بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful

لَن تَنَالُواْ الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنفِقُواْ مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِن شَيْءٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ

92.             Lan tanaloo albirra hatta tunfiqoo mimma tuhibboona wama tunfiqoo min shayin fainna Allaha bihi AAaleemun
You cannot attain piety (Al-Birr) unless you spend your those things (for the Cause of Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) which you love the most, and whatever you will spend Allâh will not be unaware of it.

كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِـلاًّ لِّبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلاَّ مَا حَرَّمَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تُنَزَّلَ التَّوْرَاةُ قُلْ فَأْتُواْ بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

93.             Kullu alttaAAami kana hillan libanee israeela illa ma harrama israeelu AAala nafsihi min qabli an tunazzala alttawratu qul fatoo bialttawrati faotlooha in kuntum sadiqeena
All these edibles (which are Halâl according to the Laws given to Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) were also lawful (Halâl) for the Children of Israel, although there were a few such things which Israel (Nation of Prophet Ya’qûb) had made unlawful on them before the Taurât was revealed.  Ask them, if you are truthful (in your objection) then bring the Taurât and present any text from it

فَمَنِ افْتَرَىَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ مِن بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

94.             Famani iftara AAala Allahi alkathiba min baAAdi thalika faolaika humu althalimoona
Even after this those people who relate their fabricated lies towards Allâh in fact they are the cruel (Zâlimûn).

قُلْ صَدَقَ اللّهُ فَاتَّبِعُواْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

95.             Qul sadaqa Allahu faittabiAAoo millata ibraheema haneefan wama kana mina almushrikeena
Say: "Whatever Allâh has said is true, you should sincerely follow the Way of Ibrâhim, and Ibrâhim was not from the idolaters (Al-Mushrikûn).

إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِّلْعَالَمِينَ

96.             Inna awwala baytin wudiAAa lilnnasi lallathee bibakkata mubarakan wahudan lilAAalameena
No doubt the first House of worship, which was built for mankind, is the one, which is in Makkah (Bakkah). It was fully blessed and was made a center of guidance for all the creatures of the world (Al-'Alamîn).

فِيهِ آيَاتٌ بَيِّـنَاتٌ مَّقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَن دَخَلَهُ كَانَ آمِنًا وَلِلّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ الله غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ

97.             Feehi ayatun bayyinatun maqamu ibraheema waman dakhalahu kana aminan walillahi AAala alnnasi hijju albayti mani istataAAa ilayhi sabeelan waman kafara fainna Allaha ghaniyyun AAani alAAalameena
There are clear signs in it, it is the place (Maqâm) of Ibrâhim’s worship, and whoever enters in it attains the security and peace.  This is the right of Allâh on the people that whoever has the means to reach to this House should perform the Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to this House, and whoever denies to obey this order then he/she must know that Allâh is not in need of any creature of the world ('Alamîn).

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا تَعْمَلُونَ

98.             Qul ya ahla alkitabi lima takfuroona biayati Allahi waAllahu shaheedun AAala ma taAAmaloona
Say: "O people of the Scripture, why do you refuse to accept the revelation (Ayât) of Allâh?  Whatever you are doing Allâh is watching everything."

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ تَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا وَأَنتُمْ شُهَدَاء وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

99.             Qul ya ahla alkitabi lima tasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi man amana tabghoonaha AAiwajan waantum shuhadao wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona
Say: "O people of the Scripture, what is your behavior that you stop him/her from the path of Allâh who embraces the Word of Allâh and want that he/she should go astray, whereas you yourselves are witnesses (that he is on the right path).  Allâh is not unaware of what you do."

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوَاْ إِن تُطِيعُواْ فَرِيقًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ يَرُدُّوكُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ كَافِرِينَ

100.          Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tuteeAAoo fareeqan mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba yaruddookum baAAda eemanikum kafireena
O people who have brought Faith, if you follow a group of people of the Scripture, then they will turn you back from Faith (Iman) to infidelity (Kufr).

وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللّهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُهُ وَمَن يَعْتَصِم بِاللّهِ فَقَدْ هُدِيَ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

101.          Wakayfa takfuroona waantum tutla AAalaykum ayatu Allahi wafeekum rasooluhu waman yaAAtasim biAllahi faqad hudiya ila siratin mustaqeemin
What is the reason that you turn back to infidelity (Kufr) when the Verses (Revelation) of Allâh are being recited to you and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is among you?  Whoever will firmly hold the rope of Allâh he/she will surely find the right path. (R) 1

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اتَّقُواْ اللّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

102.          Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha haqqa tuqatihi wala tamootunna illa waantum muslimoona
O people who have brought Faith, Fear Allâh, as HE should be feared.  The death should not come to you but in the state that you are Muslims.

وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اللّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَاء فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىَ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ

103.          WaiAAtasimoo bihabli Allahi jameeAAan wala tafarraqoo waothkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum ith kuntum aAAdaan faallafa bayna quloobikum faasbahtum biniAAmatihi ikhwanan wakuntum AAala shafa hufratin mina alnnari faanqathakum minha kathalika yubayyinu Allahu lakum ayatihi laAAallakum tahtadoona
You all together hold firm the Rope of Allâh (Al-Qur'ân) and do not devise division. Remember the favor of Allâh that HE has done to you. You were enemies to one another, HE brought your hearts together and with HIS blessing and Grace you became brothers to each other. You were standing on the edge of fire hole; Allâh saved you from it.  This is how Allâh makes HIS Signs (Ayât) clear to you so that you might see the straight path of your prosperity from these signs.

وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

104.          Waltakun minkum ommatun yadAAoona ila alkhayri wayamuroona bialmaAAroofi wayanhawna AAani almunkari waolaika humu almuflihoona
There must be some such people among you who invite towards the righteousness, command for the good (Al-Ma'rûf), and keep forbidding the evil (Al-Munkar).  Whoever will do so will be successful.

وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَاخْتَلَفُواْ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

105.          Wala takoonoo kaallatheena tafarraqoo waikhtalafoo min baAAdi ma jaahumu albayyinatu waolaika lahum AAathabun AAatheemun
However you should not become like those people who were divided into sects and after receiving the plain and clear guidance indulged in differences.  Whoever has adopted this way they will get severe punishment on that Day.

يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكْفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

106.          Yawma tabyaddu wujoohun wataswaddu wujoohun faamma allatheena iswaddat wujoohuhum akafartum baAAda eemanikum fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona
While some people will be successful and the faces of some people will be black. Whose face will be black (it will be said to them that), even after receiving the blessings of Faith you adopted the attitude of infidelity (Kufr)?  Well then now taste the punishment in penalty of rejecting the blessings.

وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ ابْيَضَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فَفِي رَحْمَةِ اللّهِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

107.          Waamma allatheena ibyaddat wujoohuhum fafee rahmati Allahi hum feeha khalidoona
As for those people whose faces will be brightened they will get place in the Mercy of Allâh and they will remain in that state forever.

تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَمَا اللّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْمًا لِّلْعَالَمِينَ

108.          Tilka ayatu Allahi natlooha AAalayka bialhaqqi wama Allahu yureedu thulman lilAAalameena
These are the commandments (Verses) of Allâh, which WE are reciting to you (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in truth, because Allâh does not have any intention to harm the people of the world ('Alâmîn).

وَلِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَإِلَى اللّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأُمُورُ

109.          Walillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru
Allâh is owner of all things that are on the earth and in the skies, and all the matters are presented before Allâh. (R) 2

كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُم مِّنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

110.          Kuntum khayra ommatin okhrijat lilnnasi tamuroona bialmaAAroofi watanhawna AAani almunkari watuminoona biAllahi walaw amana ahlu alkitabi lakana khayran lahum minhumu almuminoona waaktharuhumu alfasiqoona
Now you are the best group in the world whom (WE) have brought forward for the guidance and reformation of the mankind.  You command for the good (Al-Ma'rûf), forbid the evil (Al-Munkar) and have Faith in Allâh.   It was better for them (if) the people of Scripture would have brought Faith.  Although there are also some believers among them but the majority of them are disobedients (Al-Fâsiqûn).

لَن يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلاَّ أَذًى وَإِن يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ الأَدُبَارَ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنصَرُونَ

111.          Lan yadurrookum illa athan wain yuqatilookum yuwallookumu aladbara thumma la yunsaroona
They cannot harm you at all; at the most (they) can only harass you a little.  If they fight against you then they will turn their backs in the fight, and then they will be so helpless that they will not get any help from anywhere.

ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُواْ إِلاَّ بِحَبْلٍ مِّنْ اللّهِ وَحَبْلٍ مِّنَ النَّاسِ وَبَآؤُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَسْكَنَةُ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الأَنبِيَاء بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ

112.          Duribat AAalayhimu alththillatu ayna ma thuqifoo illa bihablin mina Allahi wahablin mina alnnasi wabaoo bighadabin mina Allahi waduribat AAalayhimu almaskanatu thalika biannahum kanoo yakfuroona biayati Allahi wayaqtuloona alanbiyaa bighayri haqqin thalika bima AAasaw wakanoo yaAAtadoona
Wherever they have been found, humiliation was stamped on them; this is another thing that they get refuge under the favor of Allâh or shelter of other people. They have been surrounded by the Anger of Allâh, destruction and humiliation has been forced on them, and all this has been done only because they have been rejecting the Revelation (Ayât) of Allâh and they killed the Prophets without any justification. This is the result of their disobedience and wrongdoing.

لَيْسُواْ سَوَاء مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أُمَّةٌ قَآئِمَةٌ يَتْلُونَ آيَاتِ اللّهِ آنَاء اللَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ

113.          Laysoo sawaan min ahli alkitabi ommatun qaimatun yatloona ayati Allahi anaa allayli wahum yasjudoona
But all the people of Scripture are not alike.  There are some such people among them who are still on the right path, they recite the Verses of Allâh and prostrate before HIM at nights,

يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَيُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

114.          Yuminoona biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri wayamuroona bialmaAAroofi wayanhawna AAani almunkari wayusariAAoona fee alkhayrati waolaika mina alssaliheena
They have Faith in Allâh and the Day of Judgment, (they) command for the good (Al-Ma'rûf) and forbid the evil (Al-Munkar) and are active in good deeds. They are the upright people

وَمَا يَفْعَلُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلَن يُكْفَرُوْهُ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ

115.          Wama yafAAaloo min khayrin falan yukfaroohu waAllahu AAaleemun bialmuttaqeena
And whatever good they do it will not be dishonored, Allâh knows the pious people (Al-Muttaqûn) very well.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا وَأُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

116.          Inna allatheena kafaroo lan tughniya AAanhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina Allahi shayan waolaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona
As for those people who have adopted the path of infidelity (Kufr) then neither their wealth nor their offspring will benefit them against Allâh, they are the people who are destined for the fire and they will remain there forever.

مَثَلُ مَا يُنفِقُونَ فِي هِـذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيحٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتْ حَرْثَ قَوْمٍ ظَلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَتْهُ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللّهُ وَلَـكِنْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ

117.          Mathalu ma yunfiqoona fee hathihi alhayati alddunya kamathali reehin feeha sirrun asabat hartha qawmin thalamoo anfusahum faahlakathu wama thalamahumu Allahu walakin anfusahum yathlimoona
Whatever they are spending in their worldly life its example is like a wind, which has frost in it, and it flows over the harvest of those people who have done wrong to themselves and completely destroys it.  Allâh has not done any injustice to them; in fact they themselves are doing wrong to them.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ بِطَانَةً مِّن دُونِكُمْ لاَ يَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالاً وَدُّواْ مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاء مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

118.          Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tattakhithoo bitanatan min doonikum la yaloonakum khabalan waddoo ma AAanittum qad badati albaghdao min afwahihim wama tukhfee sudooruhum akbaru qad bayyanna lakumu alayati in kuntum taAAqiloona
O people, who have brought Faith, do not take others as your trusties (Bitânah) except people of your own group.  They do not miss any opportunity of benefiting from any incident of your difficulty.  The thing that harms you is dearest to them.   The hatred of their hearts comes out from their mouths and whatever they have concealed in their hearts is far worse than that.  WE have given you plain and clear guidance, if you have wisdom (then be careful in establishing relationship with them).

هَاأَنتُمْ أُوْلاء تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْكِتَابِ كُلِّهِ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمْ قَالُواْ آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْاْ عَضُّواْ عَلَيْكُمُ الأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ قُلْ مُوتُواْ بِغَيْظِكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

119.          Ha antum olai tuhibboonahum wala yuhibboonakum watuminoona bialkitabi kullihi waitha laqookum qaloo amanna waitha khalaw AAaddoo AAalaykumu alanamila mina alghaythi qul mootoo bighaythikum inna Allaha AAaleemun bithati alssudoori
You are in love with them but they do not love you whereas you believe in all the Scriptures of heaven.  When they meet with you they say that we have also accepted (your Rasool and your Book), but when they depart then the condition of their anger against you is that they start biting their fingers--tell them “die in your own anger”, Allâh even Knows the concealed secrets of the hearts

إِن تَمْسَسْكُمْ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِن تُصِبْكُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَفْرَحُواْ بِهَا وَإِن تَصْبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ

120.          In tamsaskum hasanatun tasuhum wain tusibkum sayyiatun yafrahoo biha wain tasbiroo watattaqoo la yadurrukum kayduhum shayan inna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona muheetun
A good comes to you they feel bad, and (when) a difficulty comes to you they feel happy. But none of their plan could work against you provided you remain patient and keep on working with the fear of Allâh (become Al-Muttaqûn). Whatever they are doing Allâh dominates over it. (R) 3

وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّىءُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ وَاللّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

121.          Waith ghadawta min ahlika tubawwio almumineena maqaAAida lilqitali waAllahu sameeAAun AAaleemun
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, mention that incident before the Muslims) When you departed your home early in the morning and were posting the Muslims at different positions for the battle (in the field of Uhud).  Allâh hears everything and HE is Well Aware.

إِذْ هَمَّت طَّآئِفَتَانِ مِنكُمْ أَن تَفْشَلاَ وَاللّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

122.          Ith hammat taifatani minkum an tafshala waAllahu waliyyuhuma waAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almuminoona
Recall that when two groups among you were intended to show cowardliness, whereas Allâh was present to help them (Walî) and the believers should put their trust in Allâh Alone.

وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ

123.          Walaqad nasarakumu Allahu bibadrin waantum athillatun faittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum tashkuroona
After all before this Allâh had already helped you at the battle of Badr whereas you were very weak at that time.  So you should save yourself to be unthankful to Allâh it is expected now you will become grateful.

إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَن يَكْفِيكُمْ أَن يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِثَلاَثَةِ آلاَفٍ مِّنَ الْمَلآئِكَةِ مُنزَلِينَ

124.          Ith taqoolu lilmumineena alan yakfiyakum an yumiddakum rabbukum bithalathati alafin mina almalaikati munzaleena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam), recall when you were saying to the believers, "Is it not enough for you that Allâh help you by sending down three thousand Angels?"

بَلَى إِن تَصْبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ وَيَأْتُوكُم مِّن فَوْرِهِمْ هَـذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِخَمْسَةِ آلافٍ مِّنَ الْمَلآئِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ

125.          Bala in tasbiroo watattaqoo wayatookum min fawrihim hatha yumdidkum rabbukum bikhamsati alafin mina almalaikati musawwimeena
Of Course, if you remain patient and fear Allâh in your deeds then as soon as the enemy will attack you the same time your Râbb will help you with (not three thousand but) five thousand specially marked (of distinction) Angels.

وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللّهُ إِلاَّ بُشْرَى لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُم بِهِ وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلاَّ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ

126.          Wama jaAAalahu Allahu illa bushra lakum walitatmainna quloobukum bihi wama alnnasru illa min AAindi Allahi alAAazeezi alhakeemi
Allâh has told you this thing so that you should be happy and your hearts should be in peace.  Victory or relief comes only from Allâh (the One) WHO is Omnipotent and All Wise.

لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنقَلِبُواْ خَآئِبِينَ

127.          LiyaqtaAAa tarafan mina allatheena kafaroo aw yakbitahum fayanqaliboo khaibeena
(And HE will give you this help) So that HE should cut-off one part of the unbelievers, or give them severe humiliated defeat that they retreat with frustration.

لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذَّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ

128.          Laysa laka mina alamri shayon aw yatooba AAalayhim aw yuAAaththibahum fainnahum thalimoona
(O Prophet, Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) You do not have any part in the authority of decisions, Allâh alone has the authority, whether to forgive them, or punish them because they are the evildoers (Zâlimûn)

وَلِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاء وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاء وَاللّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

129.          Walillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi yaghfiru liman yashao wayuAAaththibu man yashao waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun
Whatever is in the earth and in the skies Allâh is the Owner of all that, (HE) forgives whomever HE wishes and punishes whomever HE wants, HE is Forgiving and Merciful. (R) 4

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَأْكُلُواْ الرِّبَا أَضْعَافًا مُّضَاعَفَةً وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

130.            Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takuloo alrriba adAAafan mudaAAafatan waittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum tuflihoona

O people, who have brought Faith, stop taking this growing and multiplying interest (Ribâ) and fear Allâh it is expected that you will be benefited.

وَاتَّقُواْ النَّارَالَّتِي أُعِدَّتْلِلْكَافِرِينَ

131.            Waittaqoo alnnara allatee oAAiddat lilkafireena
Guard yourself against the Fire that has been prepared for the infidels (Kafir).  

وَأَطِيعُواْ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

132.          WaateeAAoo Allaha waalrrasoola laAAallakum turhamoona
Obey Allâh and Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), it is expected that you may obtain mercy.

وَسَارِعُواْ إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

133.          WasariAAoo ila maghfiratin min rabbikum wajannatin AAarduha alssamawatu waalardu oAAiddat lilmuttaqeena
Rush towards the way which leads to forgiveness of your Râbb and towards that Paradise which is as vast as the skies and the earth, and that has been prepared for those pious people (Al-Muttaqûn),

الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاء وَالضَّرَّاء وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

134.          Allatheena yunfiqoona fee alssarrai waalddarrai waalkathimeena alghaytha waalAAafeena AAani alnnasi waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineena
Whoever spend their wealth in the Path of Allâh either they are prosperous or meager, (those) who control their anger and forgive other’s mistakes--Allâh likes such pious people (Al-Muhsinûn)

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُواْ أَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُواْ اللّهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَن يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ اللّهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَى مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

135.          Waallatheena itha faAAaloo fahishatan aw thalamoo anfusahum thakaroo Allaha faistaghfaroo lithunoobihim waman yaghfiru alththunooba illa Allahu walam yusirroo AAala ma faAAaloo wahum yaAAlamoona
And they are such people if any act of indecency (Fahshâ) have been done by them or they wronged themselves by committing any sin then immediately they remember Allâh and they seek forgiveness from HIM for their sins--because except Allâh who else has the power to forgive sins--and they never knowingly persist in what they have done.

أُوْلَـئِكَ جَزَآؤُهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَجَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ

136.          Olaika jazaohum maghfiratun min rabbihim wajannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha waniAAma ajru alAAamileena
The reward for such people with their Râbb is that HE will forgive them and will enter them in such gardens underneath which canals will be flowing and they will remain there forever.  What an excellent reward is for those who do good deeds.

قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌ فَسِيرُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذَّبِينَ

137.          Qad khalat min qablikum sunanun faseeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena
Many periods have been passed before you.  Travel through the land and see --what was the end of those people who rejected (Guidance and Commandment of Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala).

هَـذَا بَيَانٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

138.          Hatha bayanun lilnnasi wahudan wamawAAithatun lilmuttaqeena
This (Al-Qur'ân) is clear and plain warning for mankind and who fear Allâh (Al-Muttaqûn) for them this is guidance and advice.

وَلاَ تَهِنُوا وَلاَ تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنتُمُ الأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

139.          Wala tahinoo wala tahzanoo waantumu alaAAlawna in kuntum mumineena
Do not be disheartened, do not grieve, you will be victorious if you are true believers.

إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِّثْلُهُ وَتِلْكَ الأيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَاء وَاللّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ

140.          In yamsaskum qarhun faqad massa alqawma qarhun mithluhu watilka alayyamu nudawiluha bayna alnnasi waliyaAAlama Allahu allatheena amanoo wayattakhitha minkum shuhadaa waAllahu la yuhibbu alththalimeena
If you have been hurt this time then before it your enemy has also received a similar damage. These are the ups and downs of the time, which WE keep rotating among the people. The time has been brought upon you because Allâh wanted to see (who are) the believers among you, and wanted to separate those people who are indeed witnesses (of truth)--because Allâh does not like the evildoers (Zâlimûn)

وَلِيُمَحِّصَ اللّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَيَمْحَقَ الْكَافِرِينَ

141.          Waliyumahhisa Allahu allatheena amanoo wayamhaqa alkafireena
And by this test Allâh wanted to destroy the infidels (Kafir) by separating the believers.

أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُواْ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللّهُ الَّذِينَ جَاهَدُواْ مِنكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ الصَّابِرِينَ

142.          Am hasibtum an tadkhuloo aljannata walamma yaAAlami Allahu allatheena jahadoo minkum wayaAAlama alssabireena
Do you think that you will enter into Paradise for free (just like this, without going through trial) whereas yet Allâh has not seen that who are those people among you, who are ready to fight for HIS Cause and are patient (As-Sâbirin) for HIS Sake?

وَلَقَدْ كُنتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ الْمَوْتَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ

143.          Walaqad kuntum tamannawna almawta min qabli an talqawhu faqad raaytumoohu waantum tanthuroona
You were longing for death!  But it was then when death had not come in front of you, and now it came in front of you and you have seen it with your own eyes. (R) 5

وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلاَّ رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ أَفَإِن مَّاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ وَمَن يَنقَلِبْ عَلَىَ عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَن يَضُرَّ اللّهَ شَيْئًا وَسَيَجْزِي اللّهُ الشَّاكِرِينَ

144.          Wama muhammadun illa rasoolun qad khalat min qablihi alrrusulu afain mata aw qutila inqalabtum AAala aAAqabikum waman yanqalib AAala AAaqibayhi falan yadurra Allaha shayan wasayajzee Allahu alshshakireena
Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is only a Rasool of Allâh before him other Rasools have been passed away, then what if he dies or is being killed then – will you people turn back on your heels?  Remember! Whoever will turn back he/she will not do any harm to Allâh although whoever will remain as grateful servant of Allâh HE will reward him/her for it.

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ الله كِتَابًا مُّؤَجَّلاً وَمَن يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَن يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الآخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَسَنَجْزِي الشَّاكِرِينَ

145.          Wama kana linafsin an tamoota illa biithni Allahi kitaban muajjalan waman yurid thawaba alddunya nutihi minha waman yurid thawaba alakhirati nutihi minha wasanajzee alshshakireena
No living creature can ever die except the permission of Allâh.  The time of death is written.  Whoever will make efforts with intention of the reward of this world WE will give him/her in this world, and who will make efforts with intention of the reward of the Hereafter he/she will get reward of the Hereafter and WE will surely reward those who are grateful.

وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِيٍّ قَاتَلَ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُواْ لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُواْ وَمَا اسْتَكَانُواْ وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ

146.          Wakaayyin min nabiyyin qatala maAAahu ribbiyyoona katheerun fama wahanoo lima asabahum fee sabeeli Allahi wama daAAufoo wama istakanoo waAllahu yuhibbu alssabireena
Before this many such Prophets have passed away in whose company a large number of devotees of Allâh fought.  They never lost their hearts from the adversities that came upon them in the Path of Allâh they did not show any weakness, they did not surrender (before falsehood).  Allâh likes such patience people (As-Sâbirin).

وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَن قَالُواْ ربَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

147.          Wama kana qawlahum illa an qaloo rabbana ighfir lana thunoobana waisrafana fee amrina wathabbit aqdamana waonsurna AAala alqawmi alkafireena
Their only prayer was that: "O our Râbb, forgive our sins and mistakes, whatever crossed your limits in our affairs forgive that, firm our feet and help us against the infidels (Kafir)."

فَآتَاهُمُ اللّهُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا وَحُسْنَ ثَوَابِ الآخِرَةِ وَاللّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

148.          Faatahumu Allahu thawaba alddunya wahusna thawabi alakhirati waAllahu yuhibbu almuhsineena
Consequently Allâh gave them the reward of this world and also gave them the excellent reward of the Hereafter.  Allâh likes such pious people (Al-Muhsinûn). (R) 6

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوَاْ إِن تُطِيعُواْ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُواْ خَاسِرِينَ

149.          Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tuteeAAoo allatheena kafaroo yaruddookum AAala aAAqabikum fatanqaliboo khasireena
O people who have brought Faith, if you will follow the ways of those people who have adopted the path of unbelief then they will turn you back (from your Faith) and you will become losers.

بَلِ اللّهُ مَوْلاَكُمْ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ النَّاصِرِينَ

150.          Bali Allahu mawlakum wahuwa khayru alnnasireena
(Their saying is wrong) The fact is that Allâh is your helper (Maulâ) and HE is the Best of all helpers.

سَنُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ الرُّعْبَ بِمَا أَشْرَكُواْ بِاللّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ وَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الظَّالِمِينَ

151.          Sanulqee fee quloobi allatheena kafaroo alrruAAba bima ashrakoo biAllahi ma lam yunazzil bihi sultanan wamawahumu alnnaru wabisa mathwa alththalimeena
Soon that time is going to come when WE will inspire fear into the hearts of the rejecters of truth, because they have set partners with Allâh in HIS Kingdom whereas Allâh has not revealed any confirmation for their being partners.  Their destination is Hell and that is the worst destination that will be given to these wrongdoers (Zâlimûn).

وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللّهُ وَعْدَهُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ وَاللّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

152.          Walaqad sadaqakumu Allahu waAAdahu ith tahussoonahum biithnihi hatta itha fashiltum watanazaAAtum fee alamri waAAasaytum min baAAdi ma arakum ma tuhibboona minkum man yureedu alddunya waminkum man yureedu alakhirata thumma sarafakum AAanhum liyabtaliyakum walaqad AAafa AAankum waAllahu thoo fadlin AAala almumineena
The promise Allâh had made (for help and victory) with you HE fulfilled it.  In the beginning you were killing them with HIS Permission. But when you showed weakness and mutually disputed in your duty, and as soon as Allâh showed you that thing which you loved the most (the booty) you disobeyed the command of your leader–because there were a few people among you who desired this world and some who desired the Hereafter–then Allâh caused you to retreat against the infidels (Kafir) in order to test you.  And the truth is that even then Allâh has forgiven you because Allâh is Most Gracious to the believers.

إِذْ تُصْعِدُونَ وَلاَ تَلْوُونَ عَلَى أحَدٍ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ فِي أُخْرَاكُمْ فَأَثَابَكُمْ غُمَّاً بِغَمٍّ لِّكَيْلاَ تَحْزَنُواْ عَلَى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلاَ مَا أَصَابَكُمْ وَاللّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

153.          Ith tusAAidoona wala talwoona AAala ahadin waalrrasoolu yadAAookum fee okhrakum faathabakum ghamman bighammin likay la tahzanoo AAala ma fatakum wala ma asabakum waAllahu khabeerun bima taAAmaloona
Recall when you had been running away, you were not even conscious to look back at anyone, and the Rasool (Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was calling you from your backs.  At that time Allâh gave you the reward of your behavior that HE gave you grief after grief so that you may learn lesson for future that whatever goes from your hand or whatever misery comes to you on that you should not grief.  Allâh is Aware of all your deeds.

ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّن بَعْدِ الْغَمِّ أَمَنَةً نُّعَاسًا يَغْشَى طَآئِفَةً مِّنكُمْ وَطَآئِفَةٌ قَدْ أَهَمَّتْهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ يَظُنُّونَ بِاللّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ ظَنَّ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَقُولُونَ هَل لَّنَا مِنَ الأَمْرِ مِن شَيْءٍ قُلْ إِنَّ الأَمْرَ كُلَّهُ لِلَّهِ يُخْفُونَ فِي أَنفُسِهِم مَّا لاَ يُبْدُونَ لَكَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ مَّا قُتِلْنَا هَاهُنَا قُل لَّوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ إِلَى مَضَاجِعِهِمْ وَلِيَبْتَلِيَ اللّهُ مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَلِيُمَحَّصَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

154.          Thumma anzala AAalaykum min baAAdi alghammi amanatan nuAAasan yaghsha taifatan minkum wataifatun qad ahammathum anfusuhum yathunnoona biAllahi ghayra alhaqqi thanna aljahiliyyati yaqooloona hal lana mina alamri min shayin qul inna alamra kullahu lillahi yukhfoona fee anfusihim ma la yubdoona laka yaqooloona law kana lana mina alamri shayon ma qutilna hahuna qul law kuntum fee buyootikum labaraza allatheena kutiba AAalayhimu alqatlu ila madajiAAihim waliyabtaliya Allahu ma fee sudoorikum waliyumahhisa ma fee quloobikum waAllahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori
After this grief Allâh prevailed the situation of tranquility on some of you that they began to snooze. But another group, the only importance for them was for their own-selves, was having all types of illiterate thoughts about Allâh, which were entirely against the truth. These people now say: "In the conduct of this affair we do have some part"?  Tell them: "All the power is in the hands of Allâh (no one has any part) for their matters."  In fact what these people are hiding in their hearts -- which they do not disclose to you. What they really mean is that: "If (in leadership) we had any share in these affairs then we would not have been killed here."  Tell them: "Even if you have remained in your homes even then for those of you who were destined to be killed they themselves would have come out towards the places of their death."  And this happened, it was because whatever is concealed in your hearts Allâh might test it and separate the impurity that is hidden in your hearts, Allâh knows the condition of the hearts.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوْاْ مِنكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ إِنَّمَا اسْتَزَلَّهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِبَعْضِ مَا كَسَبُواْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا اللّهُ عَنْهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ

155.          Inna allatheena tawallaw minkum yawma iltaqa aljamAAani innama istazallahumu alshshaytanu bibaAAdi ma kasaboo walaqad AAafa Allahu AAanhum inna Allaha ghafoorun haleemun
Among you those people who had turned their backs on the day of battle the reason for their instability was that, because of their some weaknesses Satan (Shaitân) had made their footing insecure.  Allâh has forgiven them; Allâh is Oft Forgiving and Forbearing. (R) 7 

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقَالُواْ لإِخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُواْ غُزًّى لَّوْ كَانُواْ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُواْ وَمَا قُتِلُواْ لِيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ يُحْيِـي وَيُمِيتُ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

156.          Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takoonoo kaallatheena kafaroo waqaloo liikhwanihim itha daraboo fee alardi aw kanoo ghuzzan law kanoo AAindana ma matoo wama qutiloo liyajAAala Allahu thalika hasratan fee quloobihim waAllahu yuhyee wayumeetu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun
O people who have brought Faith, do not talk like infidels (Kafir) whose relatives if ever gone on a journey or participated in the battle (and there they met with an accident) then they say that if they would have been with us then (they) would have neither died nor been killed.  Allâh makes such type of conversation a cause of regret and grief for their hearts, otherwise in fact Allâh is the One WHO gives death and life and HE is watchful over all your actions. 

وَلَئِن قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ

157.          Walain qutiltum fee sabeeli Allahi aw muttum lamaghfiratun mina Allahi warahmatun khayrun mimma yajmaAAoona
If you are killed or die in the Path of Allâh then the Mercy and Forgiveness of Allâh -- which will come in your share -- is far better than all those things, which these people accumulate.

وَلَئِن مُّتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لإِلَى الله تُحْشَرُونَ

158.          Walain muttum aw qutiltum laila Allahi tuhsharoona
And whether you die or being killed however you all have to return to Allâh.

فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لاَنفَضُّواْ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ

159.          Fabima rahmatin mina Allahi linta lahum walaw kunta faththan ghaleetha alqalbi lainfaddoo min hawlika faoAAfu AAanhum waistaghfir lahum washawirhum fee alamri faitha AAazamta fatawakkal AAala Allahi inna Allaha yuhibbu almutawakkileena
(O Prophet, Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) This is great mercy of Allâh that you have happened to be very polite for these people.  Otherwise if you have been bitter and hard-hearted then they all would have broken away from you.  Forgive their mistakes, pray for their forgiveness, and also consult them in the affairs of Deen (Islamic way of life), and when you have taken a decision on some issues then put your trust in Allâh, Allâh likes those people who act on HIS Trust.

إِن يَنصُرْكُمُ اللّهُ فَلاَ غَالِبَ لَكُمْ وَإِن يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَن ذَا الَّذِي يَنصُرُكُم مِّن بَعْدِهِ وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكِّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

160.          In yansurkumu Allahu fala ghaliba lakum wain yakhthulkum faman tha allathee yansurukum min baAAdihi waAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almuminoona
(When) Allâh is for your help then no power can overcome you, and if HE leaves you alone, then except HIM who can help you?  So who are true believers they should put their trust in Allâh Alone.

وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَن يَغُلَّ وَمَن يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ

161.          Wama kana linabiyyin an yaghulla waman yaghlul yati bima ghalla yawma alqiyamati thumma tuwaffa kullu nafsin ma kasabat wahum la yuthlamoona
It could not be an act of any Prophets that he breaches the trust – and whoever does dishonesty will come with his dishonesty on the Day of Resurrection.  Then every person will be paid in full for what he has earned and no injustice will be done to anyone–

أَفَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَ اللّهِ كَمَن بَاء بِسَخْطٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ

162.          Afamani ittabaAAa ridwana Allahi kaman baa bisakhatin mina Allahi wamawahu jahannamu wabisa almaseeru
How it could be that a person who always follows the Pleasures of Allâh he/she acts like the one -- who has been surrounded by the Wrath of Allâh and whose ultimate destination is Hell, which is the worst place to stay?

هُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِندَ اللّهِ واللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ

163.          Hum darajatun AAinda Allahi waAllahu baseerun bima yaAAmaloona
In the Sight of Allâh there is a big difference in both kinds of people and Allâh observes the actions of all the people.

لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤمِنِينَ إِذْ بَعَثَ فِيهِمْ رَسُولاً مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُواْ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلالٍ مُّبِينٍ

164.          Laqad manna Allahu AAala almumineena ith baAAatha feehim rasoolan min anfusihim yatloo AAalayhim ayatihi wayuzakkeehim wayuAAallimuhumu alkitaba waalhikmata wain kanoo min qablu lafee dalalin mubeenin
In fact Allâh has done a great favor to the believers that among them from themselves has raised a Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) who recites HIS Revelation (Verses of Al-Qur'ân) to them, purifies their lives and teaches them the Book (Al-Qur'ân) and Wisdom (Al­-Hikmah), whereas before it these people were in clear error.

أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُم مِّثْلَيْهَا قُلْتُمْ أَنَّى هَـذَا قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

165.          Awa lamma asabatkum museebatun qad asabtum mithlayha qultum anna hatha qul huwa min AAindi anfusikum inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
And what is your behavior that when a difficulty came to you then you started saying from where it came?  Whereas (in battle of Badr) twice of this disaster has been done (on the opposite group) by your hands. O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) tell them that you have brought this disaster by yourselves, Allâh has power over all things.

وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ فَبِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

166.          Wama asabakum yawma iltaqa aljamAAani fabiithni Allahi waliyaAAlama almumineena
The loss you have suffered on the day of the battle (Uhud) was by the leave of Allâh and it was because Allâh should see among you who are Believers and who are Hypocrites.

وَلْيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ نَافَقُواْ وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْاْ قَاتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوِ ادْفَعُواْ قَالُواْ لَوْ نَعْلَمُ قِتَالاً لاَّتَّبَعْنَاكُمْ هُمْ لِلْكُفْرِ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَقْرَبُ مِنْهُمْ لِلإِيمَانِ يَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِهِم مَّا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَكْتُمُونَ

167.          WaliyaAAlama allatheena nafaqoo waqeela lahum taAAalaw qatiloo fee sabeeli Allahi awi idfaAAoo qaloo law naAAlamu qitalan laittabaAAnakum hum lilkufri yawmaithin aqrabu minhum lileemani yaqooloona biafwahihim ma laysa fee quloobihim waAllahu aAAlamu bima yaktumoona
When it was said to those hypocrites: "Come and fight in the Path of Allâh or at least defend (your town)."  Then they started saying: "If we knew that fighting will take place today then we certainly have gone with you."  When they were saying this thing at that time they were closer to infidelity (Kufr) than Faith.  They utter those things from their tongues, which are not in their hearts, and whatever they hide in their hearts Allâh knows it very well.

الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ لإِخْوَانِهِمْ وَقَعَدُواْ لَوْ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُوا قُلْ فَادْرَؤُوا عَنْ أَنفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

168.          Allatheena qaloo liikhwanihim waqaAAadoo law ataAAoona ma qutiloo qul faidraoo AAan anfusikumu almawta in kuntum sadiqeena
These are those people who kept sitting (at their homes) and said about their those brothers who went to fight and died that if they have listened to us then they would not have been killed. Tell them if you are true in your sayings then when your own death comes turn it away.

وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ

169.          Wala tahsabanna allatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi amwatan bal ahyaon AAinda rabbihim yurzaqoona
Do not consider those people dead who have been killed in the path of Allâh in fact they are alive, they are getting provisions from their Râbb,

فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُواْ بِهِم مِّنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلاَّ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

170.          Fariheena bima atahumu Allahu min fadlihi wayastabshiroona biallatheena lam yalhaqoo bihim min khalfihim alla khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona
Whatever Allâh has given to them with HIS Blessing; they are happy with it, and are also satisfied that those believers who are left behind them in the world and have not yet joined them, also for them there is nothing to fear and grieve.

يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِنِعْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَفَضْلٍ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

171.          Yastabshiroona biniAAmatin mina Allahi wafadlin waanna Allaha la yudeeAAu ajra almumineena
They are happy and joyful on the Reward and Bounty of Allâh and they have come to know that Allâh does not waste the reward of the believers. (R) 8

الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُواْ لِلّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِن بَعْدِ مَآ أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُواْ مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّقَواْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

172.          Allatheena istajaboo lillahi waalrrasooli min baAAdi ma asabahumu alqarhu lillatheena ahsanoo minhum waittaqaw ajrun AAatheemun
(The reward of such believers) Who even after receiving injuries have responded to the Call of Allâh and the Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)–among them those people who are pious and have fear of Allâh there is a great reward for them–

الَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّاسُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُواْ لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَاناً وَقَالُواْ حَسْبُنَا اللّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

173.          Allatheena qala lahumu alnnasu inna alnnasa qad jamaAAoo lakum faikhshawhum fazadahum eemanan waqaloo hasbuna Allahu waniAAma alwakeelu
To whom the people said, "The large armies have gathered against you, fear them", then after hearing it their faith increased more and they responded: "Allâh is Sufficient for us and HE is the Best Planner".

فَانقَلَبُواْ بِنِعْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَفَضْلٍ لَّمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ وَاتَّبَعُواْ رِضْوَانَ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَظِيمٍ

174.          Fainqalaboo biniAAmatin mina Allahi wafadlin lam yamsashum sooon waittabaAAoo ridwana Allahi waAllahu thoo fadlin AAatheemin
Consequently they returned with Blessing and Grace of Allâh they did not suffer any harm at all -- and they also got the honor of following the Consent of Allâh, Allâh is Most Gracious.

إِنَّمَا ذَلِكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوْلِيَاءهُ فَلاَ تَخَافُوهُمْ وَخَافُونِ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

175.          Innama thalikumu alshshaytanu yukhawwifu awliyaahu fala takhafoohum wakhafooni in kuntum mumineena
Now you came to know that in fact it was Satan (Shaitân) who was scaring from his friends (Auliyâ') for nothing.  Therefore in future you should not fear mankind, Fear ME if in fact you have Faith.

وَلاَ يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَن يَضُرُّواْ اللّهَ شَيْئاً يُرِيدُ اللّهُ أَلاَّ يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظًّا فِي الآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

176.          Wala yahzunka allatheena yusariAAoona fee alkufri innahum lan yadurroo Allaha shayan yureedu Allahu alla yajAAala lahum haththan fee alakhirati walahum AAathabun AAatheemun
(O Prophet, Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) Those people who are striving hard today in the path of infidelity (Kufr) their activities should not grieve you they will not be able to do any harm to Allâh. This is intention of Allâh that no share should be kept for them in the Hereafter, and eventually they are going to get severe punishment.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُاْ الْكُفْرَ بِالإِيمَانِ لَن يَضُرُّواْ اللّهَ شَيْئًا وَلهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

177.          Inna allatheena ishtarawoo alkufra bialeemani lan yadurroo Allaha shayan walahum AAathabun aleemun
Those people who have become buyers of infidelity (Kufr) instead of Faith they surely are not doing any harm to Allâh -- painful punishment is ready for them.

وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِّأَنفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُواْ إِثْمًا وَلَهْمُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ

178.          Wala yahsabanna allatheena kafaroo annama numlee lahum khayrun lianfusihim innama numlee lahum liyazdadoo ithman walahum AAathabun muheenun
The comfort WE have been giving to them; the infidels should not consider it a good thing for themselves, WE are giving them this ease so that they may gather a heavy burden of sins, and then there is a severe disgraceful punishment for them.

مَّا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّىَ يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَكِنَّ اللّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِن رُّسُلِهِ مَن يَشَاء فَآمِنُواْ بِاللّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَإِن تُؤْمِنُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَلَكُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

179.          Ma kana Allahu liyathara almumineena AAala ma antum AAalayhi hatta yameeza alkhabeetha mina alttayyibi wama kana Allahu liyutliAAakum AAala alghaybi walakinna Allaha yajtabee min rusulihi man yashao faaminoo biAllahi warusulihi wain tuminoo watattaqoo falakum ajrun AAatheemun
Allâh will never leave the believers in the condition in which you people are right now.  HE will separate the good (pure) people from the bad (impure) people. But it is not the Way of Allâh to disclose (the secrets of) the unseen (Ghaib) to you.  (To disclose the secrets of unseen) Allâh chooses from HIS Rasools whom HE Pleases. So (about the matters of unseen) believe in Allâh and HIS Rasools. If you will follow the way of Faith and Fear Allâh then you will get big reward.

وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَّهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلِلّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ

180.          Wala yahsabanna allatheena yabkhaloona bima atahummu Allahu min fadlihi huwa khayran lahum bal huwa sharrun lahum sayutawwaqoona ma bakhiloo bihi yawma alqiyamati walillahi meerathu alssamawati waalardi waAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun
Those people whom Allâh has blessed with HIS Bounty and then they act miserly they should not think that this penny-pinching is good for them.  Absolutely not, it is worse for them.  Whatever they are saving from their penny-pinching -- on the Day of Resurrection the same will become collar of their necks.  The heritage of the skies and the earth is for Allâh Alone and whatever you do Allâh is Aware of it. (R) 9

لَّقَدْ سَمِعَ اللّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ فَقِيرٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاء سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُواْ وَقَتْلَهُمُ الأَنبِيَاء بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ

181.          Laqad samiAAa Allahu qawla allatheena qaloo inna Allaha faqeerun wanahnu aghniyaon sanaktubu ma qaloo waqatlahumu alanbiyaa bighayri haqqin wanaqoolu thooqoo AAathaba alhareeqi
Allâh has heard the word of those people who say that Allâh is poor and we are rich.  WE shall also write down their these words, and before this they have been killing the Prophets unjustly that is also recorded in their conduct book. (When the time for judgment will come then) WE shall say to them look, now taste the pain of the Hell-Fire,

ذَلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلاَّمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ

182.          Thalika bima qaddamat aydeekum waanna Allaha laysa bithallamin lilAAabeedi
This is an earning of your own hands; Allâh is not unjust to HIS servants.

الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلاَّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّىَ يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قُلْ قَدْ جَاءكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذِي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

183.          Allatheena qaloo inna Allaha AAahida ilayna alla numina lirasoolin hatta yatiyana biqurbanin takuluhu alnnaru qul qad jaakum rusulun min qablee bialbayyinati wabiallathee qultum falima qataltumoohum in kutum sadiqeena
Those people who say: "Allâh has advised us that we should not accept anyone as Rasool unless he does not offer such sacrifice in our presence, that fire eats up (coming from heaven)."  Tell them: "Many Rasools have come to you before me who brought many clear signs and they also brought that sign which you have mentioned, then if you are truthful (in presenting this condition to bring faith) then why did you kill those Rasools?"

فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ جَآؤُوا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالزُّبُرِ وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُنِيرِ

184.          Fain kaththabooka faqad kuththiba rusulun min qablika jaoo bialbayyinati waalzzuburi waalkitabi almuneeri
Now, O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), if these people deny you then many Rasools before you have been denied -- who had brought clear signs (Al-Baiyinât) and the Scriptures and the enlightening Books.

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَما الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ

185.          Kullu nafsin thaiqatu almawti wainnama tuwaffawna ojoorakum yawma alqiyamati faman zuhziha AAani alnnari waodkhila aljannata faqad faza wama alhayatu alddunya illa mataAAu alghuroori
Eventually everyone has to die and you all are going to get your full rewards on the Day of Judgment.  In fact successful is the one who is set free from the Hell Fire and is admitted to the Paradise.  As for this world, it is only a deceiving thing.

لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ أَذًى كَثِيرًا وَإِن تَصْبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الأُمُورِ

186.          Latublawunna fee amwalikum waanfusikum walatasmaAAunna mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum wamina allatheena ashrakoo athan katheeran wain tasbiroo watattaqoo fainna thalika min AAazmi alomoori
O Muslims, the test of both wealth and life will certainly come upon you, and you will hear many hurtful things from the people of the Scripture and the Idolaters (Mushrikûn).  If you remain patient and kind in all these circumstances then it is a thing of great determination.

وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاء ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ

187.          Waith akhatha Allahu meethaqa allatheena ootoo alkitaba latubayyinunnahu lilnnasi wala taktumoonahu fanabathoohu waraa thuhoorihim waishtaraw bihi thamanan qaleelan fabisa ma yashtaroona
Remind the covenant to these people of Book which Allâh had taken from them that you will have to spread the teachings of the Book among the people and will not keep those hidden.  But they threw the Book behind their backs and sold it for a small gain.  What a worst business is it -- that they are doing?

لاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَا أَتَواْ وَّيُحِبُّونَ أَن يُحْمَدُواْ بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُواْ فَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّهُمْ بِمَفَازَةٍ مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

188.          La tahsabanna allatheena yafrahoona bima ataw wayuhibboona an yuhmadoo bima lam yafAAaloo fala tahsabannahum bimafazatin mina alAAathabi walahum AAathabun aleemun
You should not consider those people protected from the punishment who are happy on their misdeeds and want that in fact they should be praised for those deeds which they have not done. In fact a painful punishment is ready for them.

وَلِلّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاللّهُ عَلَىَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

189.          Walillahi mulku alssamawati waalardi waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
Allâh Alone is the Owner of the earth and the skies and HIS Power prevails over everything. (R) 10

إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي الألْبَابِ

190.          Inna fee khalqi alssamawati waalardi waikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari laayatin liolee alalbabi
In the creation of the earth and the skies and in the switching back and forth of night and day on their turns there are many signs for those sensible people,

الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىَ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذا بَاطِلاً سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

191.          Allatheena yathkuroona Allaha qiyaman waquAAoodan waAAala junoobihim wayatafakkaroona fee khalqi alssamawati waalardi rabbana ma khalaqta hatha batilan subhanaka faqina AAathaba alnnari
Who remember Allâh standing, sitting and lying down, in all positions and ponders upon the creation of the earth and the skies. (They cry out spontaneously) "O Râbb, YOU have not created all this in vain and without purpose, YOU are pure from this that YOU do any useless thing.  Therefore; O Râbb, save us from the punishment of Hell-Fire,

رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ

192.          Rabbana innaka man tudkhili alnnara faqad akhzaytahu wama lilththalimeena min ansarin
Whom YOU put into the Hell, in fact (YOU) put him/her into great shame and disgrace, and then there will be no helper for such wrongdoers (Zâlimûn).

رَّبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُواْ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الأبْرَارِ

193.          Rabbana innana samiAAna munadiyan yunadee lileemani an aminoo birabbikum faamanna rabbana faighfir lana thunoobana wakaffir AAanna sayyiatina watawaffana maAAa alabrari
O Râbb, we heard a caller who was calling towards the Faith and was saying that believe in your Râbb.  We accepted his invitation, so O our Master, whatever sins we have done forgive those, whatever bad deeds we have -- remove those and make our end with the righteous people (Al-Abrâr).

رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدتَّنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلاَ تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ

194.          Rabbana waatina ma waAAadtana AAala rusulika wala tukhzina yawma alqiyamati innaka la tukhlifu almeeAAada
"O Râbb, fulfill those promises with us which YOU have made through YOUR Rasools and do not put us to shame on the Day of Judgment, of course; YOU are not going to do against YOUR Promise."

فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّي لاَ أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِّنكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَى بَعْضُكُم مِّن بَعْضٍ فَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ وَأُخْرِجُواْ مِن دِيَارِهِمْ وَأُوذُواْ فِي سَبِيلِي وَقَاتَلُواْ وَقُتِلُواْ لأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ ثَوَابًا مِّن عِندِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ عِندَهُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ

195.          Faistajaba lahum rabbuhum annee la odeeAAu AAamala AAamilin minkum min thakarin aw ontha baAAdukum min baAAdin faallatheena hajaroo waokhrijoo min diyarihim waoothoo fee sabeelee waqataloo waqutiloo laokaffiranna AAanhum sayyiatihim walaodkhilannahum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu thawaban min AAindi Allahi waAllahu AAindahu husnu alththawabi
In response their Râbb said: "I AM not going to waist anyone’s deeds among you.  Whether male or female, you all are soul mates (alike) of each other.  Therefore those people who left their countries for MY sake and who were driven out from their homes for MY cause and suffered harm and fought for ME and were killed I will forgive all their sins and will admit them into such Gardens underneath which canals will be flowing. This is their reward with Allâh and the best reward is with Allâh."

لاَ يَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي الْبِلاَدِ

196.          La yaghurrannaka taqallubu allatheena kafaroo fee albiladi
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), the activities (affluence) of the disobedient people of Allâh in the countries of the world should not put you in deception.

مَتَاعٌ قَلِيلٌ ثُمَّ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ

197.          MataAAun qaleelun thumma mawahum jahannamu wabisa almihadu
It is a little enjoyment of this merely brief life, then they all will go to the Hell, which is the worst place to stay.

لَكِنِ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْاْ رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا نُزُلاً مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ وَمَا عِندَ اللّهِ خَيْرٌ لِّلأَبْرَارِ

198.          Lakini allatheena ittaqaw rabbahum lahum jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha nuzulan min AAindi Allahi wama AAinda Allahi khayrun lilabrari
On contrary to this; those people who live their lives with the fear of their Râbb for them there are such Gardens underneath which canals flow, in those Gardens they will stay forever, this is the thing of pleasure for them from Allâh and that which is with Allâh for the pious people that is the Best of all. (Al­-Abrâr).

وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَن يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِينَ لِلّهِ لاَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاً أُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ

199.            Wainna min ahli alkitabi laman yuminu biAllahi wama onzila ilaykum wama onzila ilayhim khashiAAeena lillahi la yashtaroona biayati Allahi thamanan qaleelan olaika lahum ajruhum AAinda rabbihim inna Allaha sareeAAu alhisabi
There are some such people among the people of Scripture who believe in Allâh bring Faith in this Book which has been revealed to you and also have Faith in that Scripture which had been sent down towards them before it, (they are) bowing down before Allâh and do not sell the Verses of Allâh for a little price.  Their reward is with their Râbb and Allâh does not delay to settle the accounts.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اصْبِرُواْ وَصَابِرُواْ وَرَابِطُواْ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

200.            Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo isbiroo wasabiroo warabitoo waittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum tuflihoona
O people who have brought Faith, be patient, show bravery against the worshipers of falsehood, be prepared to serve the truth and always fear Allâh it is expected that you will achieve success. (R) 11

“An-Nisâ – The Woman”– (Madanni - 4^th Sûrah)

Total Verses: 176

الرَّحِيمِ بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful 

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالاً كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاء وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءلُونَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا

1.               Ya ayyuha alnnasu ittaqoo rabbakumu allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wakhalaqa minha zawjaha wabaththa minhuma rijalan katheeran wanisaan waittaqoo Allaha allathee tasaaloona bihi waalarhama inna Allaha kana AAalaykum raqeeban
O people fear your Râbb WHO created you from a single soul (Adam) and from the same soul created his mate (Hawwa, Eve) and from both of them spread many men and women in the world. Fear that Allâh in WHOSE name you demand your rights from one another, and avoid destroying the relations of kinship.  Be certain that Allâh is Watching over you.

وَآتُواْ الْيَتَامَى أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلاَ تَتَبَدَّلُواْ الْخَبِيثَ بِالطَّيِّبِ وَلاَ تَأْكُلُواْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَى أَمْوَالِكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حُوبًا كَبِيرًا

2.               Waatoo alyatama amwalahum wala tatabaddaloo alkhabeetha bialttayyibi wala takuloo amwalahum ila amwalikum innahu kana hooban kabeeran
Return the properties of orphans to them, do not exchange good things with the bad things, and do not consume their properties by mixing it with your properties; it is a big sin.

وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ تُقْسِطُواْ فِي الْيَتَامَى فَانكِحُواْ مَا طَابَ لَكُم مِّنَ النِّسَاء مَثْنَى وَثُلاَثَ وَرُبَاعَ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ تَعْدِلُواْ فَوَاحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَلاَّ تَعُولُواْ

3.                Wain khiftum alla tuqsitoo fee alyatama fainkihoo ma taba lakum mina alnnisai mathna wathulatha warubaAAa fain khiftum alla taAAdiloo fawahidatan aw ma malakat aymanukum thalika adna alla taAAooloo
And if you fear that you will not be able to do justice with the orphans then the women you like from among them marry with two two, three three, four four. But if you fear that you will not be able to do justice with them then take only one wife or marry those women who came in your possession, to avoid the injustice this is closer to the fairness.

وَآتُواْ النَّسَاء صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً فَإِن طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَن شَيْءٍ مِّنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيئًا مَّرِيئًا

4.               Waatoo alnnisaa saduqatihinna nihlatan fain tibna lakum AAan shayin minhu nafsan fakuloohu haneean mareean
And pay happily (considering obligatory) the dowries (Mahr) of women, although if they themselves forgive any part of the dowry to you with their own pleasure then you can consume it with pleasure.

وَلاَ تُؤْتُواْ السُّفَهَاء أَمْوَالَكُمُ الَّتِي جَعَلَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ قِيَاماً وَارْزُقُوهُمْ فِيهَا وَاكْسُوهُمْ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا

5.                Wala tutoo alssufahaa amwalakumu allatee jaAAala Allahu lakum qiyaman waorzuqoohum feeha waoksoohum waqooloo lahum qawlan maAAroofan
And your those properties which Allâh has made means of support for your life, do not give to the foolish people, although give them to eat and wear and advise them for the righteousness.

وَابْتَلُواْ الْيَتَامَى حَتَّىَ إِذَا بَلَغُواْ النِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ آنَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُواْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلاَ تَأْكُلُوهَا إِسْرَافًا وَبِدَارًا أَن يَكْبَرُواْ وَمَن كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ حَسِيبًا

6.                Waibtaloo alyatama hatta itha balaghoo alnnikaha fain anastum minhum rushdan faidfaAAoo ilayhim amwalahum wala takulooha israfan wabidaran an yakbaroo waman kana ghaniyyan falyastaAAfif waman kana faqeeran falyakul bialmaAAroofi faitha dafaAAtum ilayhim amwalahum faashhidoo AAalayhim wakafa biAllahi haseeban
And keep testing the orphans until they reach the age of marriage. Then if you find the ability in them then give them their properties.  Never do so -- that crossing the limits of justice consume their properties hastily with the fear that they will demand their rights when they will grow up.  If the guardian of an orphan is rich he/she should be self-restraint and if he/she is poor he/she should eat it in a reasonable manner.  And when you want to hand over their properties to them then make people to witness it, and Allâh is Sufficient to settle accounts.

لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصيِبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالأَقْرَبُونَ وَلِلنِّسَاء نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالأَقْرَبُونَ مِمَّا قَلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ كَثُرَ نَصِيبًا مَّفْرُوضًا

7.                Lilrrijali naseebun mimma taraka alwalidani waalaqraboona walilnnisai naseebun mimma taraka alwalidani waalaqraboona mimma qalla minhu aw kathura naseeban mafroodan
There is a share for men in the wealth which parents and close relatives has left, and there is a share for women as well in the wealth which parents and close relatives has left, whether it is little or much, and this share has been fixed (from Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala).

وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُوْلُواْ الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُم مِّنْهُ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا

8.                Waitha hadara alqismata oloo alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeenu faorzuqoohum minhu waqooloo lahum qawlan maAAroofan
And when the people of family and orphan and the poor (Al­-Masâkîn) come at the time of distribution then from this wealth give them something and speak to them gently.

وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُواْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا خَافُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللّهَ وَلْيَقُولُواْ قَوْلاً سَدِيدًا

9.                Walyakhsha allatheena law tarakoo min khalfihim thurriyyatan diAAafan khafoo AAalayhim falyattaqoo Allaha walyaqooloo qawlan sadeedan
The people should fear while thinking of it that if they themselves would have left helpless children behind them then at the time of death they would have all kinds of fear about their own children. So they should fear Allâh and speak the truth.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ الْيَتَامَى ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِي بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًا وَسَيَصْلَوْنَ سَعِيرًا

10.             Inna allatheena yakuloona amwala alyatama thulman innama yakuloona fee butoonihim naran wasayaslawna saAAeeran
Those people who unjustly eat up the properties of the orphans in fact they fill their stomach with fire and they will surely be thrown into the blazing Fire of Hell. (R) 12

يُوصِيكُمُ اللّهُ فِي أَوْلاَدِكُمْ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنثَيَيْنِ فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَاء فَوْقَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ وَإِن كَانَتْ وَاحِدَةً فَلَهَا النِّصْفُ وَلأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِن كَانَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُ أَبَوَاهُ فَلأُمِّهِ الثُّلُثُ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُ إِخْوَةٌ فَلأُمِّهِ السُّدُسُ مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِي بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ آبَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبناؤُكُمْ لاَ تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعاً فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلِيما حَكِيمًا

11.             Yooseekumu Allahu fee awladikum lilththakari mithlu haththi alonthayayni fain kunna nisaan fawqa ithnatayni falahunna thulutha ma taraka wain kanat wahidatan falaha alnnisfu waliabawayhi likulli wahidin minhuma alssudusu mimma taraka in kana lahu waladun fain lam yakun lahu waladun wawarithahu abawahu faliommihi alththuluthu fain kana lahu ikhwatun faliommihi alssudusu min baAAdi wasiyyatin yoosee biha aw daynin abaokum waabnaokum la tadroona ayyuhum aqrabu lakum nafAAan fareedatan mina Allahi inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman
Allâh advises you about your children that: the share of a man is equal to the share of two women.  If (the family of deceased are) more than two girls then two-third (2/3^rd) of the inheritance will be given to them.  And if only one girl is in the family then half of the inheritance is for her.  If dead has children then his/her parents each of them should get one sixth (1/6^th) of the inheritance. If he/she does not have children and the parents are the only family then mother should be given one-third (1/3^rd) share.  And if the deceased also has brothers and sisters then mother has right for the one-sixth (1/6^th) share. (These all shares will be given) When the “will” of the dead is fulfilled and the debt which he/she owes is paid off.  You do not know that your parents and your children which of them are nearest to you in benefit.  Allâh has fixed these shares, and Allâh is surely Aware of all the facts and Knows all Appropriateness.

وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَاجُكُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِينَ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَلَهُنَّ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ الثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوصُونَ بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ وَإِن كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُورَثُ كَلاَلَةً أَو امْرَأَةٌ وَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ فَإِن كَانُوَاْ أَكْثَرَ مِن ذَلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَاء فِي الثُّلُثِ مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصَى بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ غَيْرَ مُضَآرٍّ وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ

12.             Walakum nisfu ma taraka azwajukum in lam yakun lahunna waladun fain kana lahunna waladun falakumu alrrubuAAu mimma tarakna min baAAdi wasiyyatin yooseena biha aw daynin walahunna alrrubuAAu mimma taraktum in lam yakun lakum waladun fain kana lakum waladun falahunna alththumunu mimma taraktum min baAAdi wasiyyatin toosoona biha aw daynin wain kana rajulun yoorathu kalalatan awi imraatun walahu akhun aw okhtun falikulli wahidin minhuma alssudusu fain kanoo akthara min thalika fahum shurakao fee alththuluthi min baAAdi wasiyyatin yoosa biha aw daynin ghayra mudarrin wasiyyatan mina Allahi waAllahu AAaleemun haleemun
And whatever your wives have left, if they do not have children then you will get half (1/2) of it, otherwise if they have children in that case your share is one-fourth (1/4^th) of the inheritance when the “will” they have made be fulfilled and the debt they have left be paid off.  And they (your wives) will be entitled to one-fourth (1/4^th) of your inheritance if you do not have children, otherwise in case if you have children then they will get one-eighth (1/8^th) share, when the will you have made be fulfilled and the debt you have left be paid off.  And if that man or woman (whose inheritance needs distribution) is childless and his/her parents are also not alive, but his/her one brother or one sister is present then brother and sister each one will get one-sixth (1/6^th) share, and the brothers and the sisters are more than one then all of them will get share from one-third (1/3^rd) of the total inheritance, when the will that has been made be fulfilled and the debts deceased has left should be paid off, provided it is not harmful.  This is an Order from Allâh and Allâh is Wiser and Most Lenient.

تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ

13.             Tilka hudoodu Allahi waman yutiAAi Allaha warasoolahu yudkhilhu jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha wathalika alfawzu alAAatheemu
These are the limits set by Allâh.  Whoever will obey Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) -- him/her Allâh will admit to the Gardens underneath which canals will be flowing and in these Gardens he/she will live forever and this is the great success.

وَمَن يَعْصِ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَلَهُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ

14.             Waman yaAAsi Allaha warasoolahu wayataAAadda hudoodahu yudkhilhu naran khalidan feeha walahu AAathabun muheenun
And whoever will disobey Allâh and HIS Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and will cross the limits set by Allâh, Allâh will throw him/her in the Fire in which he/she will live forever and there is disgraceful punishment for him/her. (R) 13

وَاللاَّتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعةً مِّنكُمْ فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّىَ يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلاً

15.             Waallatee yateena alfahishata min nisaikum faistashhidoo AAalayhinna arbaAAatan minkum fain shahidoo faamsikoohunna fee albuyooti hatta yatawaffahunna almawtu aw yajAAala Allahu lahunna sabeelan
From among your women who commit adultery bring four witnesses on them among yourselves, and if four people testify then confine them into the homes until death comes to them or Allâh opens any other way for them.

وَاللَّذَانَ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنكُمْ فَآذُوهُمَا فَإِن تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُواْ عَنْهُمَا إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا

16.             Waallathani yatiyaniha minkum faathoohuma fain taba waaslaha faaAAridoo AAanhuma inna Allaha kana tawwaban raheeman
And whoever among you commits this act punish both of them, then if they repent and correct themselves then leave them that Allâh is Opt-Acceptor of Repentance and Most Merciful.

إِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اللّهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السُّوَءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِن قَرِيبٍ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ يَتُوبُ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَلِيماً حَكِيماً

17.             Innama alttawbatu AAala Allahi lillatheena yaAAmaloona alssooa bijahalatin thumma yatooboona min qareebin faolaika yatoobu Allahu AAalayhim wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman
Yes keep this in mind that the right of acceptance of repentance with Allâh is only for those people who commit crime in ignorance and afterward repent on it quickly.  Allâh again become attentive to such people with HIS Kindness and Allâh is the One WHO Knows everything and All Wise.

وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّى إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الآنَ وَلاَ الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَـئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

18.             Walaysati alttawbatu lillatheena yaAAmaloona alssayyiati hatta itha hadara ahadahumu almawtu qala innee tubtu alana wala allatheena yamootoona wahum kuffarun olaika aAAtadna lahum AAathaban aleeman
But repentance is not for those people who keep on doing evil deeds until time of death comes for anyone of them at that time he/she says that now I repent. And in the same way repentance is not for those people who remain infidels (Kafir) till the time of death.  WE have prepared a painful punishment for such people.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُواْ النِّسَاء كَرْهًا وَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُواْ بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلاَّ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا

19.             Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaa karhan wala taAAduloohunna litathhaboo bibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa an yateena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunna bialmaAAroofi fain karihtumoohunna faAAasa an takrahoo shayan wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran
O people, who have brought Faith, it is not lawful for you to inherit women against their will. And neither it is lawful that by harassing them you try to take some part of the dowry (Mahr) you have given to them. Yes if they are guilty of open adultery (then you have the right to harass them).  Spend life with them in a good fashion. If you do not like them then it could be that you do not like one thing but Allâh may have placed a lot of good in it.

وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمُ اسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَآتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ قِنطَارًا فَلاَ تَأْخُذُواْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَتَأْخُذُونَهُ بُهْتَاناً وَإِثْماً مُّبِيناً

20.             Wain aradtumu istibdala zawjin makana zawjin waataytum ihdahunna qintaran fala takhuthoo minhu shayan atakhuthoonahu buhtanan waithman mubeenan
And if you make up your mind to bring a wife at the place of another wife then whether you have given her a heap of wealth, do not take anything back from it.  Will you take it back with false accusation and committing an open sin (cruelty)?

وَكَيْفَ تَأْخُذُونَهُ وَقَدْ أَفْضَى بَعْضُكُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ وَأَخَذْنَ مِنكُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا

21.             Wakayfa takhuthoonahu waqad afda baAAdukum ila baAAdin waakhathna minkum meethaqan ghaleethan
And after all how will you take it back while you have enjoyed from each other and they have taken a firm promise from you?

وَلاَ تَنكِحُواْ مَا نَكَحَ آبَاؤُكُم مِّنَ النِّسَاء إِلاَّ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَمَقْتًا وَسَاء سَبِيلاً

22.             Wala tankihoo ma nakaha abaokum mina alnnisai illa ma qad salafa innahu kana fahishatan wamaqtan wasaa sabeelan
And the women with whom your fathers had married never marry them, but what has happened in the past is excluded.  In fact this is an act of indecency, (it is) disliked and is an evil practice. (R) 14

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ وَعَمَّاتُكُمْ وَخَالاَتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ الأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ الأُخْتِ وَأُمَّهَاتُكُمُ اللاَّتِي أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُم مِّنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَأُمَّهَاتُ نِسَآئِكُمْ وَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللاَّتِي فِي حُجُورِكُم مِّن نِّسَآئِكُمُ اللاَّتِي دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَإِن لَّمْ تَكُونُواْ دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَحَلاَئِلُ أَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلاَبِكُمْ وَأَن تَجْمَعُواْ بَيْنَ الأُخْتَيْنِ إَلاَّ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا

23.             Hurrimat AAalaykum ommahatukum wabanatukum waakhawatukum waAAammatukum wakhalatukum wabanatu alakhi wabanatu alokhti waommahatukumu allatee ardaAAnakum waakhawatukum mina alrradaAAati waommahatu nisaikum warabaibukumu allatee fee hujoorikum min nisaikumu allatee dakhaltum bihinna fain lam takoonoo dakhaltum bihinna fala junaha AAalaykum wahalailu abnaikumu allatheena min aslabikum waan tajmaAAoo bayna alokhtayni illa ma qad salafa inna Allaha kana ghafooran raheeman
It has been forbidden to you (for marriage) your mothers, daughters, sisters, your father’s sisters, your mother’s sisters, your brother's daughters, your sister's daughters and your those mothers who have breast-fed you and your foster sisters (milk suckling) and mothers of your wives, and the daughters of your wives who have grown up in your laps -- the daughters of those wives with whom you have consummated your marriage.  Otherwise if (just Nikah has taken place and) marriage is not consummated then there is no sin on you (leaving them and marrying with their daughters)--and the wives of your those sons who are from your own blood.  And it has also been forbidden to you to gather two sisters in one marriage (Nikah), but whatever happened before that happened (is excluded), Allâh is Forgiving and Most Merciful.
