بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

حم

1.                Hâ­Mîm
(Hameem -- these are prefixes, muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala, knows the meanings).

تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ

2.                Tanzeelu alkitabi mina Allahi alAAazeezi alhakeemi
The revelation of this Book (Al-Qur'ân) is from Allâh the Omnipotent and All Wise.

مَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَمَّا أُنذِرُوا مُعْرِضُونَ

3.                Ma khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi waajalin musamman waallatheena kafaroo AAamma onthiroo muAAridoona
WE have created the earth and the skies and all that (which) is between them with truth, and for an appointed period. But these infidels (Kafir) have turned away from that truth of which they have been warned.

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ اِئْتُونِي بِكِتَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِ هَذَا أَوْ أَثَارَةٍ مِّنْ عِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

4.               Qul araaytum ma tadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina alardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawati eetoonee bikitabin min qabli hatha aw atharatin min AAilmin in kuntum sadiqeena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) ask them: "Have you ever seen with open eyes that what are these deities whom you invoke except Allâh? Just show me what have they created in the earth? Or have they anyshare in planning and creation of the skies? If you are truthful then bring any Book revealed before this or any evidence of knowledge (in support of your claims)."

وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن يَدْعُو مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَن لَّا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ إِلَى يَومِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُمْ عَن دُعَائِهِمْ غَافِلُونَ

5.               Waman adallu mimman yadAAoo min dooni Allahi man la yastajeebu lahu ila yawmi alqiyamati wahum AAan duAAaihim ghafiloona
After all who else will be more astray than the one who rejects Allâh and calls those who cannot answer his/her call till the Day of Judgment, even they are unaware of it that they are being invoked,

وَإِذَا حُشِرَ النَّاسُ كَانُوا لَهُمْ أَعْدَاء وَكَانُوا بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ

6.               Waitha hushira alnnasu kanoo lahum aAAdaan wakanoo biAAibadatihim kafireena
And when entire mankind will be gathered together at that time, they will become the enemies of their callers and the denier of their worship.

وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ هَذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ

7.               Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena kafaroo lilhaqqi lamma jaahum hatha sihrun mubeenun
When OUR Clear Verses are recited to these people and truth comes before them then these infidels (Kafir) say about it that it is a clear magic.

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ قُلْ إِنِ افْتَرَيْتُهُ فَلَا تَمْلِكُونَ لِي مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ كَفَى بِهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

8.                Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul ini iftaraytuhu fala tamlikoona lee mina Allahi shayan huwa aAAlamu bima tufeedoona feehi kafa bihi shaheedan baynee wabaynakum wahuwa alghafooru alrraheemu
Do they want to say that Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) has fabricated it himself? Tell them: "If I have fabricated it myself then you will not be able to save me from the punishment of Allâh whatever you say Allâh knows it very well, HE is Sufficient to testify between me and you, and HE is Oft-Forgiving and Merciful."

قُلْ مَا كُنتُ بِدْعًا مِّنْ الرُّسُلِ وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُفْعَلُ بِي وَلَا بِكُمْ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

9.                Qul ma kuntu bidAAan mina alrrusuli wama adree ma yufAAalu bee wala bikum in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya wama ana illa natheerun mubeenun
Tell them: "I am not an odd Rasool, I do not know what is going to happen with you tomorrow and with me, I only follow that Revelation which is being sent to me and I am no more than a plain warner."

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِن كَانَ مِنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ وَكَفَرْتُم بِهِ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِدٌ مِّن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى مِثْلِهِ فَآمَنَ وَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ

10.            Qul araaytum in kana min AAindi Allahi wakafartum bihi washahida shahidun min banee israeela AAala mithlihi faamana waistakbartum inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) ask them: "Have you ever ponder that if this word (Al-Qur'ân) would be from Allâh and you denied it (then what will be your end)? And a witness from among the Children of Israel ('Abdullâh bin Salâm) has already testified for the word like it. He brought Faith (embraced Islâm) and you are in your arrogance. Allâh does not guide such cruel (Zâlimûn)”. (R) 1

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَوْ كَانَ خَيْرًا مَّا سَبَقُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَإِذْ لَمْ يَهْتَدُوا بِهِ فَسَيَقُولُونَ هَذَا إِفْكٌ قَدِيمٌ

11.            Waqala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo law kana khayran ma sabaqoona ilayhi waith lam yahtadoo bihi fasayaqooloona hatha ifkun qadeemun
Those people who have denied to accept -- they say about those who brought Faith: "If it had been a good thing to embrace this Book then these people would not have preceded us in this matter". Because they have not received any guidance from it so now they will surely say; "This is an old lie”.

وَمِن قَبْلِهِ كِتَابُ مُوسَى إِمَامًا وَرَحْمَةً وَهَذَا كِتَابٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّسَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّيُنذِرَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَبُشْرَى لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ

12.            Wamin qablihi kitabu moosa imaman warahmatan wahatha kitabun musaddiqun lisanan AAarabiyyan liyunthira allatheena thalamoo wabushra lilmuhsineena
Whereas before this the Book of Mûsa has come as a guide and mercy, and this Book is in confirmation of that (Book which) has come in Arabic language so that it should warn the wrongdoers and give good news to those who have adopted the path of righteousness (Muhsinûn).

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

13.            Inna allatheena qaloo rabbuna Allahu thumma istaqamoo fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona
Certainly, those people who said: "Allâh Alone is our Râbb, then remained firm (Istaqâmû) on it, they shall neither have any fear nor shall they grieve.

أُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا جَزَاء بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

14.             Olaika ashabu aljannati khalideena feeha jazaan bima kanoo yaAAmaloona
Such people are going to go to the Paradise where they will live forever; because of their those deeds which they have been doing in the world.

وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ إِحْسَانًا حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ كُرْهًا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًا وَحَمْلُهُ وَفِصَالُهُ ثَلَاثُونَ شَهْرًا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

15.             Wawassayna alinsana biwalidayhi ihsanan hamalathu ommuhu kurhan wawadaAAathu kurhan wahamluhu wafisaluhu thalathoona shahran hatta itha balagha ashuddahu wabalagha arbaAAeena sanatan qala rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waaslih lee fee thurriyyatee innee tubtu ilayka wainnee mina almuslimeena
WE enjoined mankind to treat his/her parents with kindness. His/her mother kept him/her in the belly with hardship and with hardship gave him/her birth, and it took thirty (30) months from the conception to his/her weaning. Till when he attained full strength and became forty years old then he said: "O my Râbb, grant me the ability that I may be grateful for YOUR those Favors which YOU have done to me and to my parents, and that I may do such righteous deed with which YOU be pleased, and make my children pious to comfort me, I repent before YOU and I am one of the obedient servants (Muslims)."    

أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنْهُمْ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا وَنَتَجاوَزُ عَن سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ فِي أَصْحَابِ الْجَنَّةِ وَعْدَ الصِّدْقِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ

16.             Olaika allatheena nataqabbalu AAanhum ahsana ma AAamiloo wanatajawazu AAan sayyiatihim fee ashabi aljannati waAAda alssidqi allathee kanoo yooAAadoona
From these types of people, WE accept the best of their deeds and ignore their bad deeds. They shall be among the people of Paradise according to that true promise, which have been promised to them.

وَالَّذِي قَالَ لِوَالِدَيْهِ أُفٍّ لَّكُمَا أَتَعِدَانِنِي أَنْ أُخْرَجَ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ الْقُرُونُ مِن قَبْلِي وَهُمَا يَسْتَغِيثَانِ اللَّهَ وَيْلَكَ آمِنْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَيَقُولُ مَا هَذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

17.             Waallathee qala liwalidayhi offin lakuma ataAAidaninee an okhraja waqad khalati alquroonu min qablee wahuma yastagheethani Allaha waylaka amin inna waAAda Allahi haqqun fayaqoolu ma hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena
And the person who says to his/her parents: "Uff (fie upon you both), you have bothered (me), do you scare me that I shall be raised from the grave after death? Whereas many generations have been passed away before me (no one among them has come after rising)?" Both mother and father cry for the help of Allâh and say: "O unfortunate, embrace it, the Promise of Allâh is true”. But he says: "All these are nothing but the tales of the ancient."

أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِي أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا خَاسِرِينَ

18.             Olaika allatheena haqqa AAalayhimu alqawlu fee umamin qad khalat min qablihim mina aljinni waalinsi innahum kanoo khasireena
These are the people against whom the word of torment is justified. They will also join the groups of jinns and mankind that have passed away before them. No doubt, these are the losers.

وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

19.             Walikullin darajatun mimma AAamiloo waliyuwaffiyahum aAAmalahum wahum la yuthlamoona
Each of the two groups will have the ranks according to their deeds so that Allâh may recompense them in full for their deeds. No unjust will be done to them at all.

وَيَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَلَى النَّارِ أَذْهَبْتُمْ طَيِّبَاتِكُمْ فِي حَيَاتِكُمُ الدُّنْيَا وَاسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهَا فَالْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْسُقُونَ

20.             Wayawma yuAAradu allatheena kafaroo AAala alnnari athhabtum tayyibatikum fee hayatikumu alddunya waistamtaAAtum biha faalyawma tujzawna AAathaba alhooni bima kuntum tastakbiroona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi wabima kuntum tafsuqoona
And when these infidels (Kafir) will be brought in front of the fire then it will be said to them: "You have consumed your share of good things in the worldly life and you have enjoyed with them, now the arrogance you have been showing in the land without any truth and the disobedience you committed in consequence of it today you will be given the humiliated torment. (R) 2

وَاذْكُرْ أَخَا عَادٍ إِذْ أَنذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالْأَحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ النُّذُرُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

21.             Waothkur akha AAadin ith anthara qawmahu bialahqafi waqad khalati alnnuthuru min bayni yadayhi wamin khalfihi alla taAAbudoo illa Allaha innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
Just narrate to them the story of 'Ad’s brother (Hûd) when he had warned his nation in Ahqâf (the curved sand-hills in the southern part of Arabian Peninsula)--and such warners had passed away before him and have been coming after him--(saying) that: "Do not worship any one except Allâh I fear for you of a dreadful torment of a mighty Day."

قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

22.             Qaloo ajitana litafikana AAan alihatina fatina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeena
They said: "Have you come to seduce and turn us away from our deities (Ilâhan)? Well then bring your that torment with which you scare us if you are really truthful".

قَالَ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَأُبَلِّغُكُم مَّا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ وَلَكِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُونَ

23.             Qala innama alAAilmu AAinda Allahi waoballighukum ma orsiltu bihi walakinnee arakum qawman tajhaloona
He said: "Its knowledge is with Allâh Alone, I am just delivering that message to you with which I have been sent. But I am seeing that you people are showing foolishness."

فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضًا مُّسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَذَا عَارِضٌ مُّمْطِرُنَا بَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُم بِهِ رِيحٌ فِيهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

24.             Falamma raawhu AAaridan mustaqbila awdiyatihim qaloo hatha AAaridun mumtiruna bal huwa ma istaAAjaltum bihi reehun feeha AAathabun aleemun
And when they saw the torment coming towards their valleys then they said, "This is a cloud it will saturate us (bring us rain)"-- Absolutely not, but it is the same thing (torment) for which you were hustling. It is a storm of wind in which a painful torment is coming,

تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا لَا يُرَى إِلَّا مَسَاكِنُهُمْ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ

25.             Tudammiru kulla shayin biamri rabbiha faasbahoo la yura illa masakinuhum kathalika najzee alqawma almujrimeena
By the command of its Râbb it will destroy everything”. Consequently, their condition was such that except their living places nothing could be seen there. This is how WE recompense the criminals (Mujrimûn).

وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِيمَا إِن مَّكَّنَّاكُمْ فِيهِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَمْعًا وَأَبْصَارًا وَأَفْئِدَةً فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُهُمْ وَلَا أَفْئِدَتُهُم مِّن شَيْءٍ إِذْ كَانُوا يَجْحَدُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون

26.             Walaqad makkannahum feema in makkannakum feehi wajaAAalna lahum samAAan waabsaran waafidatan fama aghna AAanhum samAAuhum wala absaruhum wala afidatuhum min shayin ith kanoo yajhadoona biayati Allahi wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona
WE had given them that which (WE) have not given you. WE had given them everything, ears, eyes and heart, but neither those ears benefit them nor eyes or heart, because they used to deny the Revelation (Ayât) of Allâh and they were completely encircled by the same thing at which they used to mock. (R) 3

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا مَا حَوْلَكُم مِّنَ الْقُرَى وَصَرَّفْنَا الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

27.             Walaqad ahlakna ma hawlakum mina alqura wasarrafna alayati laAAallahum yarjiAAoona
WE have destroyed many towns in your surroundings. WE made them to understand in various ways by sending OUR Revelation repeatedly perhaps they may stop.

فَلَوْلَا نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ قُرْبَانًا آلِهَةً بَلْ ضَلُّوا عَنْهُمْ وَذَلِكَ إِفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ

28.             Falawla nasarahumu allatheena ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi qurbanan alihatan bal dalloo AAanhum wathalika ifkuhum wama kanoo yaftaroona
Then why did not those personalities help them whom they had taken as their deities (Ilâhan) considering an approach to Allâh except Allâh? But they were lost from them, and this was the result of their lies and false faith, which they had fabricated.

وَإِذْ صَرَفْنَا إِلَيْكَ نَفَرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوا أَنصِتُوا فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ وَلَّوْا إِلَى قَوْمِهِم مُّنذِرِينَ

29.             Waith sarafna ilayka nafaran mina aljinni yastamiAAoona alqurana falamma hadaroohu qaloo ansitoo falamma qudiya wallaw ila qawmihim munthireena
(And that event is also worth mentioning) When WE had brought a group (Nafran) of Jinns towards you (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) so that they should listen Al-Qur'ân. When they reached the place (where you, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, were reciting Al-Qur'ân) then they said to one another: "Be quiet". And when the recitation was complete then they returned to their nation as warners.

قَالُوا يَا قَوْمَنَا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا كِتَابًا أُنزِلَ مِن بَعْدِ مُوسَى مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْحَقِّ وَإِلَى طَرِيقٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

30.             Qaloo ya qawmana inna samiAAna kitaban onzila min baAAdi moosa musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi yahdee ila alhaqqi waila tareeqin mustaqeemin
After returning (to their nation) they said: "O people of our nation, we have listened to a Book that has been Revealed after Mûsa, it endorses those Books which came before it and guides toward the truth and Straight Path.

يَا قَوْمَنَا أَجِيبُوا دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ وَآمِنُوا بِهِ يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُجِرْكُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ

31.             Ya qawmana ajeeboo daAAiya Allahi waaminoo bihi yaghfir lakum min thunoobikum wayujirkum min AAathabin aleemin
O people of our nation, embrace the invitation of the one who is inviting towards Allâh and bring Faith in him, Allâh will forgive you your sins and will save you from painful torment”.

وَمَن لَّا يُجِبْ دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ فَلَيْسَ بِمُعْجِزٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مِن دُونِهِ أَولِيَاء أُوْلَئِكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ

32.             Waman la yujib daAAiya Allahi falaysa bimuAAjizin fee alardi walaysa lahu min doonihi awliyaa olaika fee dalalin mubeenin
And whosoever does not accept the word of the Prophet of Allâh -- neither, he has any power on the earth that he can make Allâh helpless, nor he has any such helpers/protectors (Auliyâ') who can protect him from Allâh. Such people are in clear error.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَلَمْ يَعْيَ بِخَلْقِهِنَّ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى بَلَى إِنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

33.             Awa lam yaraw anna Allaha allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda walam yaAAya bikhalqihinna biqadirin AAala an yuhyiya almawta bala innahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
And don’t these people see that Allâh WHO created the skies and the earth and did not get tired while creating them, HE is surely able to give life to the dead? Why not, certainly HE is able to do all things (Omnipotent).

وَيَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَلَى النَّارِ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْحَقِّ قَالُوا بَلَى وَرَبِّنَا قَالَ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

34.             Wayawma yuAAradu allatheena kafaroo AAala alnnari alaysa hatha bialhaqqi qaloo bala warabbina qala fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona
The Day when these infidels (Kafir) will be brought before the fire, at that time they will be asked: "Is it not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Râbb (it is the truth)”. Allâh will say, "Well, then now taste the torment in result of your denial which you had been doing".

فَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسْتَعْجِل لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِّن نَّهَارٍ بَلَاغٌ فَهَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

35.             Faisbir kama sabara oloo alAAazmi mina alrrusuli wala tastaAAjil lahum kaannahum yawma yarawna ma yooAAadoona lam yalbathoo illa saAAatan min naharin balaghun fahal yuhlaku illa alqawmu alfasiqoona
Therefore O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), be patient as enterprising Rasools have practice the patience, and do not make haste about them. The Day these people will see that thing with which they are being threatened then it will so appear to them as if they had not stayed in the world more than a moment of a day. The Message has been delivered, now shall anyone else be destroyed except the disobedient people (Al-Fâsiqûn). (R) 4

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

1.                Allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi adalla aAAmalahum
Those people who committed infidelity (Kufr) and desisted from the Path of Allâh, Allâh wasted their deeds.

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَآمَنُوا بِمَا نُزِّلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ كَفَّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَأَصْلَحَ بَالَهُمْ

2.               Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati waamanoo bima nuzzila AAala muhammadin wahuwa alhaqqu min rabbihim kaffara AAanhum sayyiatihim waaslaha balahum
And those people who brought Faith and did righteous deeds and embraced that which has been Revealed to Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)--and it is all truth from their Râbb--Allâh removed their sins from them and corrected their behavior.

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْبَاطِلَ وَأَنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمْثَالَهُمْ

3.               Thalika bianna allatheena kafaroo ittabaAAoo albatila waanna allatheena amanoo ittabaAAoo alhaqqa min rabbihim kathalika yadribu Allahu lilnnasi amthalahum
This is because the infidels (Kafir) followed falsehood and those who brought Faith followed that truth which has come from their Râbb. In this way, Allâh makes the people to realize their true state.

فَإِذا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَضَرْبَ الرِّقَابِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَثْخَنتُمُوهُمْ فَشُدُّوا الْوَثَاقَ فَإِمَّا مَنًّا بَعْدُ وَإِمَّا فِدَاء حَتَّى تَضَعَ الْحَرْبُ أَوْزَارَهَا ذَلِكَ وَلَوْ يَشَاء اللَّهُ لَانتَصَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَلَكِن لِّيَبْلُوَ بَعْضَكُم بِبَعْضٍ وَالَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَن يُضِلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

4.                Faitha laqeetumu allatheena kafaroo fadarba alrriqabi hatta itha athkhantumoohum fashuddoo alwathaqa faimma mannan baAAdu waimma fidaan hatta tadaAAa alharbu awzaraha thalika walaw yashao Allahu laintasara minhum walakin liyabluwa baAAdakum bibaAAdin waallatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi falan yudilla aAAmalahum sayahdeehim wayuslihu balahum
Therefore, when you encounter with these infidels (Kafir) then the first thing is to stab their necks -- until when you completely crushed them then tie the captives strongly after this (you have the discretion) show kindness or take the ransom, until the fight lays down its arms. This is what you need to do. (If) Allâh wanted HE HIMSELF would have dealt with them, but (HE adopted this method) in order to test you by means of one another. And those people who will be killed in the Path of Allâh, Allâh will never waste their deeds.

سَيَهْدِيهِمْ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَهُمْ

5.               Sayahdeehim wayuslihu balahum
HE will guide them, will improve their condition

وَيُدْخِلُهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمْ

6.                Wayudkhiluhumu aljannata AAarrafaha lahum
And will enter them in that Paradise with which HE has familiarized them.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ

7.                Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tansuroo Allaha yansurkum wayuthabbit aqdamakum
O people who have brought Faith, if you will help Allâh then HE will help you and will establish your feet firmly.

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَتَعْسًا لَّهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

8.                Waallatheena kafaroo fataAAsan lahum waadalla aAAmalahum
As for those people who have committed infidelity (Kufr), there is destruction for them and Allâh has made their deeds to go astray.

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَرِهُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

9.                Thalika biannahum karihoo ma anzala Allahu faahbata aAAmalahum
Because they disliked that thing which Allâh has Revealed, therefore Allâh has wasted their deeds.

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ دَمَّرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ أَمْثَالُهَا

10.            Afalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim dammara Allahu AAalayhim walilkafireena amthaluha
Had they not traveled through the land that (they) could see the end of those people who have passed away before them? Allâh turned everything over them, and such ends are destined for these infidels (Kafir).

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَأَنَّ الْكَافِرِينَ لَا مَوْلَى لَهُمْ

11.            Thalika bianna Allaha mawla allatheena amanoo waanna alkafireena la mawla lahum
This is because Allâh is the protector (Maulâ) of those who brought Faith and the infidels (Kafir) do not have any protector. (R) 5

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَتَمَتَّعُونَ وَيَأْكُلُونَ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ الْأَنْعَامُ وَالنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ

12.            Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu waallatheena kafaroo yatamattaAAoona wayakuloona kama takulu alanAAamu waalnnaru mathwan lahum
Those who brought Faith and did righteous deeds Allâh will admit them to those Gardens (Paradise) underneath which canals are flowing, and those who committed infidelity are just enjoying the temporary life of this world, (they) are eating and drinking like animals, and their final abode is Hell-Fire.

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ هِيَ أَشَدُّ قُوَّةً مِّن قَرْيَتِكَ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَتْكَ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ فَلَا نَاصِرَ لَهُمْ

13.            Wakaayyin min qaryatin hiya ashaddu quwwatan min qaryatika allatee akhrajatka ahlaknahum fala nasira lahum
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), how many such towns have been passed away which were stronger than your this town (Makkah) which has expelled you. WE destroyed them in a way that there was no one to protect them.

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءهُمْ

14.             Afaman kana AAala bayyinatin min rabbihi kaman zuyyina lahu sooo AAamalihi waittabaAAoo ahwaahum
Can it ever be -- that he who is on a clear guidance from his Râbb, he becomes like those people whose evil deeds have been made pleasing for them and they have become the followers of their own desires?

مَثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ فِيهَا أَنْهَارٌ مِّن مَّاء غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَالِدٌ فِي النَّارِ وَسُقُوا مَاء حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءهُمْ

15.             Mathalu aljannati allatee wuAAida almuttaqoona feeha anharun min main ghayri asinin waanharun min labanin lam yataghayyar taAAmuhu waanharun min khamrin laththatin lilshsharibeena waanharun min AAasalin musaffan walahum feeha min kulli alththamarati wamaghfiratun min rabbihim kaman huwa khalidun fee alnnari wasuqoo maan hameeman faqattaAAa amAAaahum
The Paradise which has been promised to the pious people (Muttaqûn) its glory is that the canals of pure water will be flowing in it, canals of such milk whose taste will never change -- will be flowing in it, canals of such wine which will be very delicious for the drinkers -- will be flowing, canals of clear and pure honey will be flowing. In it, there would be all kinds of fruits for them and forgiveness from their Râbb. (Can the person who is going to get this Paradise be) Like those people who will live in Hell, forever and they will be made to drink such hot water which will even cut their guts?

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ آنِفًا أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءهُمْ

16.             Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka hatta itha kharajoo min AAindika qaloo lillatheena ootoo alAAilma matha qala anifan olaika allatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAala quloobihim waittabaAAoo ahwaahum
There are some people among them, who carefully listen to you and when they depart from you then they ask from those people who have been blessed with knowledge: "Just now what did he say? These are those people whose hearts Allâh has sealed and they are the followers of their desires.

وَالَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا زَادَهُمْ هُدًى وَآتَاهُمْ تَقْواهُمْ

17.             Waallatheena ihtadaw zadahum hudan waatahum taqwahum
As for those people who have embraced guidance, Allâh gives them more guidance and grants them their share of piety.

فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً فَقَدْ جَاء أَشْرَاطُهَا فَأَنَّى لَهُمْ إِذَا جَاءتْهُمْ ذِكْرَاهُمْ

18.             Fahal yanthuroona illa alssaAAata an tatiyahum baghtatan faqad jaa ashratuha faanna lahum itha jaathum thikrahum
Are they now waiting for the Last Hour to come upon them suddenly? Its signs have come. When it will come itself -- then what chance will they have to accept the advice?

فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنبِكَ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مُتَقَلَّبَكُمْ وَمَثْوَاكُمْ

19.             FaiAAlam annahu la ilaha illa Allahu waistaghfir lithanbika walilmumineena waalmuminati waAllahu yaAAlamu mutaqallabakum wamathwakum
Therefore, O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), note it well that there is no one worthy of worship except Allâh (Lâ ilâha ill-Allâh), and ask forgiveness for your mistakes and as well as for the believing men and women. Allâh knows your activities and is aware of your place of rest. (R) 6

وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَإِذَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُّحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا الْقِتَالُ رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ الْمَغْشِيِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ فَأَوْلَى لَهُمْ

20.             Wayaqoolu allatheena amanoo lawla nuzzilat sooratun faitha onzilat sooratun muhkamatun wathukira feeha alqitalu raayta allatheena fee quloobihim maradun yanthuroona ilayka nathara almaghshiyyi AAalayhi mina almawti faawla lahum
Those people who have brought Faith they were saying: "Why a Sûrah has not been (Chapter of Al-Qur'ân) revealed (with command to fight)? But when a decisive Sûrah has been revealed in which the fighting (Jihâd-fighting for the cause of Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) was mentioned then you saw those in whose hearts was a disease (of hypocrisy) they are looking at you as death has prevailed over someone. Sorrow on their condition.

طَاعَةٌ وَقَوْلٌ مَّعْرُوفٌ فَإِذَا عَزَمَ الْأَمْرُ فَلَوْ صَدَقُوا اللَّهَ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ

21.             TaAAatun waqawlun maAAroofun faitha AAazama alamru falaw sadaqoo Allaha lakana khayran lahum
(On their tongues is) The oath of allegiance and good words. But when the decisive command was given at that time if they would have been truthful in their promises with Allâh then it was better for them.

فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَن تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ

22.             Fahal AAasaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidoo fee alardi watuqattiAAoo arhamakum
Can now anything else is expected from you people that if you turned back then you will again make mischief in the land and will cut throats of one another among yourselves?

أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَأَعْمَى أَبْصَارَهُمْ

23.             Olaika allatheena laAAanahumu Allahu faasammahum waaAAma absarahum
These are the people whom Allâh cursed and made them blind and deaf.

أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَى قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا

24.             Afala yatadabbaroona alqurana am AAala quloobin aqfaluha
Have these people not ponder upon Al-Qur'ân, or the locks are upon their hearts?

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَى الشَّيْطَانُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَى لَهُمْ

25.             Inna allatheena irtaddoo AAala adbarihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhuda alshshaytanu sawwala lahum waamla lahum
The fact is that those people who have turned back from the guidance after it has been manifested to them, Shaitân has made this thing easy for them and has prolonged the term of false hopes for them.

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ

26.             Thalika biannahum qaloo lillatheena karihoo ma nazzala Allahu sanuteeAAukum fee baAAdi alamri waAllahu yaAAlamu israrahum
This is why they said to those who disliked the Deen (Islamic Way of Life) Revealed by Allâh that: "We will obey you in some matters". Allâh knows their secret talks very well.

فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ

27.             Fakayfa itha tawaffathumu almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum
Then what would be (their) condition at that time when the angels would seize their souls and would take them smiting at their faces and backs?

ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اتَّبَعُوا مَا أَسْخَطَ اللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا رِضْوَانَهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

28.             Thalika biannahumu ittabaAAoo ma askhata Allaha wakarihoo ridwanahu faahbata aAAmalahum
This would be because they followed the Path, which is to make Allâh angry and did not like to adopt the Path that Pleases HIM. For this reason HE wasted all the deeds. (R) 7

أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ أَن لَّن يُخْرِجَ اللَّهُ أَضْغَانَهُمْ

29.             Am hasiba allatheena fee quloobihim maradun an lan yukhrija Allahu adghanahum
Do those people in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) think that Allâh will not make known the impurity of their hearts?

وَلَوْ نَشَاء لَأَرَيْنَاكَهُمْ فَلَعَرَفْتَهُم بِسِيمَاهُمْ وَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْ فِي لَحْنِ الْقَوْلِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ أَعْمَالَكُمْ

30.             Walaw nashao laaraynakahum falaAAaraftahum biseemahum walataAArifannahum fee lahni alqawli waAllahu yaAAlamu aAAmalakum
If WE want then (WE) can show them to you and you can recognize them by their faces. But the way they talk to you (you) will surely recognize them. Allâh is well aware of the deeds of all of you.

وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ حَتَّى نَعْلَمَ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ مِنكُمْ وَالصَّابِرِينَ وَنَبْلُوَ أَخْبَارَكُمْ

31.             Walanabluwannakum hatta naAAlama almujahideena minkum waalssabireena wanabluwa akhbarakum
WE shall certainly put you people into test in order to judge your condition and see that who are crusaders and persistent among you.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَشَاقُّوا الرَّسُولَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الهُدَى لَن يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئًا وَسَيُحْبِطُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ

32.             Inna allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi washaqqoo alrrasoola min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhuda lan yaduroo Allaha shayan wasayuhbitu aAAmalahum
Those people who committed infidelity (Kufr) and stopped from the Path of Allâh and disputed with Rasool after the straight path was shown to them, in fact they cannot harm Allâh but Allâh will destroy all that what they have done.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَلَا تُبْطِلُوا أَعْمَالَكُمْ

33.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ateeAAoo Allaha waateeAAoo alrrasoola wala tubtiloo aAAmalakum
O people who have brought Faith, you obey Allâh and obey the Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and do not destroy your deeds.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ

34.             Inna allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi thumma matoo wahum kuffarun falan yaghfira Allahu lahum
Allâh will never forgive those who committed infidelity (Kufr) and stopped from the Path of Allâh and those who firmly stood on infidelity (Kufr) till the time of death.

فَلَا تَهِنُوا وَتَدْعُوا إِلَى السَّلْمِ وَأَنتُمُ الْأَعْلَوْنَ وَاللَّهُ مَعَكُمْ وَلَن يَتِرَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ

35.             Fala tahinoo watadAAoo ila alssalmi waantumu alaAAlawna waAllahu maAAakum walan yatirakum aAAmalakum
Therefore, you should not become weak and do not request for ceasefire (peace). You are going to be the victorious. Allâh is with you and HE will never waste your deeds.

إِنَّمَا الحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَإِن تُؤْمِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا يُؤْتِكُمْ أُجُورَكُمْ وَلَا يَسْأَلْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ

36.             Innama alhayatu alddunya laAAibun walahwun wain tuminoo watattaqoo yutikum ojoorakum wala yasalkum amwalakum
This worldly life is only a play and fun. If you have Faith and keep following the path of piety then Allâh will grant you your rewards and HE will not ask you for your wealth.

إِن يَسْأَلْكُمُوهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُوا وَيُخْرِجْ أَضْغَانَكُمْ

37.             In yasalkumooha fayuhfikum tabkhaloo wayukhrij adghanakum
If ever HE asks of you -- your wealth and demands everything from you then you will act miserly and HE will bring out all your impurities.

هَاأَنتُمْ هَؤُلَاء تُدْعَوْنَ لِتُنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن يَبْخَلُ وَمَن يَبْخَلْ فَإِنَّمَا يَبْخَلُ عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَاللَّهُ الْغَنِيُّ وَأَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاء وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ

38.             Ha antum haolai tudAAawna litunfiqoo fee sabeeli Allahi faminkum man yabkhalu waman yabkhal fainnama yabkhalu AAan nafsihi waAllahu alghaniyyu waantumu alfuqarao wain tatawallaw yastabdil qawman ghayrakum thumma la yakoonoo amthalakum
Look! You people are being invited to spend wealth for the Cause of Allâh. There are some people among you who are acting miserly, whereas whoever is miser -- in fact, he/she is doing it to himself/herself. Allâh is Rich (Free of all needs), you are in need of HIM. If you will turn away then Allâh will bring another nation at your place and they will not be like you. (R) 8

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُّبِينًا

1.                Inna fatahna laka fathan mubeenan
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), WE gave you clear victory

لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا

2.                Liyaghfira laka Allahu ma taqaddama min thanbika wama taakhkhara wayutimma niAAmatahu AAalayka wayahdiyaka siratan mustaqeeman
So that Allâh may forgive your past as well as future mistakes and complete HIS Favor on you and guide you toward the Straight Path

وَيَنصُرَكَ اللَّهُ نَصْرًا عَزِيزًا

3.                Wayansuraka Allahu nasran AAazeezan
And grant you splendid victory.

هُوَ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِيمَانًا مَّعَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا

4.                Huwa allathee anzala alssakeenata fee quloobi almumineena liyazdadoo eemanan maAAa eemanihim walillahi junoodu alssamawati waalardi wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman
HE is the One WHO descended tranquillity (As-Sakinah) into the hearts of the believers so that they may add one more Faith along with their Faith. All the armies of the earth and the skies are in control of Allâh and HE is All-Knower and All Wise.

لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عِندَ اللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا

5.                Liyudkhila almumineena waalmuminati jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wayukaffira AAanhum sayyiatihim wakana thalika AAinda Allahi fawzan AAatheeman
(HE has done this thing) In order to admit forever the believing men and women into such Gardens underneath which canals will be flowing and remove their sins from them--this is the splendid success in the Sight of Allâh.

وَيُعَذِّبَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ وَالْمُشْرِكَاتِ الظَّانِّينَ بِاللَّهِ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ عَلَيْهِمْ دَائِرَةُ السَّوْءِ وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ وَسَاءتْ مَصِيرًا

6.                WayuAAaththiba almunafiqeena waalmunafiqati waalmushrikeena waalmushrikati alththanneena biAllahi thanna alssawi AAalayhim dairatu alssawi waghadiba Allahu AAalayhim walaAAanahum waaAAadda lahum jahannama wasaat maseeran
And to punish those hypocrite (Munâfiqûn) men and women and idolater (Mushrikûn) men and women who have evil thoughts about Allâh. They themselves have been encircled by the evil, anger of Allâh is upon them, and HE cursed them and prepared Hell for them, which is worst living place.

وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا

7.                Walillahi junoodu alssamawati waalardi wakana Allahu AAazeezan hakeeman
The forces of the earth and the skies are in control of Allâh and HE is Omnipotent and All Wise.

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا

8.                Inna arsalnaka shahidan wamubashshiran wanatheeran
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), WE have sent you as a testifier, a bearer of good news and a warner

لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا

9.                Lituminoo biAllahi warasoolihi watuAAazziroohu watuwaqqiroohu watusabbihoohu bukratan waaseelan
So that O people, you bring Faith in Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and accompany him and pay respect and honor to him and keep glorifying Allâh morning and evening.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ اللَّهَ يَدُ اللَّهِ فَوْقَ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَمَن نَّكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا يَنكُثُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ أَوْفَى بِمَا عَاهَدَ عَلَيْهُ اللَّهَ فَسَيُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

10.            Inna allatheena yubayiAAoonaka innama yubayiAAoona Allaha yadu Allahi fawqa aydeehim faman nakatha fainnama yankuthu AAala nafsihi waman awfa bima AAahada AAalayhu Allaha fasayuteehi ajran AAatheeman
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), those people who were giving you their oaths of allegiances (Bai'â) in fact they were giving their oaths of allegiances (Bai'â) to Allâh. The Hand of Allâh was over their hands. Now whosoever will break this oath, the burden of the breach of oath will be upon him, and whosoever will fulfill that promise which he has done with Allâh soon Allâh will give him a great reward. (R) 9

سَيَقُولُ لَكَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَا أَمْوَالُنَا وَأَهْلُونَا فَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًا بَلْ كَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًا

11.            Sayaqoolu laka almukhallafoona mina alaAArabi shaghalatna amwaluna waahloona faistaghfir lana yaqooloona bialsinatihim ma laysa fee quloobihim qul faman yamliku lakum mina Allahi shayan in arada bikum darran aw arada bikum nafAAan bal kana Allahu bima taAAmaloona khabeeran
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), those people who were left behind from among the Bedouins (desert) Arabs now they will surely come and say to you that: "The worry of our possessions and families had occupied us, you should pray for our forgiveness”. These people say those things with their tongues, which are not in their hearts. Tell them: "Well, if it is so then who has any power to intervene on your behalf with Allâh if HE intends to harm you or benefit you? Allâh is Well Aware of your deeds.

بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ الرَّسُولُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَى أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًا وَزُيِّنَ ذَلِكَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا بُورًا

12.            Bal thanantum an lan yanqaliba alrrasoolu waalmuminoona ila ahleehim abadan wazuyyina thalika fee quloobikum wathanantum thanna alssawi wakuntum qawman booran
(But the truth is not that what you are telling) Whereas you thought that the Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the believers could never return to their families and this thought delighted your heart and you had an evil thoughts and you are most dishonest people".

وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَإِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَعِيرًا

13.            Waman lam yumin biAllahi warasoolihi fainna aAAtadna lilkafireena saAAeeran
Those people who do not have Faith in Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), for such infidels (Kafir) WE have prepared blazing Fire.

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاء وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاء وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

14.            Walillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi yaghfiru liman yashao wayuAAaththibu man yashao wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
Allâh Alone is a Sovereign of the Kingdom of skies and earth -- forgives whomsoever HE Pleases and punishes whomsoever HE Wants, and HE is Forgiving and Merciful.

سَيَقُولُ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا انطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَى مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُبَدِّلُوا كَلَامَ اللَّهِ قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَلِكُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

15.            Sayaqoolu almukhallafoona itha intalaqtum ila maghanima litakhuthooha tharoona nattabiAAkum yureedoona an yubaddiloo kalama Allahi qul lan tattabiAAoona kathalikum qala Allahu min qablu fasayaqooloona bal tahsudoonana bal kanoo la yafqahoona illa qaleelan
When you will go to collect the spoils of war then those people who were left behind will surely say to you: “Let us accompany you”. They want to change the Decree of Allâh. Clearly tell them: "You cannot accompany us at all, Allâh has already said so”. They will say: "No, but you people are jealous from us." (Whereas it is not matter of jealously) But these people seldom understand the truth.

قُل لِّلْمُخَلَّفِينَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ سَتُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى قَوْمٍ أُوْلِي بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ تُقَاتِلُونَهُمْ أَوْ يُسْلِمُونَ فَإِن تُطِيعُوا يُؤْتِكُمُ اللَّهُ أَجْرًا حَسَنًا وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا كَمَا تَوَلَّيْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

16.            Qul lilmukhallafeena mina alaAArabi satudAAawna ila qawmin olee basin shadeedin tuqatiloonahum aw yuslimoona fain tuteeAAoo yutikumu Allahu ajran hasanan wain tatawallaw kama tawallaytum min qablu yuAAaththibkum AAathaban aleeman
Tell these Bedouins (desert) Arabs who were left behind, "Soon you will be called to fight against such people who are very mighty. You will have to fight them or they will surrender. At that time, if you obeyed the order to fight (do Jihad) then Allâh will give you good reward, but if you turn-away as you did turn away before then Allâh will give you severe punishment.

لَيْسَ عَلَى الْأَعْمَى حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى الْأَعْرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَلَا عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ حَرَجٌ وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ يُعَذِّبْهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

17.              Laysa AAala alaAAma harajun wala AAala alaAAraji harajun wala AAala almareedi harajun waman yutiAAi Allaha warasoolahu yudkhilhu jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu waman yatawalla yuAAaththibhu AAathaban aleeman
Yes, there is no blame/sin if a blind, and a lame, and a sick person do not come to fight (do Jihad). Whosoever will obey Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Allâh will admit him/her to such Gardens underneath which canals will be flowing, and whosoever will turn back (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) will give him/her severe punishment. (R) 10

لَقَدْ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ يُبَايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَنزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَثَابَهُمْ فَتْحًا قَرِيبًا

18.              Laqad radiya Allahu AAani almumineena ith yubayiAAoonaka tahta alshshajarati faAAalima ma fee quloobihim faanzala alsakeenata AAalayhim waathabahum fathan qareeban
Allâh became pleased with the believers when they were giving you the oath of allegiance (Bai'â) under the tree. HE knew the condition of their hearts this is why HE descended tranquillity (As-Sakinah) on them, in reward gave them immediate victory,

وَمَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةً يَأْخُذُونَهَا وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا

19.             Wamaghanima katheeratan yakhuthoonaha wakana Allahu AAazeezan hakeeman
And granted them many spoils which they will get (very soon). Allâh is Omnipotent and All Wise.

وَعَدَكُمُ اللَّهُ مَغَانِمَ كَثِيرَةً تَأْخُذُونَهَا فَعَجَّلَ لَكُمْ هَذِهِ وَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَ النَّاسِ عَنكُمْ وَلِتَكُونَ آيَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا

20.             WaAAadakumu Allahu maghanima katheeratan takhuthoonaha faAAajjala lakum hathihi wakaffa aydiya alnnasi AAankum walitakoona ayatan lilmumineena wayahdiyakum siratan mustaqeeman
Allâh promises you many spoils that you will get. He has immediately given you this victory, and has held back the hands of people against you, so that it may become a sign for the believers and Allâh grant you guidance towards the Straight Path.

وَأُخْرَى لَمْ تَقْدِرُوا عَلَيْهَا قَدْ أَحَاطَ اللَّهُ بِهَا وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرًا

21.             Waokhra lam taqdiroo AAalayha qad ahata Allahu biha wakana Allahu AAala kulli shayin qadeeran
Beside this, HE also promises you -- many other blessings, on which yet you do not have any control and Allâh has encircled them, Allâh has control over everything.

وَلَوْ قَاتَلَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوَلَّوُا الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا

22.             Walaw qatalakumu allatheena kafaroo lawallawoo aladbara thumma la yajidoona waliyyan wala naseeran
If these infidels (Kafir) had fought against you at this time then surely they would had turned their backs and could not had found any helper or protector (Walî).

سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا

23.             Sunnata Allahi allatee qad khalat min qablu walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan
This is the Way of Allâh which has been coming from the past, and you will not find any discrepancy in the Way of Allâh.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُم بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِن بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرًا

24.             Wahuwa allathee kaffa aydiyahum AAankum waaydiyakum AAanhum bibatni makkata min baAAdi an athfarakum AAalayhim wakana Allahu bima taAAmaloona baseeran
HE is the One WHO had withheld their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Makkah, whereas HE had given you victory over them and Allâh was watching whatever you were doing.

هُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْهَدْيَ مَعْكُوفًا أَن يَبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهُ وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌ مُّؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَاء مُّؤْمِنَاتٌ لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوهُمْ أَن تَطَؤُوهُمْ فَتُصِيبَكُم مِّنْهُم مَّعَرَّةٌ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ لِيُدْخِلَ اللَّهُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ مَن يَشَاء لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا لَعَذَّبْنَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

25.             Humu allatheena kafaroo wasaddookum AAani almasjidi alharami waalhadya maAAkoofan an yablugha mahillahu walawla rijalun muminoona wanisaon muminatun lam taAAlamoohum an tataoohum fatuseebakum minhum maAAarratun bighayri AAilmin liyudkhila Allahu fee rahmatihi man yashao law tazayyaloo laAAaththabna allatheena kafaroo minhum AAathaban aleeman
Those are the people, who committed infidelity (Kufr) and stopped you from the Masjid­-Al-­Harâm (the sacred Masjid of Makkah) and did not allow the camels of offering to reach their place of sacrifice. If such believing men and women had not been present (in the city of Makkah) who you do not know, and the fear that you may unknowingly kill them and you will be blamed for it (then the war would have not been stopped. It was stopped) So that Allâh may bring into HIS Mercy whomever HE Pleases with. Had those believers separated then WE surely would have given severe punishment to those who were infidels (Kafir, among the people of Makkah).

إِذْ جَعَلَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْحَمِيَّةَ حَمِيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَنزَلَ اللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ وَعَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَلْزَمَهُمْ كَلِمَةَ التَّقْوَى وَكَانُوا أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهْلَهَا وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا

26.             Ith jaAAala allatheena kafaroo fee quloobihimu alhamiyyata hamiyyata aljahiliyyati faanzala Allahu sakeenatahu AAala rasoolihi waAAala almumineena waalzamahum kalimata alttaqwa wakanoo ahaqqa biha waahlaha wakana Allahu bikulli shayin AAaleeman
(This is the reason that) When these infidels (Kafir) originated the arrogance of ignorance in their hearts then Allâh descended Calmness (Sakinah) upon HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and the believers and made the believers to stick to the word of piety that they were most deserving and entitled to it. Allâh has the Knowledge of everything. (R) 11

لَقَدْ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ الرُّؤْيَا بِالْحَقِّ لَتَدْخُلُنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ إِن شَاء اللَّهُ آمِنِينَ مُحَلِّقِينَ رُؤُوسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِينَ لَا تَخَافُونَ فَعَلِمَ مَا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوا فَجَعَلَ مِن دُونِ ذَلِكَ فَتْحًا قَرِيبًا

27.             Laqad sadaqa Allahu rasoolahu alrruya bialhaqqi latadkhulunna almasjida alharama in shaa Allahu amineena muhalliqeena ruoosakum wamuqassireena la takhafoona faAAalima ma lam taAAlamoo fajaAAala min dooni thalika fathan qareeban
In fact, Allâh had shown the true dream to HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, saw a dream that he has entered Makkah along with his companions and get heads shaved) which was exactly according to the truth. Insha-Allâh (Allâh Willing –with the leave of Allâh), you will certainly enter the Masjid­-Al­-Harâm in complete peace, you will get your head shaved, and will get your hair trimmed, and you will have no fear at all. HE knew this thing which you did not know; this is why HE gave you this immediate victory before the implementation of that dream.

هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا

28.             Huwa allathee arsala rasoolahu bialhuda wadeeni alhaqqi liyuthhirahu AAala alddeeni kullihi wakafa biAllahi shaheedan
HE is Allâh WHO has sent HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) with Guidance and the True Deen (Islamic Way of Life) so that to make it dominating over all kinds of Deens (ways of life) and the Witness of Allâh is Sufficient for this truth.

مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاء عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاء بَيْنَهُمْ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ذَلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَى عَلَى سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

29.             Muhammadun rasoolu Allahi waallatheena maAAahu ashiddao AAala alkuffari ruhamao baynahum tarahum rukkaAAan sujjadan yabtaghoona fadlan mina Allahi waridwanan seemahum fee wujoohihim min athari alssujoodi thalika mathaluhum fee alttawrati wamathaluhum fee alinjeeli kazarAAin akhraja shatahu faazarahu faistaghlatha faistawa AAala sooqihi yuAAjibu alzzurraAAa liyagheetha bihimu alkuffara waAAada Allahu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati minhum maghfiratan waajran AAatheeman
Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is a Rasool of Allâh and those people who are with him are severe against infidels (Kafir) and are kind among themselves. Whenever you will see them, you will find them busy in bowing (making Rakuh) and falling prostate (being in sajdah in prayer) and seeking the Bounty and Pleasure of Allâh. The marks of prostration (Sajud) are on their faces (foreheads) by which they are distinguished from others. This is their description in Taurât. And in Injeel their example is given as if there is a crop which first brought out its petal then strengthen it, then it becomes thick, then stood on its stem. It pleases the cultivators so that the infidels may enrage with its blooming. The people of that group who have brought Faith and who have done righteous deeds Allâh has promised them forgiveness and great reward. (R) 12

“Al-Hujurât - The Walls/The Private Apartments” – (Madanni – 49^th Surah)

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

1.               Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tuqaddimoo bayna yadayi Allahi warasoolihi waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun
O people, who have brought Faith, do not try to lead Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and fear Allâh, Allâh is All-Hearing and All-Knowing.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ وَلَا تَجْهَرُوا لَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ

2.                Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tarfaAAoo aswatakum fawqa sawti alnnabiyyi wala tajharoo lahu bialqawli kajahri baAAdikum libaAAdin an tahbata aAAmalukum waantum la tashAAuroona
O people, who have brought Faith, do not raise your voice higher than the voice of Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and nor talk in a loud voice with the Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) as you talk with one another among yourselves, it should not be that all your deeds be wasted and you do not know.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَاتَهُمْ عِندَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ امْتَحَنَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَى لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

3.                Inna allatheena yaghuddoona aswatahum AAinda rasooli Allahi olaika allatheena imtahana Allahu quloobahum lilttaqwa lahum maghfiratun waajrun AAatheemun
Those people who lower their voice while talking in the presence of Rasool of Allâh (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) they in fact are the people whose hearts Allâh has tested for piety, there is forgiveness and a great reward for them.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِن وَرَاء الْحُجُرَاتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ

4.                Inna allatheena yunadoonaka min warai alhujurati aktharuhum la yaAAqiloona
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), those people who call you from outside the house, most of them do not have any sense.

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ صَبَرُوا حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِمْ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

5.                Walaw annahum sabaroo hatta takhruja ilayhim lakana khayran lahum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun
If they have waited with patience until you have come out then it had been better for them; Allâh is Oft-Forgiving and Most Loving.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن جَاءكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَأٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَن تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ

6.                Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in jaakum fasiqun binabain fatabayyanoo an tuseeboo qawman bijahalatin fatusbihoo AAala ma faAAaltum nadimeena
O people who have brought Faith, if any evildoer brings any news to you then do verify it, it should not be that you might unintentionally harm any group and later you regret for what you have done.

وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْإِيمَانَ وَزَيَّنَهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكُفْرَ وَالْفُسُوقَ وَالْعِصْيَانَ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُونَ

7.                WaiAAlamoo anna feekum rasoola Allahi law yuteeAAukum fee katheerin mina alamri laAAanittum walakinna Allaha habbaba ilaykumu aleemana wazayyanahu fee quloobikum wakarraha ilaykumu alkufra waalfusooqa waalAAisyana olaika humu alrrashidoona
Note it well, that Rasool of Allâh (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is present among you. If he takes your word in most of the affairs then you yourselves would be in trouble. But Allâh has given you the love of Faith and made it pleasing to your hearts? And made infidelity (Kufr), evildoing, and disobedience hateful to you. Such people are on the Right Path

فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَنِعْمَةً وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

8.               Fadlan mina Allahi waniAAmatan waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun
With the Blessing and Favor of Allâh and Allâh is All Knowing and All Wise.

وَإِن طَائِفَتَانِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اقْتَتَلُوا فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا فَإِن بَغَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَلَى الْأُخْرَى فَقَاتِلُوا الَّتِي تَبْغِي حَتَّى تَفِيءَ إِلَى أَمْرِ اللَّهِ فَإِن فَاءتْ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَهُمَا بِالْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ

9.               Wain taifatani mina almumineena iqtataloo faaslihoo baynahuma fain baghat ihdahuma AAala alokhra faqatiloo allatee tabghee hatta tafeea ila amri Allahi fain faat faaslihoo baynahuma bialAAadli waaqsitoo inna Allaha yuhibbu almuqsiteena
And if two groups among those who have Faith fight with one another then make peace between them. And if one of them transgresses against the other then fight against the one who has transgressed until it returns to the Command of Allâh. And if it returns then make reconciliation between them with justice. And do justice because Allâh likes those who do justice.

إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

10.             Innama almuminoona ikhwatun faaslihoo bayna akhawaykum waittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum turhamoona
The believers are brothers to one another, therefore establish good relations between your brothers and fear Allâh -- it is hopped that mercy will be done to you. (R) 13

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا يَسْخَرْ قَومٌ مِّن قَوْمٍ عَسَى أَن يَكُونُوا خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا نِسَاء مِّن نِّسَاء عَسَى أَن يَكُنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُنَّ وَلَا تَلْمِزُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَلَا تَنَابَزُوا بِالْأَلْقَابِ بِئْسَ الاِسْمُ الْفُسُوقُ بَعْدَ الْإِيمَانِ وَمَن لَّمْ يَتُبْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

11.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la yaskhar qawmun min qawmin AAasa an yakoonoo khayran minhum wala nisaon min nisain AAasa an yakunna khayran minhunna wala talmizoo anfusakum wala tanabazoo bialalqabi bisa alismu alfusooqu baAAda aleemani waman lam yatub faolaika humu alththalimoona
O people who have brought Faith, by no means men make fun of other men, it could be that they may be better than them, and nor women make fun of other women, it could be that they may be better than them. Do not ridicule one another among yourselves and nor call/remember one another with bad names. It is very bad thing to progress in evildoing after bringing Faith. Those people who do not stop from this behavior are the cruel (Zâlimûn).

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ

12.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ijtaniboo katheeran mina alththanni inna baAAda alththanni ithmun wala tajassasoo wala yaghtab baAAdukum baAAdan ayuhibbu ahadukum an yakula lahma akheehi maytan fakarihtumoohu waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha tawwabun raheemun
O people, who have brought Faith, avoid being much doubtful that some doubts are sins. Do not be curious. And anyone from among you would not back-bite others. Is there anyone among you who would like to eat flesh of his dead brother? Look! You yourselves hate it. Fear Allâh, Allâh is the Acceptor of repentance and Most Merciful.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

13.             Ya ayyuha alnnasu inna khalaqnakum min thakarin waontha wajaAAalnakum shuAAooban waqabaila litaAAarafoo inna akramakum AAinda Allahi atqakum inna Allaha AAaleemun khabeerun
O people, WE created you from a male and a female and then made your nations and tribes so that you may recognize one another. In fact, the most honorable among you in the Sight of Allâh is the one who is most pious among you (has At-Taqwâ). Certainly, Allâh is All Knowing and All Aware.

قَالَتِ الْأَعْرَابُ آمَنَّا قُل لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَلَكِن قُولُوا أَسْلَمْنَا وَلَمَّا يَدْخُلِ الْإِيمَانُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَإِن تُطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ لَا يَلِتْكُم مِّنْ أَعْمَالِكُمْ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

14.             Qalati alaAArabu amanna qul lam tuminoo walakin qooloo aslamna walamma yadkhuli aleemanu fee quloobikum wain tuteeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu la yalitkum min aAAmalikum shayan inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
These Bedouins (desert Arabs) say, "We brought Faith”. Tell them "You have not brought Faith, but rather say, “We have surrendered”. Faith has not yet entered into your hearts. If you adopt the obedience of Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then HE will not reduce anything from the reward of your deeds, certainly, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving and Most Merciful.

إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْتَابُوا وَجَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الصَّادِقُونَ

15.             Innama almuminoona allatheena amanoo biAllahi warasoolihi thumma lam yartaboo wajahadoo biamwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi olaika humu alssadiqoona
In fact, those are the believers who brought Faith in Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then they did not engage in any doubt and strive hard and fight (do Jihad) in the Path of Allâh with their wealth and their lives. Those are the truthful people.

قُلْ أَتُعَلِّمُونَ اللَّهَ بِدِينِكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

16.             Qul atuAAallimoona Allaha bideenikum waAllahu yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi waAllahu bikulli shayin AAaleemun
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), ask (from those who claim to have Faith): "Are you informing Allâh about your Deen (Way of Life)? Whereas Allâh knows everything of the skies and the earth and has knowledge of everything.

يَمُنُّونَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْلَمُوا قُل لَّا تَمُنُّوا عَلَيَّ إِسْلَامَكُم بَلِ اللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ هَدَاكُمْ لِلْإِيمَانِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

17.             Yamunnoona AAalayka an aslamoo qul la tamunnoo AAalayya islamakum bali Allahu yamunnu AAalaykum an hadakum lileemani in kuntum sadiqeena
These people consider it as a favor to you that they have accepted Islâm. Tell them: "Do not put the favor of your Islâm on me, whereas Allâh has done a favor upon you that HE has granted you the guidance of Faith if you are really truthful (in the claim of Faith).

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

18.             Inna Allaha yaAAlamu ghayba alssamawati waalardi waAllahu baseerun bima taAAmaloona
Allâh has the knowledge of all the hidden things in the skies and the earth and whatever you do -- all that is in HIS Sight. (R) 14

“Qâf/Q -- Qaf” – (Makki – 50^th Surah)

Total Verses: 45

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ

1.                Qâf waalqurani almajeedi
(Qaf -- these are prefixes, muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala, knows the meanings), by the Glorious Qur'ân--

بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَن جَاءهُمْ مُنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ

2.                Bal AAajiboo an jaahum munthirun minhum faqala alkafiroona hatha shayon AAajeebun
Whereas these people wondered on this thing that a warner (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) has come to them from among themselves. Then the deniers started saying: "This is a strange thing,

أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ

3.                Aitha mitna wakunna turaban thalika rajAAun baAAeedun
What! When we will be dead and become dust (then shall be raised again)? This return is beyond imagination."

قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ الْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ

4.                Qad AAalimna ma tanqusu alardu minhum waAAindana kitabun hafeethun
(Whereas) Whatever earth consumes of their bodies all that is in OUR Knowledge and WE have a Book in which everything is preserved.

بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ

5.                Bal kaththaboo bialhaqqi lamma jaahum fahum fee amrin mareejin
But these people clearly denied the truth when it came to them. This is why they are in confusion.

أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاء فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ

6.               Afalam yanthuroo ila alssamai fawqahum kayfa banaynaha wazayyannaha wama laha min furoojin
Well, have they never looked up above them at the sky? How WE made it and decorated it, and at all there is no defect in it.

وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ

7.                Waalarda madadnaha waalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatna feeha min kulli zawjin baheejin
And WE spread the earth and fixed mountains in it and produced all kinds of beautiful vegetation in it.

تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَى لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ

8.                Tabsiratan wathikra likulli AAabdin muneebin
All these things are eye opening and a reminder for every such person who returns (towards truth).

وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء مُّبَارَكًا فَأَنبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ

9.                Wanazzalna mina alssamai maan mubarakan faanbatna bihi jannatin wahabba alhaseedi
And WE send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then from it produced gardens and harvest grain

وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ

10.             Waalnnakhla basiqatin laha talAAun nadeedun
And lofty date-palm trees, which are laden with clusters of dates, piled one over another.

رِزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ

11.             Rizqan lilAAibadi waahyayna bihi baldatan maytan kathalika alkhurooju
This is an arrangement to provide provisions to the human beings. With this water, WE give life to the dead land. Such will be the resurrection (of the dead people from the earth).

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ

12.             Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waashabu alrrassi wathamoodu
Before them, the nation of Nûh, and the people of the Rass (Al-Rass), and the Thamûd,

وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوطٍ

13.              WaAAadun wafirAAawnu waikhwanu lootin
And 'Ad, and Fir'aun, and the brothers of Lout,

وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ

14.             Waashabu alaykati waqawmu tubbaAAin kullun kaththaba alrrusula fahaqqa waAAeedi
And the people of the Aiykah (wood), and the people of Tubba', have denied. Everyone denied the Rasools and finally MY Warning was pasted on them.

أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ

15.             AfaAAayeena bialkhalqi alawwali bal hum fee labsin min khalqin jadeedin
Were WE helpless with the first creation? But these people are in doubts about a new creation. (R) 15

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ

16.             Walaqad khalaqna alinsana wanaAAlamu ma tuwaswisu bihi nafsuhu wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi min habli alwareedi
WE have created mankind and WE even know the doubts grow in his/her heart. WE are closer to him/her even from his/her neck vein.

إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ

17.             Idh Yatalaqqa Al-Mutalaqqiyani Ani Al-Yamini Wa Ani Ash-Shimali Qaidun
(And beside OUR direct knowledge) Two writers sitting on his/her right and left (shoulders) are recording everything.

مَا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ

18.             Ma yalfithu min qawlin illa ladayhi raqeebun AAateedun
No word comes out from his/her tongue but there is a vigilant watcher present to preserve it.

وَجَاءتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ

19.             Wajaat sakratu almawti bialhaqqi thalika ma kunta minhu taheedu
Then look, the sorrow of death has come with the truth; this is the same thing from which you used to escape.

وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ

20.             Wanufikha fee alssoori thalika yawmu alwaAAeedi
And then the Trumpet were blown; this is the Day of which you were warned.

وَجَاءتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ

21.             Wajaat kullu nafsin maAAaha saiqun washaheedun
Every person came in a state that there is one handler (angel) with him/her and one (angel) to bear witness.

لَقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ

22.             Laqad kunta fee ghaflatin min hatha fakashafna AAanka ghitaaka fabasaruka alyawma hadeedun
You were negligent from this thing, WE removed that curtain which was in front of you and today your sight is very sharp.

وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ

23.             Waqala qareenuhu hatha ma ladayya AAateedun
His/her companion (angel) humbly said, "Here is the one who was in my custody”.

أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ

24.             Alqiya fee jahannama kulla kaffarin AAaneedin
The order was given: "Throw every stubborn infidel (Kafir) into the Hell who used to have animosity with truth.

مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ

25.             MannaAAin lilkhayri muAAtadin mureebin
The obstructer of the good and was the transgressor, was in complete doubt,

الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ

26.             Allathee jaAAala maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara faalqiyahu fee alAAathabi alshshadeedi
And had set-up another deity (ilâh) with Allâh. Throw him/her in the severe torment.

قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ

27.             Qala qareenuhu rabbana ma atghaytuhu walakin kana fee dalalin baAAeedin
His/her companion (Satan) humbly submitted: "O Râbb, I did not make him/her rebellious but he/she himself/herself was in complete error."

قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِالْوَعِيدِ

28.             Qala la takhtasimoo ladayya waqad qaddamtu ilaykum bialwaAAeedi
In response, it will be said: "Don’t dispute in front of ME, I had already warned you about the bad end.

مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ

29.             Ma yubaddalu alqawlu ladayya wama ana bithallamin lilAAabeedi
A word cannot be changed in front of ME and I am not cruel to MY people.” (R) 16

يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ

30.             Yawma naqoolu lijahannama hali imtalati wataqoolu hal min mazeedin
The Day when WE will ask from the Hell: "Are you full?" And it will ask: "Is there any more?"

وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ

31.             Waozlifati aljannatu lilmuttaqeena ghayra baAAeedin
And Paradise will be brought near to the pious people (Muttaqûn); will not be far away.

هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ

32.             Hatha ma tooAAadoona likulli awwabin hafeethin
It will be said: "This is the thing, which was promised to you, (it is) for every such person who was oft-returning (to Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) and was very watchful,

مَنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَن بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاء بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ

33.             Man khashiya alrrahmana bialghaybi wajaa biqalbin muneebin
Who used to fear from unseen Most Loving (Râbb), and who has come with devoted heart.

ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ

34.             Odkhulooha bisalamin thalika yawmu alkhuloodi
Enter into the Paradise in peace.” That Day will be the Day of eternal life.

لَهُم مَّا يَشَاؤُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ

35.             Lahum ma yashaoona feeha waladayna mazeedun
There they will have everything, which they will desire, and WE have more than this with US for them.

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلَادِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ

36.             Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hum ashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fee albiladi hal min maheesin
WE have destroyed many nations before them who were much power-full than them and they had searched thoroughly all the countries of the world. Then could they find any place of refuge?

إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِمَن كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ

37.             Inna fee thalika lathikra liman kana lahu qalbun aw alqa alssamAAa wahuwa shaheedun
In this history, there is an exemplary lesson for every such person who has heart or who listens carefully.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ

38.             Walaqad khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin wama massana min lughoobin
WE created the earth and the skies and everything between them in Six Days and WE did not have any fatigue.

فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ

39.             Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla alghuroobi
Therefore, O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), be patient on those things which these people fabricate, and keep glorifying your Râbb with HIS Praises. Before sunrise and before sunset.

وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ

40.             Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waadbara alssujoodi
And again glory HIM in the nighttime and also after that when (you, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, are) done with the prostration.

وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ

41.             WaistamiAA yawma yunadi almunadi min makanin qareebin
And listen, the Day when the caller will call from a near place (of every person),

يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ

42.             Yawma yasmaAAoona alssayhata bialhaqqi thalika yawmu alkhurooji
The Day when all the people will be hearing the cry precisely (As-Saîhah), that will be the Day of coming out of the dead from the earth (Day of Resurrection).

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ

43.             Inna nahnu nuhyee wanumeetu wailayna almaseeru
WE (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) give life and WE give death, and that Day all have to return to US

يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ

44.             Yawma tashaqqaqu alardu AAanhum siraAAan thalika hashrun AAalayna yaseerun
When the earth will split apart and the people will be running fast by coming out of it. That Resurrection is very easy for US.

نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ

45.             Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloona wama anta AAalayhim bijabbarin fathakkir bialqurani man yakhafu waAAeedi
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), the things these people are fabricating WE know it very well, and your duty is not to forcefully make them to accept. Therefore, you only warn with this Al-Qur'ân -- every such person who fears MY Warning. (R) 17

“Az-Zâriyât/Al-Dhareyat - The Drivers of the Winds ” – (Makki – 51^st Surah)

Total Verses: 60

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا

1.                Waalththariyati tharwan
By, those winds which scatter dust,

فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا

2.                Faalhamilati wiqran
Then (by those which) carry the clouds full of water,

فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا

3.                Faaljariyati yusran
Then move swiftly,

فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا

4.                Faalmuqassimati amran
Then are the distributor of a big task (rain),

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ

5.                Innama tooAAadoona lasadiqun
The truth is that with which you are being warned, that is true

وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ

6.                Wainna alddeena lawaqiAAun
And the retribution of the deeds is inevitable.

وَالسَّمَاء ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ

7.                Waalssamai thati alhubuki
By the sky of miscellaneous shapes (orbits and paths),

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ

8.                Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalifin
Your word is contradicting with each other (about the Hereafter).

يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ

9.                Yufaku AAanhu man ofika
Only that person turns aside from it who has turned away from Truth.

قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ

10.             Qutila alkharrasoona
Ruined are those who judge by supposition,

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ

11.             Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoona
(Those) Who are engrossed in ignorance and dipped in negligence.

يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ

12.             Yasaloona ayyana yawmu alddeeni
They ask: "After all when that Day of Recompense will come?"

يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ

13.             Yawma hum AAala alnnari yuftanoona
It will come on the Day when these people will be burned in the Fire!

ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

14.             Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona
(It will be said to them) “Now taste your mischief, this is the same thing for which you were hastening."

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ

15.             Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
Though on that Day the pious people (Muttaqûn) will be among the Gardens and Water-Springs,

آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ

16.             Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineena
Whatever their Râbb will give them they will be taking it with pleasure. They were righteous (Muhsinûn) before the coming of that Day,

كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ

17.             Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoona
They used to sleep very little in the nights,

وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ

18.             Wabialashari hum yastaghfiroona
Then they used to ask for forgiveness in the late hours of night (before dawn),

وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ

19.             Wafee amwalihim haqqun lilssaili waalmahroomi
And there was a share in their properties for the beggars and the deprived ones (Mahrûm),

وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ

20.             Wafee alardi ayatun lilmooqineena
There are many signs in the earth for those who bring Faith,

وَفِي أَنفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ

21.             Wafee anfusikum afala tubsiroona
And are also in your own-selves. Don’t you understand?

وَفِي السَّمَاء رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ

22.             Wafee alssamai rizqukum wama tooAAadoona
Your provisions and as well as that thing which is being promised to you, are in the sky.

فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ

23.             Fawarabbi alssamai waalardi innahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoona
Therefore, By the Râbb of the sky and the earth, this word is true; as certain (true) as you are talking. (R) 18

هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ

24.             Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), has the truth of the honored guests of Ibrahîm reached you?

إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ

25.             Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona
When they came to him then (they) said, "Salutation (Salâm) is to you". He answered, "Salutation (Salâm) is to you as well” -- (you) are some strange people (you are strangers to me)".

فَرَاغَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَجَاء بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ

26.             Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameenin
Then he quietly went to his household, and brought a (roasted) fresh fatty calf,

فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ

27.             Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloona
And offered it to the guests. He said: "You people are not eating?"

فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ

28.             Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleemin
Then he got scared of them in his heart. They said, "Don’t be afraid”, and gave him good news of a birth of knowledgeable son.

فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ

29.             Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun
Hearing this, his wife came forward crying and she smacked on her face and started saying: "An Old, barren!"

قَالُوا كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ

30.             Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu
They responded, "This is what your Râbb has said and HE is All-Wise and Knows everything".
