâh. I shall only call my Râbb; it is
hopped that I shall not be forsaken by calling to my Râbb."
فَلَمَّا
اعْتَزَلَهُمْ
وَمَا
يَعْبُدُونَ
مِن دُونِ
اللَّهِ
وَهَبْنَا
لَهُ إِسْحَقَ
وَيَعْقُوبَ
وَكُلًّا
جَعَلْنَا
نَبِيًّا
49.
Falamma iAAtazalahum wama yaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi wahabna lahu
ishaqa wayaAAqooba wakullan jaAAalna nabiyyan
So when he turned away from those people and their
deities except Allâh then WE gave him children like Ishâque and Ya'qûb and made
each of them Prophet.
وَوَهَبْنَا
لَهُم مِّن
رَّحْمَتِنَا
وَجَعَلْنَا
لَهُمْ
لِسَانَ
صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّا
50.
Wawahabna lahum min rahmatina wajaAAalna lahum lisana sidqin
AAaliyyan
And, bestowed them with OUR Blessings and granted them true honor. (R) 6
وَاذْكُرْ
فِي
الْكِتَابِ
مُوسَى
إِنَّهُ كَانَ
مُخْلَصًا
وَكَانَ
رَسُولًا
نَّبِيًّا
51.
Waothkur fee alkitabi moosa innahu kana mukhlasan wakana rasoolan
nabiyyan
And, mention about Mûsa in this Book. He
was a chosen person and was a Messenger Prophet.
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ
مِن جَانِبِ
الطُّورِ
الْأَيْمَنِ
وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ
نَجِيًّا
52.
Wanadaynahu min janibi alttoori alaymani waqarrabnahu najiyyan
WE called him from the right side of the Tur (Mount) and honored him with a
secret conversation,
وَوَهَبْنَا
لَهُ مِن
رَّحْمَتِنَا
أَخَاهُ
هَارُونَ
نَبِيًّا
53.
Wawahabna lahu min rahmatina akhahu haroona nabiyyan
And, with OUR Blessing (WE) made his brother Hârûn a Prophet and gave to him
(as a helper).
وَاذْكُرْ
فِي
الْكِتَابِ
إِسْمَاعِيلَ
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ
صَادِقَ
الْوَعْدِ
وَكَانَ
رَسُولًا
نَّبِيًّا
54.
Waothkur fee alkitabi ismaAAeela innahu kana sadiqa alwaAAdi wakana
rasoolan nabiyyan
And, mention about Ismâ'il in this Book.
He was truthful in his promise (a man of word) and was a Messenger
Prophet.
وَكَانَ
يَأْمُرُ
أَهْلَهُ
بِالصَّلَاةِ
وَالزَّكَاةِ
وَكَانَ
عِندَ
رَبِّهِ
مَرْضِيًّا
55.
Wakana yamuru ahlahu bialssalati waalzzakati wakana AAinda rabbihi
mardiyyan
He used to command his family for prayer (Salât) and the poor-dues (Zakât) and
was a favorable person in the sight of his Râbb.
وَاذْكُرْ
فِي
الْكِتَابِ
إِدْرِيسَ
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ
صِدِّيقًا
نَّبِيًّا
56.
Waothkur fee alkitabi idreesa innahu kana siddeeqan nabiyyan
And, mention about Idris in this Book.
He was a pious person and a Prophet.
وَرَفَعْنَاهُ
مَكَانًا
عَلِيًّا
57.
WarafaAAnahu makanan AAaliyyan
And WE raised him to a high place (rank).
أُوْلَئِكَ
الَّذِينَ
أَنْعَمَ
اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم
مِّنَ
النَّبِيِّينَ
مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ
آدَمَ
وَمِمَّنْ
حَمَلْنَا
مَعَ نُوحٍ
وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ
إِبْرَاهِيمَ
وَإِسْرَائِيلَ
وَمِمَّنْ
هَدَيْنَا
وَاجْتَبَيْنَا
إِذَا
تُتْلَى
عَلَيْهِمْ
آيَاتُ
الرَّحْمَن خَرُّوا
سُجَّدًا
وَبُكِيًّا(Al-Sajjdah)
58.
Olaika allatheena anAAama Allahu AAalayhim mina alnnabiyyeena min
thurriyyati adama wamimman hamalna maAAa noohin wamin thurriyyati ibraheema
waisraeela wamimman hadayna waijtabayna itha tutla AAalayhim ayatu alrrahmani
kharroo sujjadan wabukiyyan
These are those messengers from the children of Adam on whom Allâh bestowed HIS
Love, and from among the progeny of those people whom WE had embarked in the
boat with Nûh, and from the offspring of Ibrâhim and from the breed of
Israel. And, they were from among those
people whom WE guided and favored. Their
condition was such that when the Verses of the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)
were recited to them -- then with tears (in their eyes) they fell down in
prostration.
فَخَلَفَ
مِن
بَعْدِهِمْ
خَلْفٌ
أَضَاعُوا
الصَّلَاةَ
وَاتَّبَعُوا
الشَّهَوَاتِ
فَسَوْفَ
يَلْقَوْنَ
غَيًّا
59.
Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun adaAAoo alssalata waittabaAAoo
alshshahawati fasawfa yalqawna ghayyan
Then after them those deteriorate people became their
successors who wasted prayer (Salât) and followed their lust, so it is quite
near that, they should suffer the consequence of going astray.
إِلَّا
مَن تَابَ
وَآمَنَ
وَعَمِلَ
صَالِحًا
فَأُوْلَئِكَ
يَدْخُلُونَ
الْجَنَّةَ وَلَا
يُظْلَمُونَ
شَيْئًا
60.
Illa man taba waamana waAAamila salihan faolaika yadkhuloona aljannata
wala yuthlamoona shayan
However those who repent and bring Faith and do righteous deeds they will enter
into the Paradise and no unjust will be done to them.
جَنَّاتِ
عَدْنٍ
الَّتِي
وَعَدَ
الرَّحْمَنُ
عِبَادَهُ
بِالْغَيْبِ
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ وَعْدُهُ
مَأْتِيًّا
61.
Jannati AAadnin allatee waAAada alrrahmanu AAibadahu bialghaybi
innahu kana waAAduhu matiyyan
There is everlasting Paradise
('Adn, Eden) for them, which the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) has secretly promised to HIS slaves and
certainly, this promise has to be fulfilled.
لَا
يَسْمَعُونَ
فِيهَا
لَغْوًا
إِلَّا سَلَامًا
وَلَهُمْ
رِزْقُهُمْ
فِيهَا بُكْرَةً
وَعَشِيًّا
62. La
yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan illa salaman walahum rizquhum feeha bukratan
waAAashiyyan
There they shall not hear any nonsense talk, whatever they will hear will be
only righteous, peace (Salâm). And, they
will regularly keep getting their provisions morning and evening.
تِلْكَ
الْجَنَّةُ
الَّتِي
نُورِثُ مِنْ
عِبَادِنَا
مَن كَانَ
تَقِيًّا
63. Tilka
aljannatu allatee noorithu min AAibadina man kana taqiyyan
This is that Paradise whose
inheritors WE shall make those among OUR servants who have been pious
(Al-Muttaqûn).
وَمَا
نَتَنَزَّلُ
إِلَّا
بِأَمْرِ
رَبِّكَ لَهُ
مَا بَيْنَ
أَيْدِينَا
وَمَا
خَلْفَنَا
وَمَا بَيْنَ
ذَلِكَ وَمَا
كَانَ
رَبُّكَ
نَسِيًّا
64. Wama
natanazzalu illa biamri rabbika lahu ma bayna aydeena wama khalfana wama bayna
thalika wama kana rabbuka nasiyyan O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), we do
not come down without the Command of your Râbb.
Whatever is before us and whatever is behind us and whatever is in
between these -- all that belongs to HIM and your Râbb is not forgetful.
رَبُّ
السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَالْأَرْضِ
وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا
فَاعْبُدْهُ
وَاصْطَبِرْ
لِعِبَادَتِهِ
هَلْ تَعْلَمُ
لَهُ
سَمِيًّا
65.
Rabbu alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma faoAAbudhu waistabir
liAAibadatihi hal taAAlamu lahu samiyyan
HE is a Râbb of the skies and the earth and of all those things, which are between
the skies and the earth; therefore, you should serve HIM (Alone) and remain
firm on HIS service. Do you know any
other being equal to HIS excellence? (R)

وَيَقُولُ
الْإِنسَانُ
أَئِذَا مَا
مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ
أُخْرَجُ
حَيًّا
66. Wayaqoolu
alinsanu aitha ma mittu lasawfa okhraju hayyan
Human asks: "Is it really when I shall be dead then I shall again be
brought to life?"
أَوَلَا
يَذْكُرُ
الْإِنسَانُ
أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ
مِن قَبْلُ
وَلَمْ يَكُ
شَيْئًا
67.
Awa la yathkuru alinsanu anna khalaqnahu min qablu walam yaku shayan
Does human not recall that WE have created him before when he was nothing?
فَوَرَبِّكَ
لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ
وَالشَّيَاطِينَ
ثُمَّ
لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ
حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ
جِثِيًّا
68.
Fawarabbika lanahshurannahum waalshshayateena thumma lanuhdirannahum
hawla jahannama jithiyyan
By your Râbb, WE certainly shall gather them together
along with Shayâtin, then (WE) shall bring them around the Hell and make them
fall on their knees,
ثُمَّ
لَنَنزِعَنَّ
مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ
أَيُّهُمْ
أَشَدُّ
عَلَى
الرَّحْمَنِ
عِتِيًّا
69. Thumma
lananziAAanna min kulli sheeAAatin ayyuhum ashaddu AAala alrrahmani AAitiyyan
Then shall pick out each such person from all sects who had been worst
rebellious against the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana
wa ta’aala),
ثُمَّ
لَنَحْنُ
أَعْلَمُ
بِالَّذِينَ
هُمْ أَوْلَى
بِهَا
صِلِيًّا
70. Thumma
lanahnu aAAlamu biallatheena hum awla biha siliyyan
Then WE know this that who deserves most to be burned in the Hell-fire.
وَإِن مِّنكُمْ
إِلَّا
وَارِدُهَا
كَانَ عَلَى
رَبِّكَ
حَتْمًا
مَّقْضِيًّا
71. Wain minkum illa wariduha kana AAala rabbika hatman
maqdiyyan
There is no one among you -- who will not pass over
the Hell, this is pre-decided, and to fulfill this judgment is the
responsibility of your Râbb.
ثُمَّ
نُنَجِّي
الَّذِينَ
اتَّقَوا
وَّنَذَرُ
الظَّالِمِينَ
فِيهَا
جِثِيًّا
72. Thumma nunajjee allatheena ittaqaw wanatharu alththalimeena
feeha jithiyyan
Then WE shall save those people who (in this world) were pious and will leave
the cruels (Zâlimûn) fallen in it.
وَإِذَا
تُتْلَى
عَلَيْهِمْ
آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ
قَالَ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
لِلَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
أَيُّ
الْفَرِيقَيْنِ
خَيْرٌ
مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ
نَدِيًّا
73. Waitha
tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo
ayyu alfareeqayni khayrun maqaman waahsanu nadiyyan
When OUR Clear Verses are recited to these people then
those who deny say to those who bring Faith: "Tell which one of the two of
us is in a better position and whose meetings are splendid?"
وَكَمْ
أَهْلَكْنَا
قَبْلَهُم
مِّن قَرْنٍ
هُمْ
أَحْسَنُ
أَثَاثًا
وَرِئْيًا
74. Wakam
ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hum ahsanu athathan wariyan
Whereas before them WE have destroyed many such
nations who had more provisions than these people have and were advance in
ostentation (showiness).
قُلْ
مَن كَانَ فِي
الضَّلَالَةِ
فَلْيَمْدُدْ
لَهُ
الرَّحْمَنُ
مَدًّا
حَتَّى إِذَا
رَأَوْا مَا
يُوعَدُونَ
إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ
وَإِمَّا
السَّاعَةَ
فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ
مَنْ هُوَ
شَرٌّ
مَّكَانًا
وَأَضْعَفُ
جُندًا
75. Qul
man kana fee alddalalati falyamdud lahu alrrahmanu maddan hatta itha raaw ma
yooAAadoona imma alAAathaba waimma alssaAAata fasayaAAlamoona man huwa sharrun
makanan waadAAafu jundan
Tell them, whoever indulges in an error the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) extends his/her
rope (gives respite) until when such person sees that thing which he/she has
been promised--either
it is torment of Allâh or the Last Hour--then they come to know
whose condition is worst and whose group is weak!
وَيَزِيدُ
اللَّهُ
الَّذِينَ
اهْتَدَوْا هُدًى
وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ
الصَّالِحَاتُ
خَيْرٌ عِندَ
رَبِّكَ
ثَوَابًا
وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّا
76. Wayazeedu
Allahu allatheena ihtadaw hudan waalbaqiyatu alssalihatu khayrun AAinda rabbika
thawaban wakhayrun maraddan
In contrary to this, those people who adopt the righteous path; Allâh promotes
them in piety and only the lasting righteous deeds are better in the Sight of
your Râbb in regard to reward and finale (last act).
أَفَرَأَيْتَ
الَّذِي
كَفَرَ
بِآيَاتِنَا
وَقَالَ
لَأُوتَيَنَّ
مَالًا
وَوَلَدًا
77. Afaraayta allathee kafara biayatina waqala laootayanna malan wawaladan
Then have you seen that person who denies OUR Revelation (Ayât) and says:
"I shall continuously be blessed with wealth and children?"
أَاطَّلَعَ
الْغَيْبَ
أَمِ
اتَّخَذَ
عِندَ
الرَّحْمَنِ
عَهْدًا
78. AttalaAAa alghayba ami ittakhatha AAinda alrrahmani AAahdan
Has he acquired the knowledge of the unseen or has he taken any promise from
the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala)? ----
كَلَّا
سَنَكْتُبُ
مَا يَقُولُ
وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ
مِنَ
الْعَذَابِ
مَدًّا
79. Kalla
sanaktubu ma yaqoolu wanamuddu lahu mina alAAathabi maddan
Absolutely not, whatever he utters WE shall write it
down and shall increase the punishment more for him.
وَنَرِثُهُ
مَا يَقُولُ
وَيَأْتِينَا
فَرْدًا
80. Wanarithuhu ma yaqoolu wayateena fardan
Whatever provisions he is mentioning all that will
remain with US and he will appear before US all alone.
وَاتَّخَذُوا
مِن دُونِ
اللَّهِ
آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُوا
لَهُمْ
عِزًّا
81. Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahi alihatan liyakoonoo lahum
AAizzan
These people have taken some other deities (Ilâhan)
except Allâh that they will be their supporters (backbones).
كَلَّا
سَيَكْفُرُونَ
بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ
وَيَكُونُونَ
عَلَيْهِمْ
ضِدًّا
82. Kalla sayakfuroona biAAibadatihim wayakoonoona AAalayhim
diddan
There will be no supporter. They all
will deny their service (worship) and will turn against them. (R) 8
أَلَمْ
تَرَ أَنَّا
أَرْسَلْنَا
الشَّيَاطِينَ
عَلَى
الْكَافِرِينَ
تَؤُزُّهُمْ
أَزًّا
83. Alam
tara anna arsalna alshshayateena AAala alkafireena taozzuhum azzan
Don’t you see that WE have set free Shayâtin over the
deniers of Truth, which are provoking them (against the Truth)?
فَلَا
تَعْجَلْ
عَلَيْهِمْ
إِنَّمَا
نَعُدُّ
لَهُمْ
عَدًّا
84. Fala
taAAjal AAalayhim innama naAAuddu lahum AAaddan
Well, then do not be impatience for the coming of adversity on them. WE are counting their days.
يَوْمَ
نَحْشُرُ
الْمُتَّقِينَ
إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ
وَفْدًا
85. Yawma
nahshuru almuttaqeena ila alrrahmani wafdan
That day is near to come -- when we shall bring the pious people (Muttaqûn)
before the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana
wa ta’aala) like guests,
وَنَسُوقُ
الْمُجْرِمِينَ
إِلَى
جَهَنَّمَ
وِرْدًا
86. Wanasooqu almujrimeena ila
jahannama wirdan
And shall drive the criminals (Mujrimûn) to the Hell like thirsty animals.
لَا
يَمْلِكُونَ
الشَّفَاعَةَ
إِلَّا مَنِ
اتَّخَذَ
عِندَ
الرَّحْمَنِ
عَهْدًا
87. La yamlikoona alshshafaAAata illa mani ittakhatha AAinda
alrrahmani AAahdan
At that time, people will not have the ability to bring any intercession,
except the one who has obtained permission from the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala).
وَقَالُوا
اتَّخَذَ
الرَّحْمَنُ
وَلَدًا
88. Waqaloo ittakhatha alrrahmanu waladan
They say: "The Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) has taken someone
as HIS son--
لَقَدْ
جِئْتُمْ
شَيْئًا
إِدًّا
89. Laqad
jitum shayan iddan
It is absolutely nonsense what you people are
fabricating.
تَكَادُ
السَّمَاوَاتُ
يَتَفَطَّرْنَ
مِنْهُ
وَتَنشَقُّ
الْأَرْضُ
وَتَخِرُّ
الْجِبَالُ
هَدًّا
90. Takadu alssamawatu yatafattarna minhu watanshaqqu alardu
watakhirru aljibalu haddan
It is quite near that the skies might burst-out, the
earth gash into a little pieces and the mountains fall down,
أَن
دَعَوْا
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
وَلَدًا
91. An daAAaw lilrrahmani waladan
On this thing, the people have claimed that the Most
Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)
has children!
وَمَا
يَنبَغِي
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
أَن يَتَّخِذَ
وَلَدًا
92. Wama
yanbaghee lilrrahmani an yattakhitha waladan
It is not the Glory of the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) that HE takes someone as HIS son.
إِن كُلُّ
مَن فِي
السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَالْأَرْضِ
إِلَّا آتِي
الرَّحْمَنِ
عَبْدًا
93. In
kullu man fee alssamawati waalardi illa atee alrrahmani AAabdan
Whatever is in the skies and the earth, all that is going to appear before HIM
(Allâh) as servants.
لَقَدْ
أَحْصَاهُمْ
وَعَدَّهُمْ
عَدًّا
94. Laqad
ahsahum waAAaddahum AAaddan
HE prevails all-over and HE has counted them all.
وَكُلُّهُمْ
آتِيهِ
يَوْمَ
الْقِيَامَةِ
فَرْدًا
95. Wakulluhum
ateehi yawma alqiyamati fardan
On the Day of Resurrection, everyone will appear before HIM individually.
إِنَّ
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا
الصَّالِحَاتِ
سَيَجْعَلُ
لَهُمُ
الرَّحْمَنُ
وُدًّا
96. Inna
allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sayajAAalu lahumu alrrahmanu wuddan
Certainly, those people who have brought Faith and are
doing righteous deeds soon the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) will create love in the hearts for them.
فَإِنَّمَا
يَسَّرْنَاهُ
بِلِسَانِكَ
لِتُبَشِّرَ
بِهِ
الْمُتَّقِينَ
وَتُنذِرَ بِهِ
قَوْمًا
لُّدًّا
97. Fainnama
yassarnahu bilisanika litubashshira bihi almuttaqeena watunthira bihi qawman
luddan
Therefore O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam), this is why WE have made this (Al-Qur'ân) easy and
revealed in your own language so that you may give glad tidings to the pious
people (Muttaqûn) and warn the stubborn people.
وَكَمْ
أَهْلَكْنَا
قَبْلَهُم
مِّن قَرْنٍ
هَلْ تُحِسُّ
مِنْهُم
مِّنْ أَحَدٍ
أَوْ تَسْمَعُ
لَهُمْ
رِكْزًا
98. Wakam
ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hal tuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasmaAAu lahum
rikzan
WE have destroyed many nations before them, then today do you find their signs
anywhere or hear any of their whisper?

(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful
طه
1. Tâ-Hâ
(Tâhâ -- these are prefixes, muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala, Knows the meanings).
مَا
أَنزَلْنَا
عَلَيْكَ
الْقُرْآنَ
لِتَشْقَى
2.
Ma anzalna AAalayka alqurana litashqa
WE have not revealed this Al-Qur'ân to you to put you
in difficulty.
إِلَّا
تَذْكِرَةً
لِّمَن
يَخْشَى
3.
Illa tathkiratan liman yakhsha
This is a reminder for every such person who fears
(Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala).
تَنزِيلًا
مِّمَّنْ
خَلَقَ
الْأَرْضَ
وَالسَّمَاوَاتِ
الْعُلَى
4. Tanzeelan
mimman khalaqa alarda waalssamawati alAAula
It has been revealed from HIM (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) WHO has created the
earth and the high skies.
الرَّحْمَنُ
عَلَى
الْعَرْشِ
اسْتَوَى
5.
Alrrahmanu
AAala alAAarshi istawa
The Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) is prominent (Istawâ) on the Throne of
Kingdom (of the universe).
لَهُ مَا
فِي
السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَمَا فِي
الْأَرْضِ
وَمَا
بَيْنَهُمَا
وَمَا تَحْتَ
الثَّرَى
6.
Lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee
alardi wama baynahuma wama tahta alththara
HE is Owner of all those things that are in the skies and on the earth and
which are between the skies and the earth and which are under the earth (soil).
وَإِن
تَجْهَرْ
بِالْقَوْلِ
فَإِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ
السِّرَّ
وَأَخْفَى
7. Wain tajhar bialqawli
fainnahu yaAAlamu alssirra waakhfa
Whether you say your word loud, HE knows the
whispering but even more secret conversation than it (whispering).
اللَّهُ
لَا إِلَهَ
إِلَّا هُوَ
لَهُ الْأَسْمَاء
الْحُسْنَى
8. Allahu la ilaha illa huwa
lahu alasmao alhusna
HE is Allâh there is no deity except HIM (Lâ ilâhla illa Huwa), and the best
(beautiful) names are for HIM.
وَهَلْ
أَتَاكَ
حَدِيثُ
مُوسَى
9.
Wahal ataka
hadeethu moosa
And have you received the news of Mûsa?
إِذْ
رَأَى نَارًا
فَقَالَ
لِأَهْلِهِ
امْكُثُوا
إِنِّي
آنَسْتُ
نَارًا
لَّعَلِّي
آتِيكُم مِّنْهَا
بِقَبَسٍ
أَوْ أَجِدُ
عَلَى النَّارِ
هُدًى
10. Ith raa naran faqala liahlihi omkuthoo innee anastu
naran laAAallee ateekum minha biqabasin aw ajidu AAala alnnari hudan
When he saw fire and said to his family: "Wait for a while, I have seen
fire. I may bring some spark for you, or
I may get some guidance at that fire (about the path)."
فَلَمَّا
أَتَاهَا
نُودِي يَا
مُوسَى
11. Falamma ataha noodiya ya moosa
When (he) reached there, (he) was called: "O Mûsa!
إِنِّي
أَنَا
رَبُّكَ
فَاخْلَعْ
نَعْلَيْكَ
إِنَّكَ
بِالْوَادِ
الْمُقَدَّسِ
طُوًى
12. Innee ana rabbuka faikhlaAA
naAAlayka innaka bialwadi almuqaddasi tuwan
I am your Râbb, take-off your shoes. You
are in the sacred valley, Tuwa.
وَأَنَا
اخْتَرْتُكَ
فَاسْتَمِعْ
لِمَا يُوحَى
13. Waana ikhtartuka faistamiAA lima yooha
And I have chosen you, listen whatever is being revealed.
إِنَّنِي
أَنَا
اللَّهُ لَا
إِلَهَ
إِلَّا أَنَا
فَاعْبُدْنِي
وَأَقِمِ
الصَّلَاةَ
لِذِكْرِي
14. Innanee ana Allahu la ilaha illa ana faoAAbudnee
waaqimi alssalata lithikree
I AM Allâh there is no deity except ME (Lâ ilâha illa Ana), and therefore you
should serve (worship) ME Alone and for MY Remembrance establish prayer
(Salât).
إِنَّ
السَّاعَةَ
ءاَتِيَةٌ
أَكَادُ أُخْفِيهَا
لِتُجْزَى
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ
بِمَا تَسْعَى
15. Inna alssaAAata
atiyatun akadu okhfeeha litujza kullu nafsin bima tasAAa
The Last Hour is surely going to come. I
want to keep its time secret, so that each soul should receive reward according
to his/her efforts.
فَلاَ
يَصُدَّنَّكَ
عَنْهَا مَنْ
لاَ يُؤْمِنُ
بِهَا
وَاتَّبَعَ
هَوَاهُ
فَتَرْدَى
16. Fala yasuddannaka AAanha man la yuminu biha
waittabaAAa hawahu fatarda
Therefore any such person who does not bring Faith on it and has become the
slave of his/her own lust, should not stop you worrying about that moment,
otherwise you will be in destruction--
وَمَا
تِلْكَ
بِيَمِينِكَ
يَا مُوسَى
17. Wama tilka biyameenika ya
moosa
And O Mûsa what is in your hand?"
قَالَ
هِيَ عَصَايَ
أَتَوَكَّأُ
عَلَيْهَا
وَأَهُشُّ
بِهَا عَلَى
غَنَمِي
وَلِيَ فِيهَا
مَآرِبُ
أُخْرَى
18. Qala hiya AAasaya atawakkao
AAalayha waahushshu biha AAala ghanamee waliya feeha maaribu okhra
Mûsa replied: "This is my stick, I lean on it while walking, with it I
sweep leafs for my sheep, and there are many other things which I do with
it."
قَالَ
أَلْقِهَا
يَا مُوسَى
19. Qala alqiha ya moosa
(Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) Said: "Throw it down O Mûsa!"
فَأَلْقَاهَا
فَإِذَا هِيَ
حَيَّةٌ
تَسْعَى
20. Faalqaha faitha hiya
hayyatun tasAAa
He threw it down and all-of-sudden it was a snake that was running.
قَالَ
خُذْهَا
وَلَا تَخَفْ
سَنُعِيدُهَا
سِيرَتَهَا
الْأُولَى
21. Qala khuthha wala takhaf
sanuAAeeduha seerataha aloola
(Allâh) Said: "Catch it and do not be afraid, WE shall return it to its
former state.
وَاضْمُمْ
يَدَكَ إِلَى
جَنَاحِكَ
تَخْرُجْ
بَيْضَاء
مِنْ غَيْرِ
سُوءٍ آيَةً
أُخْرَى
22. Waodmum yadaka ila janahika takhruj baydaa min ghayri
sooin ayatan okhra
And just press your hand under your armpit; it will come out shining without
any pain. This is second sign
لِنُرِيَكَ
مِنْ
آيَاتِنَا
الْكُبْرَى
23. Linuriyaka min ayatina
alkubra
This is because WE are going to show you OUR Greater
Signs.
اذْهَبْ
إِلَى
فِرْعَوْنَ
إِنَّهُ
طَغَى
24. Ithhab ila firAAawna innahu
tagha
Now you should go to Fir'aun, he has become rebellious.” (R) 10
قَالَ
رَبِّ
اشْرَحْ لِي
صَدْرِي
25. Qala rabbi ishrah lee sadree
Mûsa prayed: "O Râbb! Open my
chest,
وَيَسِّرْ
لِي أَمْرِي
26. Wayassir lee amree
And make my job easy for me
وَاحْلُلْ
عُقْدَةً
مِّن
لِّسَانِي
27. Waohlul AAuqdatan min
lisanee
And unfold the knot of my tongue
يَفْقَهُوا
قَوْلِي
28. Yafqahoo qawlee
So that people could understand my words (speech),
وَاجْعَل
لِّي
وَزِيرًا
مِّنْ
أَهْلِي
29. WaijAAal lee wazeeran min
ahlee
And appoint an assistant for me from my own family.
هَارُونَ
أَخِي
30. Haroona akhee
Hârûn, who is my brother.
اشْدُدْ
بِهِ أَزْرِي
31. Oshdud bihi azree
Strengthen me with him
وَأَشْرِكْهُ
فِي أَمْرِي
32. Waashrikhu fee amree
And include him in my task,
كَيْ
نُسَبِّحَكَ
كَثِيرًا
33. Kay nusabbihaka katheeran
So that we praise YOUR Glory more
وَنَذْكُرَكَ
كَثِيرًا
34. Wanathkuraka katheeran
And mention YOU a lot.
إِنَّكَ
كُنتَ بِنَا
بَصِيرًا
35. Innaka kunta bina baseeran
YOU always have been watching over our conditions."
قَالَ
قَدْ
أُوتِيتَ
سُؤْلَكَ يَا
مُوسَى
36. Qala qad ooteeta sulaka ya
moosa
(Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) Said: "You are granted all that what you have asked for O
Mûsa,
وَلَقَدْ
مَنَنَّا
عَلَيْكَ
مَرَّةً أُخْرَى
37. Walaqad mananna AAalayka
marratan okhra
WE once again have favored you.
إِذْ
أَوْحَيْنَا
إِلَى
أُمِّكَ مَا
يُوحَى
38. Ith awhayna ila ommika ma yooha
Recall that time when WE inspired your mother, such inspiration that is done
through revelation
أَنِ
اقْذِفِيهِ
فِي
التَّابُوتِ
فَاقْذِفِيهِ
فِي الْيَمِّ
فَلْيُلْقِهِ
الْيَمُّ
بِالسَّاحِلِ
يَأْخُذْهُ
عَدُوٌّ لِّي
وَعَدُوٌّ
لَّهُ وَأَلْقَيْتُ
عَلَيْكَ
مَحَبَّةً
مِّنِّي
وَلِتُصْنَعَ
عَلَى عَيْنِي
39. Ani iqthifeehi fee
alttabooti faiqthifeehi fee alyammi falyulqihi alyammu bialssahili yakhuthhu
AAaduwwun lee waAAaduwwun lahu waalqaytu AAalayka mahabbatan minnee
walitusnaAAa AAala AAaynee
"Saying: 'Lay this child in a box (Tabût) and put this box into the river
(Nile), the river will throw it on the bank and it will be picked-up by MY and
this child’s enemy.” I prevailed love on
you from MYSELF and made such arrangements that you may be brought-up under MY
supervision.
إِذْ
تَمْشِي
أُخْتُكَ
فَتَقُولُ
هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ
عَلَى مَن
يَكْفُلُهُ
فَرَجَعْنَاكَ
إِلَى
أُمِّكَ كَيْ
تَقَرَّ
عَيْنُهَا وَلَا
تَحْزَنَ
وَقَتَلْتَ
نَفْسًا
فَنَجَّيْنَاكَ
مِنَ
الْغَمِّ
وَفَتَنَّاكَ
فُتُونًا
فَلَبِثْتَ
سِنِينَ فِي
أَهْلِ
مَدْيَنَ
ثُمَّ جِئْتَ
عَلَى قَدَرٍ
يَا مُوسَى
40. Ith tamshee okhtuka
fataqoolu hal adullukum AAala man yakfuluhu farajaAAnaka ila ommika kay taqarra
AAaynuha wala tahzana waqatalta nafsan fanajjaynaka mina alghammi wafatannaka
futoonan falabithta sineena fee ahli madyana thumma jita AAala qadarin ya moosa
Recall when your sister was walking along, then (she) goes and says: 'May I
tell you about the one who can nurse this child well?' This is how WE returned you to your mother so
that her eyes remain in comfort and she should not grieve. And (also recall this that) you had killed a
man, WE saved you from that trap and passed you through different trials and
you stayed with the people of Madyan (Midian) for a number of years. Then now you have come on right time O
Mûsa.
وَاصْطَنَعْتُكَ
لِنَفْسِي
41. WaistanaAAtuka linafsee
I have designed you for MY work (Istana'tuka).
اذْهَبْ
أَنتَ
وَأَخُوكَ
بِآيَاتِي
وَلَا تَنِيَا
فِي ذِكْرِي
42. Ithhab anta waakhooka
biayatee wala taniya fee thikree
Go, you and your brother with MY Signs (Ayât).
And see; you (both) do not oversight MY Remembrance.
اذْهَبَا
إِلَى
فِرْعَوْنَ
إِنَّهُ
طَغَى
43. Ithhaba ila
firAAawna innahu tagha
Go both of you to Fir'aun that he has become rebellious.
فَقُولَا
لَهُ قَوْلًا
لَّيِّنًا
لَّعَلَّهُ
يَتَذَكَّرُ
أَوْ يَخْشَى
44. Faqoola lahu qawlan layyinan
laAAallahu yatathakkaru aw yakhsha
Talk politely with him, he may accept admonition or become scared (from Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)."
قَالَا
رَبَّنَا
إِنَّنَا
نَخَافُ أَن
يَفْرُطَ
عَلَيْنَا
أَوْ أَن
يَطْغَى
45. Qala rabbana innana nakhafu
an yafruta AAalayna aw an yatgha
They both submitted: "O Râbb! We
fear that he will do unjust to us or cross all limits."
قَالَ لَا
تَخَافَا
إِنَّنِي
مَعَكُمَا أَسْمَعُ
وَأَرَى
46. Qala la takhafa innanee
maAAakuma asmaAAu waara
(Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) Said: "Do not fear, I AM with you, hearing everything and
watching.
فَأْتِيَاهُ
فَقُولَا إِنَّا
رَسُولَا
رَبِّكَ
فَأَرْسِلْ
مَعَنَا
بَنِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ
وَلَا
تُعَذِّبْهُمْ
قَدْ
جِئْنَاكَ
بِآيَةٍ مِّن
رَّبِّكَ
وَالسَّلَامُ
عَلَى مَنِ اتَّبَعَ
الْهُدَى
47. Fatiyahu faqoola inna
rasoola rabbika faarsil maAAana banee israeela wala tuAAaththibhum qad jinaka
biayatin min rabbika waalssalamu AAala mani ittabaAAa alhuda
Go to him, say that we are the Messengers of your Râbb, let the Children of
Israel go with us, and do not torture them.
We have come to you with signs from your Râbb and peace is for the one
who follows the path of righteousness (guidance).
إِنَّا
قَدْ أُوحِيَ
إِلَيْنَا
أَنَّ الْعَذَابَ
عَلَى مَن
كَذَّبَ
وَتَوَلَّى
48. Inna qad oohiya ilayna anna
alAAathaba AAala man kaththaba watawalla
We have been told by revelation that there is torment,
for the one who denies and turns away."
قَالَ
فَمَن
رَّبُّكُمَا
يَا مُوسَى
49. Qala faman rabbukuma ya
moosa
Fir'aun said: "Well, then who is the Râbb of you two O Mûsa?"
قَالَ
رَبُّنَا
الَّذِي
أَعْطَى
كُلَّ شَيْءٍ
خَلْقَهُ ثُمَّ
هَدَى
50. Qala rabbuna allathee aAAta
kulla shayin khalqahu thumma hada
Mûsa responded: "Our Râbb is the One WHO has given everything its form, then guided it properly."
قَالَ
فَمَا بَالُ
الْقُرُونِ
الْأُولَى
51. Qala fama balu alqurooni
aloola
Fir'aun asked: "And what was the status of those generations that had
passed away before”?
قَالَ
عِلْمُهَا
عِندَ رَبِّي
فِي كِتَابٍ لَّا
يَضِلُّ
رَبِّي وَلَا
يَنسَى
52. Qala AAilmuha AAinda rabbee
fee kitabin la yadillu rabbee wala yansa
Mûsa replied: "The knowledge of it is with my Râbb -- saved as
record. My Râbb neither be mistaken nor
forgets." --
الَّذِي
جَعَلَ
لَكُمُ
الْأَرْضَ
مَهْدًا وَسَلَكَ
لَكُمْ
فِيهَا
سُبُلًا
وَأَنزَلَ
مِنَ
السَّمَاء
مَاء
فَأَخْرَجْنَا
بِهِ
أَزْوَاجًا
مِّن
نَّبَاتٍ
شَتَّى
53. Allathee jaAAala lakumu
alarda mahdan wasalaka lakum feeha subulan waanzala mina alssamai maan
faakhrajna bihi azwajan min nabatin shatta
HE WHO has spread the floor of earth for you, and made paths in it for you to
walk, and sent down water (rain) from the above (sky), then with it produced
various kinds of vegetation.
كُلُوا
وَارْعَوْا
أَنْعَامَكُمْ
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَاتٍ
لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى
54. Kuloo wairAAaw anAAamakum
inna fee thalika laayatin liolee alnnuha
Eat and also pasture your cattle.
Certainly there are many signs in it for those who have common
sense. (R) 11
مِنْهَا
خَلَقْنَاكُمْ
وَفِيهَا
نُعِيدُكُمْ
وَمِنْهَا
نُخْرِجُكُمْ
تَارَةً
أُخْرَى
55. Minha khalaqnakum wafeeha
nuAAeedukum waminha nukhrijukum taratan okhra
WE have created you from this earth; WE shall return you into it and from it
will bring you out again.
وَلَقَدْ
أَرَيْنَاهُ
آيَاتِنَا كُلَّهَا
فَكَذَّبَ
وَأَبَى
56. Walaqad araynahu ayatina
kullaha fakaththaba waaba
WE showed all OUR Signs to Fir'aun but he kept denying and did not believe.
قَالَ
أَجِئْتَنَا
لِتُخْرِجَنَا
مِنْ أَرْضِنَا
بِسِحْرِكَ
يَا مُوسَى
57. Qala ajitana litukhrijana
min ardina bisihrika ya moosa
(Fir'aun) Began to say: “O Mûsa, have you come to us so that you can expel us
from our land with the power of your magic?
فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّكَ
بِسِحْرٍ
مِّثْلِهِ فَاجْعَلْ
بَيْنَنَا
وَبَيْنَكَ
مَوْعِدًا
لَّا
نُخْلِفُهُ
نَحْنُ وَلَا
أَنتَ مَكَانًا
سُوًى
58. Falanatiyannaka bisihrin
mithlihi faijAAal baynana wabaynaka mawAAidan la nukhlifuhu nahnu wala anta
makanan suwan
Well, we are going to bring the same magic against you. Decide when and where (you) want to
compete. Neither you nor we should
turn-away from this promise. Come at
wide open place.”
قَالَ
مَوْعِدُكُمْ
يَوْمُ
الزِّينَةِ
وَأَن
يُحْشَرَ
النَّاسُ
ضُحًى
59. Qala mawAAidukum yawmu
alzzeenati waan yuhshara alnnasu duhan
Mûsa responded: "The day of festival has been decided, and the people
should assemble as the sun rises”.
فَتَوَلَّى
فِرْعَوْنُ
فَجَمَعَ
كَيْدَهُ
ثُمَّ أَتَى
60. Fatawalla firAAawnu
fajamaAAa kaydahu thumma ata
Fir'aun returned and collected all his equipment and came back in
competition.
قَالَ
لَهُم
مُّوسَى
وَيْلَكُمْ
لَا تَفْتَرُوا
عَلَى
اللَّهِ
كَذِبًا
فَيُسْحِتَكُمْ
بِعَذَابٍ
وَقَدْ خَابَ
مَنِ
افْتَرَى
61. Qala lahum moosa waylakum la
taftaroo AAala Allahi kathiban fayushitakum biAAathabin waqad khaba mani iftara
Mûsa (addressed the opponents at a right time) said: "O miserable people,
do not fabricate lies against Allâh, otherwise HE will ruin you by a severe
torment. Whosoever fabricates lie --
he/she is unsuccessful."
فَتَنَازَعُوا
أَمْرَهُم
بَيْنَهُمْ
وَأَسَرُّوا
النَّجْوَى
62. FatanazaAAoo amrahum
baynahum waasarroo alnnajwa
Hearing this -- difference of opinion arose among them and they secretly start
consulting each other.
قَالُوا
إِنْ هَذَانِ
لَسَاحِرَانِ
يُرِيدَانِ
أَن
يُخْرِجَاكُم
مِّنْ
أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِمَا
وَيَذْهَبَا بِطَرِيقَتِكُمُ
الْمُثْلَى
63. Qaloo in hathani lasahirani yureedani
an yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihima wayathhaba bitareeqatikumu almuthla
Finally some people said: "They both are just magicians. Their objective is to drive you out from your
land with the power of their magic and end your exemplary life style.
فَأَجْمِعُوا
كَيْدَكُمْ
ثُمَّ
ائْتُوا صَفًّا
وَقَدْ
أَفْلَحَ
الْيَوْمَ
مَنِ اسْتَعْلَى
64. FaajmiAAoo kaydakum thumma
itoo saffan waqad aflaha alyawma mani istaAAla
Today assemble all your plans (devices) and with alliance come into the competition. Therefore understand that whoever overcomes
today will succeed."
قَالُوا
يَا مُوسَى
إِمَّا أَن
تُلْقِيَ وَإِمَّا
أَن نَّكُونَ
أَوَّلَ مَنْ
أَلْقَى
65. Qaloo ya moosa imma an tulqiya waimma an nakoona awwala man alqa
The magicians said: "O Mûsa, Are you going to throw or shall we throw
first?"
قَالَ
بَلْ
أَلْقُوا
فَإِذَا
حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ
يُخَيَّلُ
إِلَيْهِ مِن
سِحْرِهِمْ
أَنَّهَا
تَسْعَى
66. Qala bal
alqoo faitha hibaluhum waAAisiyyuhum yukhayyalu ilayhi min sihrihim annaha
tasAAa
Mûsa responded: "No, you throw
(first)." Suddenly it appeared to
Mûsa that their ropes and their sticks are moving around by the power of their
magic trick,
فَأَوْجَسَ
فِي نَفْسِهِ
خِيفَةً
مُّوسَى
67. Faawjasa fee nafsihi
kheefatan moosa
And Mûsa became scared in his heart.
قُلْنَا
لَا تَخَفْ
إِنَّكَ
أَنتَ
الْأَعْلَى
68. Qulna la takhaf innaka anta
alaAAla
WE (Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) said: "Do not fear, you will be the victorious.
وَأَلْقِ
مَا فِي
يَمِينِكَ
تَلْقَفْ مَا
صَنَعُوا
إِنَّمَا
صَنَعُوا
كَيْدُ
سَاحِرٍ
وَلَا
يُفْلِحُ
السَّاحِرُ
حَيْثُ أَتَى
69. Waalqi ma fee yameenika
talqaf ma sanaAAoo innama sanaAAoo kaydu sahirin wala yuflihu alssahiru haythu
ata
Throw that which is in your hand, right now -- it will swallow all their
falsehoods. Whatever they have
fabricated is only a magician's trick and the magicians can never succeed, no
matter how skillful he/she may be."
فَأُلْقِيَ
السَّحَرَةُ
سُجَّدًا
قَالُوا
آمَنَّا
بِرَبِّ
هَارُونَ
وَمُوسَى
70. Faolqiya alssaharatu
sujjadan qaloo amanna birabbi haroona wamoosa
Eventually this happened that all the magicians were
made to fall down in prostration and they cried out: "We believed in the
Râbb of Hârûn and Mûsa."
قَالَ
آمَنتُمْ
لَهُ قَبْلَ
أَنْ آذَنَ
لَكُمْ إِنَّهُ
لَكَبِيرُكُمُ
الَّذِي
عَلَّمَكُمُ
السِّحْرَ
فَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّ
أَيْدِيَكُمْ
وَأَرْجُلَكُم
مِّنْ
خِلَافٍ
وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ
فِي جُذُوعِ
النَّخْلِ
وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ
أَيُّنَا
أَشَدُّ
عَذَابًا وَأَبْقَى
71. Qala amantum lahu qabla an
athana lakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu alssihra
falaoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafin walaosallibannakum fee
juthooAAi alnnakhli walataAAlamunna ayyuna ashaddu AAathaban waabqa
Fir'aun said: "Have you brought Faith in him before I gave you
permission? It is confirmed that he is
your chief who taught you magic. Well,
now I will have your hands and feet cut-off from opposite sides and will hang
(crucify) you on the trunks of date-palm trees.
Then you will come to know among us whose punishment is severe and long
lasting."
قَالُوا
لَن
نُّؤْثِرَكَ
عَلَى مَا
جَاءنَا مِنَ
الْبَيِّنَاتِ
وَالَّذِي
فَطَرَنَا
فَاقْضِ مَا
أَنتَ قَاضٍ إِنَّمَا
تَقْضِي
هَذِهِ
الْحَيَاةَ
الدُّنْيَا
72. Qaloo lan nuthiraka AAala ma
jaana mina albayyinati waallathee fatarana faiqdi ma anta qadin innama taqdee
hathihi alhayata alddunya
The magicians replied: "By the name of HIM, WHO has created us, it can
never happen that after seeing all the clear signs still we prefer you (on
truth). Therefore, do whatever you want
to do. At the most, you can only decide
about this life of the world.
إِنَّا
آمَنَّا
بِرَبِّنَا
لِيَغْفِرَ
لَنَا
خَطَايَانَا
وَمَا
أَكْرَهْتَنَا
عَلَيْهِ
مِنَ
السِّحْرِ
وَاللَّهُ
خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى
73. Inna amanna birabbina
liyaghfira lana khatayana wama akrahtana AAalayhi mina alssihri waAllahu
khayrun waabqa
We have brought Faith in our Râbb, so that HE may forgive us our mistakes and
from this magic, to which you forced us.
“Allâh is the best and HE is
immortal.” --
إِنَّهُ
مَن يَأْتِ
رَبَّهُ
مُجْرِمًا
فَإِنَّ لَهُ
جَهَنَّمَ
لَا يَمُوتُ
فِيهَا وَلَا
يَحْيى
74. Innahu man yati rabbahu
mujriman fainna lahu jahannama la yamootu feeha wala yahya
The fact is that whoever will come to his/her Râbb as a criminal (Mujrimûn),
there is Hell-fire for him/her where he/she will neither live nor die.
وَمَنْ
يَأْتِهِ
مُؤْمِنًا
قَدْ عَمِلَ
الصَّالِحَاتِ
فَأُوْلَئِكَ
لَهُمُ
الدَّرَجَاتُ
الْعُلَى
75. Waman yatihi muminan qad
AAamila alssalihati faolaika lahumu alddarajatu alAAula
And whoever will come to HIM (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) as a believer, who
has done righteous deeds, there are high ranks for all such people,
جَنَّاتُ
عَدْنٍ
تَجْرِي مِن
تَحْتِهَا
الْأَنْهَارُ
خَالِدِينَ
فِيهَا
وَذَلِكَ
جَزَاء مَن
تَزَكَّى
76. Jannatu AAadnin tajree min
tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wathalika jazao man tazakka
There are everlasting gardens ('Adn, Eden), underneath which canals will be flowing;
they will live in it forever. This is
the reward for such (pious) person -- who adopts the purity. (R) 12
وَلَقَدْ
أَوْحَيْنَا
إِلَى مُوسَى
أَنْ أَسْرِ
بِعِبَادِي
فَاضْرِبْ
لَهُمْ طَرِيقًا
فِي
الْبَحْرِ
يَبَسًا لَّا تَخَافُ
دَرَكًا
وَلَا
تَخْشَى
77. Walaqad awhayna ila moosa an
asri biAAibadee faidrib lahum tareeqan fee albahri yabasan la takhafu darakan
wala takhsha
WE sent revelation to Mûsa: "Now take out MY servants (Ibâdi) during the
night, and made a dry path for them through the sea, you should not have any
fear of being followed and nor be afraid (while passing through the
sea)."
فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ
فِرْعَوْنُ
بِجُنُودِهِ فَغَشِيَهُم
مِّنَ
الْيَمِّ مَا
غَشِيَهُمْ
78. FaatbaAAahum firAAawnu
bijunoodihi faghashiyahum mina alyammi ma ghashiyahum
Pursuing them Fir'aun reached with his army, and then
the sea overcastted them, as it should overcast.
وَأَضَلَّ
فِرْعَوْنُ
قَوْمَهُ
وَمَا هَدَى
79. Waadalla firAAawnu qawmahu
wama hada
Fir'aun had misled his people, and did not guide them correctly.
يَا
بَنِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ
قَدْ
أَنجَيْنَاكُم
مِّنْ
عَدُوِّكُمْ
وَوَاعَدْنَاكُمْ
جَانِبَ
الطُّورِ
الْأَيْمَنَ
وَنَزَّلْنَا
عَلَيْكُمُ
الْمَنَّ
وَالسَّلْوَى
80. Ya banee israeela qad
anjaynakum min AAaduwwikum wawaAAadnakum janiba alttoori alaymana wanazzalna
AAalaykumu almanna waalssalwa
O Children of Israel, WE delivered you from your enemy, and set time for your
meeting on the right side of the Tur (mount) and sent down to you sweet dish
and quails (manna and saliva)--
كُلُوا
مِن
طَيِّبَاتِ
مَا
رَزَقْنَاكُمْ
وَلَا
تَطْغَوْا
فِيهِ
فَيَحِلَّ
عَلَيْكُمْ
غَضَبِي
وَمَن
يَحْلِلْ
عَلَيْهِ غَضَبِي
فَقَدْ هَوَى
81. Kuloo min tayyibati ma
razaqnakum wala tatghaw feehi fayahilla AAalaykum ghadabee waman yahlil
AAalayhi ghadabee faqad hawa
Eat of the pure provisions (Taiyibât) WE have given you and do not rebel after
eating it, otherwise MY Calamity will come to you. And the one on whom MY Calamity come he/she
is bound to fall.
وَإِنِّي
لَغَفَّارٌ
لِّمَن تَابَ
وَآمَنَ
وَعَمِلَ
صَالِحًا
ثُمَّ اهْتَدَى
82. Wainnee laghaffarun liman
taba waamana waAAamila salihan thumma ihtada
Except the one who repents and brings Faith and does
righteous deeds, then keeps following the Straight Path for him/her I AM very
forgiving.
وَمَا
أَعْجَلَكَ
عَن قَوْمِكَ
يَا مُوسَى
83. Wama aAAjalaka AAan qawmika
ya moosa
And O Mûsa what brought you ahead of your people?"
قَالَ
هُمْ أُولَاء
عَلَى
أَثَرِي
وَعَجِلْتُ
إِلَيْكَ
رَبِّ
لِتَرْضَى
84. Qala hum olai AAala atharee
waAAajiltu ilayka rabbi litarda
He said: "They are just coming behind me.
I have hastened to come to YOU, O my Râbb, so that YOU may be pleased
with me."
قَالَ
فَإِنَّا
قَدْ
فَتَنَّا
قَوْمَكَ مِن
بَعْدِكَ
وَأَضَلَّهُمُ
السَّامِرِيُّ
85. Qala fainna qad fatanna
qawmaka min baAAdika waadallahumu alssamiriyyu
(Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) Said: "Well, then listen, WE put your people in test after
you -- and Samiri (name of a magician) has misled them”.
فَرَجَعَ
مُوسَى إِلَى
قَوْمِهِ
غَضْبَانَ
أَسِفًا قَالَ
يَا قَوْمِ
أَلَمْ
يَعِدْكُمْ
رَبُّكُمْ
وَعْدًا
حَسَنًا أَفَطَالَ
عَلَيْكُمُ
الْعَهْدُ
أَمْ أَرَدتُّمْ
أَن يَحِلَّ
عَلَيْكُمْ
غَضَبٌ مِّن
رَّبِّكُمْ
فَأَخْلَفْتُم
مَّوْعِدِي
86. FarajaAAa moosa ila qawmihi
ghadbana asifan qala ya qawmi alam yaAAidkum rabbukum waAAdan hasanan afatala
AAalaykumu alAAahdu am aradtum an yahilla AAalaykum ghadabun min rabbikum
faakhlaftum mawAAidee
Mûsa returned to his people in state of an anger and sorrow. Reaching there, he said: "O people of my
nation, did your Râbb not make good promises with you? Did then the promise seem to you long in
coming? Or did you desire to bring the
wrath of your Râbb on you that you broke your promise with me?"
قَالُوا
مَا
أَخْلَفْنَا
مَوْعِدَكَ
بِمَلْكِنَا
وَلَكِنَّا
حُمِّلْنَا
أَوْزَارًا
مِّن زِينَةِ
الْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَاهَا
فَكَذَلِكَ أَلْقَى
السَّامِرِيُّ
87. Qaloo ma akhlafna mawAAidaka
bimalkina walakinna hummilna awzaran min zeenati alqawmi faqathafnaha
fakathalika alqa alssamiriyyu
They replied: "We have not intentionally broken the promise with you, the
fact is that we were loaded with the burdened of ornaments of the people and,
we threw those down.” -- then the same way Samiri
(the magician) also put some in it
فَأَخْرَجَ
لَهُمْ
عِجْلًا
جَسَدًا لَهُ
خُوَارٌ
فَقَالُوا
هَذَا
إِلَهُكُمْ
وَإِلَهُ مُوسَى
فَنَسِيَ
88. Faakhraja lahum AAijlan
jasadan lahu khuwarun faqaloo hatha ilahukum wailahu moosa fanasiya
And made a statue of a calf for them, which produces the sound of ox/bull. The people cried-out: "This is your deity (ilâh) and the deity
of Mûsa and Mûsa has forgotten it”.
أَفَلَا
يَرَوْنَ
أَلَّا
يَرْجِعُ
إِلَيْهِمْ
قَوْلًا
وَلَا
يَمْلِكُ
لَهُمْ ضَرًّا
وَلَا
نَفْعًا
89. Afala yarawna alla yarjiAAu
ilayhim qawlan wala yamliku lahum darran wala nafAAan
Did they not see that neither it respond to their prayer and nor it has any
power to harm or benefit them? (R)

وَلَقَدْ
قَالَ لَهُمْ
هَارُونُ مِن
قَبْلُ يَا
قَوْمِ
إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم
بِهِ وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكُمُ
الرَّحْمَنُ
فَاتَّبِعُونِي
وَأَطِيعُوا
أَمْرِي
90. Walaqad qala lahum haroonu
min qablu ya qawmi innama futintum bihi wainna rabbakumu alrrahmanu
faittabiAAoonee waateeAAoo amree
(Before Mûsa came) Hârûn had already said to them: "O people, you have
embraced the mischief because of it, your Râbb is the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala),
so you follow me and take my word."
قَالُوا
لَن
نَّبْرَحَ
عَلَيْهِ
عَاكِفِينَ
حَتَّى
يَرْجِعَ
إِلَيْنَا
مُوسَى
91. Qaloo lan
nabraha AAalayhi AAakifeena hatta yarjiAAa ilayna moosa
But they said to him: "We will keep worshipping it (the calf) until Mûsa
returns to us”.
قَالَ يَا
هَارُونُ مَا
مَنَعَكَ
إِذْ رَأَيْتَهُمْ
ضَلُّوا
92. Qala ya haroonu ma manaAAaka
ith raaytahum dalloo
Mûsa (after scolding the nation, turned to Hârûn and) said: "O Hârûn, when
you had seen them going astray then what had stopped you
أَلَّا
تَتَّبِعَنِ
أَفَعَصَيْتَ
أَمْرِي
93. Alla tattabiAAani
afaAAasayta amree
That not to follow my way? Did you
disobey my order?"
قَالَ
يَا ابْنَ
أُمَّ لَا
تَأْخُذْ
بِلِحْيَتِي
وَلَا
بِرَأْسِي
إِنِّي
خَشِيتُ أَن تَقُولَ
فَرَّقْتَ
بَيْنَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
وَلَمْ
تَرْقُبْ
قَوْلِي
94. Qala yabnaomma la takhuth
bilihyatee wala birasee innee khasheetu an taqoola farraqta bayna banee
israeela walam tarqub qawlee
Hârûn replied: "O son of my mother!
Do not hold my beard, nor pull hair of my head, I had fear of this thing
that you will say on your return, that you caused a division among the Children
of Israel and did not respect my word."
قَالَ
فَمَا
خَطْبُكَ يَا
سَامِرِيُّ
95. Qala fama khatbuka ya
samiriyyu
Mûsa said: "And Samiri, what about you (what you want to say about this
matter)"?
قَالَ
بَصُرْتُ
بِمَا لَمْ
يَبْصُرُوا
بِهِ
فَقَبَضْتُ
قَبْضَةً
مِّنْ أَثَرِ
الرَّسُولِ
فَنَبَذْتُهَا
وَكَذَلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ
لِي نَفْسِي
96. Qala basurtu bima lam
yabsuroo bihi faqabadtu qabdatan min athari alrrasooli fanabathtuha wakathalika
sawwalat lee nafsee
He (Samiri) replied: "I saw that thing what these people did not see, so I
took a handful of dust from the footprint of the Rasool (Angel Jibrael) and
threw it (on the casting of calf). My
inner-self gave me this understanding."
قَالَ
فَاذْهَبْ
فَإِنَّ لَكَ
فِي الْحَيَاةِ
أَن تَقُولَ
لَا مِسَاسَ
وَإِنَّ لَكَ
مَوْعِدًا
لَّنْ
تُخْلَفَهُ
وَانظُرْ إِلَى
إِلَهِكَ
الَّذِي
ظَلْتَ
عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًا
لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُ
ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُ
فِي الْيَمِّ
نَسْفًا
97. Qala faithhab fainna laka
fee alhayati an taqoola la misasa wainna laka mawAAidan lan tukhlafahu waonthur
ila ilahika allathee thalta AAalayhi AAakifan lanuharriqannahu thumma
lanansifannahu fee alyammi nasfan
Mûsa said: "Well then go away, now you have to keep saying all your life,
"Do not touch me.” And there is
fixed term for your accountability which will never vanish from you. And
see your deity (ilâh) for which you had been so devoted, now we will burn it
and after breaking it into pieces will disseminate in the river."
إِنَّمَا
إِلَهُكُمُ
اللَّهُ
الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ
إِلَّا هُوَ
وَسِعَ كُلَّ
شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا
98. Innama ilahukumu Allahu
allathee la ilaha illa huwa wasiAAa kulla shayin AAilman
O people, your deity (Ilâh) is only One Allâh except HIM there is no other
deity (Lâ ilâha illa Huwa), HIS knowledge is
prevailing on everything.”
كَذَلِكَ
نَقُصُّ
عَلَيْكَ
مِنْ أَنبَاء
مَا قَدْ
سَبَقَ
وَقَدْ
آتَيْنَاكَ
مِن لَّدُنَّا
ذِكْرًا
99. Kathalika naqussu AAalayka
min anbai ma qad sabaqa waqad ataynaka min ladunna thikran
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam), this is how WE tell you the news of the past events, and WE
have given you a “Ziker” (an advice, remembrance) especially from OURSELF.
مَنْ
أَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ
فَإِنَّهُ
يَحْمِلُ
يَوْمَ
الْقِيَامَةِ
وِزْرًا
100. Man aAArada AAanhu fainnahu
yahmilu yawma alqiyamati wizran
Whoever will turn away from it he/she will bear a heavy burden of sin on the
Day of Judgment,
خَالِدِينَ
فِيهِ وَسَاء
لَهُمْ يَوْمَ
الْقِيَامَةِ
حِمْلًا
101. Khalideena feehi wasaa lahum
yawma alqiyamati himlan
And all such people will be seized in it forever, and
on the Day of Judgment, it will be very painful burden (of the responsibility
of the sin) for them.
يَوْمَ
يُنفَخُ فِي
الصُّورِ
وَنَحْشُرُ
الْمُجْرِمِينَ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
زُرْقًا
102. Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori
wanahshuru almujrimeena yawmaithin zurqan
On that Day when the Trumpet will be blown and WE
shall gather the criminals (Mujrimûn) in this condition that their eyes will be
faintrd (with fear, Zurqa),
يَتَخَافَتُونَ
بَيْنَهُمْ
إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ
إِلَّا
عَشْرًا
103. Yatakhafatoona baynahum in
labithtum illa AAashran
They will whisper to each other: "You hardly have
spent ten days in the world" --
نَحْنُ
أَعْلَمُ
بِمَا
يَقُولُونَ
إِذْ يَقُولُ
أَمْثَلُهُمْ
طَرِيقَةً
إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ
إِلَّا
يَوْمًا
104. Nahnu aAAlamu bima
yaqooloona ith yaqoolu amthaluhum tareeqatan in labithtum illa yawman
WE know very well what they will be talking about. (WE also know this that) At that moment the one who is most careful
estimator among them will say that no, your worldly life was only for one day ---- (R) 14
وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ
عَنِ
الْجِبَالِ
فَقُلْ يَنسِفُهَا
رَبِّي
نَسْفًا
105. Wayasaloonaka AAani aljibali
faqul yansifuha rabbee nasfan
These people ask you (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) that where these mountains will go on that day? Say that my Râbb will blow them away by
converting into smoke/fumes
فَيَذَرُهَا
قَاعًا
صَفْصَفًا
106. Fayatharuha qaAAan safsafan
And will turn the earth into smooth plain
لَا تَرَى
فِيهَا
عِوَجًا
وَلَا
أَمْتًا
107. La tara feeha AAiwajan wala amtan
That you will not see any wrinkle or curve in it. --
يَوْمَئِذٍ
يَتَّبِعُونَ
الدَّاعِيَ
لَا عِوَجَ
لَهُ
وَخَشَعَت
الْأَصْوَاتُ
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
فَلَا
تَسْمَعُ
إِلَّا
هَمْسًا
108. Yawmaithin yattabiAAoona
alddaAAiya la AAiwaja lahu wakhashaAAati alaswatu lilrrahmani fala tasmaAAu illa
hamsan
On that Day all the people will come straight to the call of proclamation, none
will show any arrogance. And all the
voices will be humbled before the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala); you will hear
nothing except the rustling (hissing noise).
يَوْمَئِذٍ
لَّا تَنفَعُ
الشَّفَاعَةُ
إِلَّا مَنْ
أَذِنَ لَهُ
الرَّحْمَنُ
وَرَضِيَ
لَهُ قَوْلًا
109. Yawmaithin la tanfaAAu
alshshafaAAatu illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waradiya lahu qawlan
That day no intercession shall avail -- except that
the one to whom the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana
wa ta’aala) has given permission and like to hear his word --
يَعْلَمُ
مَا بَيْنَ
أَيْدِيهِمْ
وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ
وَلَا
يُحِيطُونَ
بِهِ عِلْمًا
110. YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim
wama khalfahum wala yuheetoona bihi AAilman
HE knows all the past and the future of the people, and others do not have
complete knowledge of it --
وَعَنَتِ
الْوُجُوهُ
لِلْحَيِّ
الْقَيُّومِ
وَقَدْ خَابَ
مَنْ حَمَلَ
ظُلْمًا
111. WaAAanati alwujoohu lilhayyi
alqayyoomi waqad khaba man hamala thulman
The people’s head will bend (humbled) before the Eternal (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala). The unfortunates will be the ones who will be
carrying the burden of sins at that time.
وَمَن
يَعْمَلْ
مِنَ
الصَّالِحَاتِ
وَهُوَ
مُؤْمِنٌ
فَلَا
يَخَافُ
ظُلْمًا
وَلَا هَضْمًا
112. Waman yaAAmal mina
alssalihati wahuwa muminun fala yakhafu thulman wala hadman
And there will be no fear of unjust or cruelty for the
one who does righteous deeds and as well as he/she should be a believer.
وَكَذَلِكَ
أَنزَلْنَاهُ
قُرْآنًا
عَرَبِيًّا
وَصَرَّفْنَا
فِيهِ مِنَ
الْوَعِيدِ
لَعَلَّهُمْ
يَتَّقُونَ
أَوْ
يُحْدِثُ لَهُمْ
ذِكْرًا
113. Wakathalika anzalnahu quranan
AAarabiyyan wasarrafna feehi mina alwaAAeedi laAAallahum yattaqoona aw yuhdithu
lahum thikran
And O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam), the same way WE have revealed this Al-Qur'ân in Arabic
and have given all-kinds of warnings in it perhaps these people may be saved
from stubbornness or some signs of wisdom may come in them because of it.
فَتَعَالَى
اللَّهُ
الْمَلِكُ
الْحَقُّ وَلَا
تَعْجَلْ
بِالْقُرْآنِ
مِن قَبْلِ أَن
يُقْضَى
إِلَيْكَ
وَحْيُهُ
وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِي
عِلْمًا
114. FataAAala Allahu
almaliku alhaqqu wala taAAjal bialqurani min qabli an yuqda ilayka wahyuhu
waqul rabbi zidnee AAilman
Therefore Exalted and Elevated is Allâh the True King. And see (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), do not hasten to recite Al-Qur'ân until its revelation is complete for you and pray
that O Râbb give me more knowledge.
وَلَقَدْ
عَهِدْنَا
إِلَى آدَمَ
مِن قَبْلُ
فَنَسِيَ
وَلَمْ
نَجِدْ لَهُ
عَزْمًا
115. Walaqad AAahidna ila adama min
qablu fanasiya walam najid lahu AAazman
Before this, WE had given one command to Adam, but he forgot and WE did not
find steadfastness in him. (R) 15
وَإِذْ
قُلْنَا
لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ
اسْجُدُوا
لِآدَمَ
فَسَجَدُوا
إِلَّا
إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى
116. Waith qulna lilmalaikati
osjudoo liadama fasajadoo illa ibleesa aba
Recall that time when WE had said to the angels that bow down in prostration
before Adam. They all went into
prostration, but it was only Iblîs (Satan) who refused.
فَقُلْنَا
يَا آدَمُ إِنَّ
هَذَا
عَدُوٌّ
لَّكَ
وَلِزَوْجِكَ
فَلَا
يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا
مِنَ
الْجَنَّةِ
فَتَشْقَى
117. Faqulna ya adamu inna hatha
AAaduwwun laka walizawjika fala yukhrijannakuma mina aljannati fatashqa
On this (at that moment) WE said to Adam, Look, he is your and your wife’s
enemy, it should not be that he get you expelled from the Paradise and you get
into trouble.
إِنَّ
لَكَ أَلَّا
تَجُوعَ
فِيهَا وَلَا
تَعْرَى
118. Inna laka alla tajooAAa
feeha wala taAAra
Here you have all these facilities that you neither
feel hungry nor stay naked.
وَأَنَّكَ
لَا تَظْمَأُ
فِيهَا وَلَا
تَضْحَى
119. Waannaka la tathmao feeha
wala tadha
Neither thirst nor (sun’s) heat disturbs you.”
فَوَسْوَسَ
إِلَيْهِ
الشَّيْطَانُ
قَالَ يَا
آدَمُ هَلْ
أَدُلُّكَ
عَلَى
شَجَرَةِ
الْخُلْدِ
وَمُلْكٍ
لَّا يَبْلَى
120. Fawaswasa ilayhi
alshshaytanu qala ya adamu hal adulluka AAala shajarati alkhuldi wamulkin la
yabla
But Shaitân fascinated him saying, "O Adam, Should I tell you (about) that
tree which gives eternal life and boundless kingdom"?
فَأَكَلَا
مِنْهَا
فَبَدَتْ
لَهُمَا سَوْآتُهُمَا
وَطَفِقَا
يَخْصِفَانِ
عَلَيْهِمَا
مِن وَرَقِ
الْجَنَّةِ
وَعَصَى آدَمُ
رَبَّهُ
فَغَوَى
121. Faakala minha fabadat lahuma
sawatuhuma watafiqa yakhsifani AAalayhima min waraqi aljannati waAAasa adamu
rabbahu faghawa
Eventually they both (Adam and Eve) ate the fruit of that tree. Consequently, their private parts immediately
appeared to each other and they both began to cover themselves with the leaves
of the Paradise. Adam disobeyed his Râbb and went astray from
the straight (right) path.
ثُمَّ
اجْتَبَاهُ
رَبُّهُ
فَتَابَ
عَلَيْهِ
وَهَدَى
122. Thumma ijtabahu rabbuhu
fataba AAalayhi wahada
Then his Râbb chose him and accepted his repentance
and gave him guidance
قَالَ
اهْبِطَا
مِنْهَا
جَمِيعًا
بَعْضُكُمْ
لِبَعْضٍ
عَدُوٌّ
فَإِمَّا
يَأْتِيَنَّكُم
مِّنِّي
هُدًى فَمَنِ
اتَّبَعَ
هُدَايَ فَلَا
يَضِلُّ
وَلَا
يَشْقَى
123. Qala ihbita minha jameeAAan
baAAdukum libaAAdin AAaduwwun faimma yatiyannakum minnee hudan famani ittabaAAa
hudaya fala yadillu wala yashqa
And (Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) said: "You both (parties, Satan and human) get down from here
(Paradise). You will remain enemies to each other. Now if any guidance reaches you from ME then
whoever will follow MY Guidance will neither go astray nor fall into
misfortune.
وَمَنْ
أَعْرَضَ عَن
ذِكْرِي
فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً
ضَنكًا
وَنَحْشُرُهُ
يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
أَعْمَى
124. Waman aAArada AAan thikree
fainna lahu maAAeeshatan dankan wanahshuruhu yawma alqiyamati aAAman
And whoever will turn away from MY “Ziker” (Advice, Guidance) there will be
hard life for him/her in the world and WE shall raise him/her blind on the Day
of Resurrection" --
قَالَ
رَبِّ لِمَ
حَشَرْتَنِي
أَعْمَى وَقَدْ
كُنتُ بَصِيرًا
125. Qala rabbi lima hashartanee aAAma waqad
kuntu baseeran
He/she will say, "O Râbb, I was with sight in the world, here why raised
me blind?"
قَالَ
كَذَلِكَ
أَتَتْكَ
آيَاتُنَا
فَنَسِيتَهَا
وَكَذَلِكَ
الْيَوْمَ
تُنسَى
126. Qala kathalika atatka
ayatuna fanaseetaha wakathalika alyawma tunsa
Allâh will say, "Yes, the way you had forgotten OUR Revelation (Ayât) when
it came to you. Today the same way you
are being forgotten” --
وَكَذَلِكَ
نَجْزِي مَنْ
أَسْرَفَ
وَلَمْ يُؤْمِن
بِآيَاتِ
رَبِّهِ
وَلَعَذَابُ
الْآخِرَةِ
أَشَدُّ
وَأَبْقَى
127. Wakathalika najzee man
asrafa walam yumin biayati rabbihi walaAAathabu alakhirati ashaddu waabqa
This is how WE reward (in the world) to those who
violate the limits and do not accept the Revelation (Ayât) of their Râbb, and
the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more lasting.
أَفَلَمْ
يَهْدِ
لَهُمْ كَمْ
أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم
مِّنَ
الْقُرُونِ
يَمْشُونَ فِي
مَسَاكِنِهِمْ
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي
النُّهَى
128. Afalam yahdi lahum kam
ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna fee thalika
laayatin liolee alnnuha
Then have these people not received any guidance (from this lesson of history)
that how many generations WE have destroyed before them in whose (destroyed)
towns they move around today? In fact,
there are many signs in it for those people who have common-sense. (R) 16
وَلَوْلَا
كَلِمَةٌ
سَبَقَتْ مِن
رَّبِّكَ
لَكَانَ
لِزَامًا
وَأَجَلٌ
مُسَمًّى
129. Walawla kalimatun sabaqat
min rabbika lakana lizaman waajalun musamman
If your Râbb had not already decided one thing and a
term for respite had not been determined then judgment about them would have
been surely passed.
فَاصْبِرْ
عَلَى مَا
يَقُولُونَ
وَسَبِّحْ
بِحَمْدِ
رَبِّكَ
قَبْلَ
طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ
وَقَبْلَ
غُرُوبِهَا
وَمِنْ آنَاء
اللَّيْلِ
فَسَبِّحْ
وَأَطْرَافَ
النَّهَارِ
لَعَلَّكَ
تَرْضَى
130. Faisbir AAala ma
yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla ghuroobiha
wamin anai allayli fasabbih waatrafa alnnahari laAAallaka tarda
Therefore, O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) be patient with that what they say, and glorify your
Râbb with HIS praise before the sunrises and before it (sun) sets, and praise
HIM during the nighttime and also at the (both) ends of the day (timings for
the five compulsory prayers), perhaps you may be pleased.
وَلَا
تَمُدَّنَّ
عَيْنَيْكَ
إِلَى مَا مَتَّعْنَا
بِهِ
أَزْوَاجًا
مِّنْهُمْ
زَهْرَةَ
الْحَيَاةِ
الدُّنيَا لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ
فِيهِ وَرِزْقُ
رَبِّكَ
خَيْرٌ
وَأَبْقَى
131. Wala tamuddanna
AAaynayka ila ma mattaAAna bihi azwajan minhum zahrata alhayati alddunya
linaftinahum feehi warizqu rabbika khayrun waabqa
And
even do not try to see the splendor of this worldly life, which WE have given
to various kinds of people among them.
WE have given it to them just to put them to a trial and the lawful
provisions given by your Râbb are lot better and more lasting.
وَأْمُرْ
أَهْلَكَ
بِالصَّلَاةِ
وَاصْطَبِرْ
عَلَيْهَا
لَا
نَسْأَلُكَ
رِزْقًا
نَّحْنُ
نَرْزُقُكَ
وَالْعَاقِبَةُ
لِلتَّقْوَى
132. Wamur ahlaka
bialssalati waistabir AAalayha la nasaluka rizqan nahnu narzuquka waalAAaqibatu
lilttaqwa
Urge your family toward prayer (Salât) and you yourself should be punctual to
it. WE do not want any provisions from
you. WE are giving you the
provisions. And the good end is for the
piety.
وَقَالُوا
لَوْلَا
يَأْتِينَا
بِآيَةٍ مِّن
رَّبِّهِ
أَوَلَمْ
تَأْتِهِم
بَيِّنَةُ
مَا فِي
الصُّحُفِ
الْأُولَى
133. Waqaloo lawla
yateena biayatin min rabbihi awa lam tatihim bayyinatu ma fee alssuhufi aloola
They say, "Why
does this person not bring any sign (miracle) from his Râbb?" And has not a clear sign come to them from
all the teachings of the former Scriptures?
وَلَوْ
أَنَّا
أَهْلَكْنَاهُم
بِعَذَابٍ مِّن
قَبْلِهِ
لَقَالُوا
رَبَّنَا
لَوْلَا
أَرْسَلْتَ
إِلَيْنَا
رَسُولًا
فَنَتَّبِعَ
آيَاتِكَ مِن
قَبْلِ أَن
نَّذِلَّ
وَنَخْزَى
134. Walaw anna
ahlaknahum biAAathabin min qablihi laqaloo rabbana lawla arsalta ilayna
rasoolan fanattabiAAa ayatika min qabli an nathilla wanakhza
If WE had destroyed them with some misery before its coming then the same
people would have said: "Our Râbb, why did YOU not send a Rasool towards
us so that we should have followed YOUR Revelation (Ayât) before being
humiliated and disgraced."
قُلْ
كُلٌّ
مُّتَرَبِّصٌ
فَتَرَبَّصُوا
فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ
مَنْ
أَصْحَابُ
الصِّرَاطِ
السَّوِيِّ
وَمَنِ
اهْتَدَى
135. Qul kullun
mutarabbisun fatarabbasoo fasataAAlamoona man ashabu alssirati alssawiyyi
wamani ihtada
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam), tell them, "Each one is waiting for the end result,
therefore now just wait, soon you will come to know that who are following the
Straight (right) Path and who are the guided ones. (R) 17
