بِسْمِ
اللّهِ
الرَّحْمـَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi
Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most Merciful
وَقَالَ
الَّذِينَ
لَا
يَرْجُونَ
لِقَاءنَا
لَوْلَا
أُنزِلَ
عَلَيْنَا
الْمَلَائِكَةُ
أَوْ نَرَى
رَبَّنَا
لَقَدِ
اسْتَكْبَرُوا
فِي
أَنفُسِهِمْ
وَعَتَوْ
عُتُوًّا
كَبِيرًا
21. Waqala
allatheena la yarjoona liqaana lawla onzila AAalayna almalaikatu aw nara
rabbana laqadi istakbaroo fee anfusihim waAAataw AAutuwwan kabeeran
Those people, who do not have fear to be presented before US, they say: "Why not angels should be sent down to us? Or we should see our Râbb." They are too proud of them and exceeded their
limits in their rebellion.
يَوْمَ
يَرَوْنَ
الْمَلَائِكَةَ
لَا بُشْرَى
يَوْمَئِذٍ
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
وَيَقُولُونَ
حِجْرًا
مَّحْجُورًا
22.
Yawma yarawna almalaikata la bushra yawmaithin lilmujrimeena
wayaqooloona hijran mahjooran
The Day they will see the angels it will not be a Day of glad tidings for the
criminals (Mujriműn). (They) Will cry-out that may Allâh save us,
وَقَدِمْنَا
إِلَى مَا
عَمِلُوا
مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ
هَبَاء
مَّنثُورًا
23. Waqadimna
ila ma AAamiloo min AAamalin fajaAAalnahu habaan
manthooran
And whatever they have done WE will blow it away like a dust.
أَصْحَابُ
الْجَنَّةِ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا
وَأَحْسَنُ
مَقِيلًا
24. Ashabu aljannati yawmaithin khayrun mustaqarran
waahsanu maqeelan
Therefore, those people who deserve the Paradise will
stay at good place on that Day and will get the best place to spend the noon.
وَيَوْمَ
تَشَقَّقُ
السَّمَاء
بِالْغَمَامِ
وَنُزِّلَ
الْمَلَائِكَةُ
تَنزِيلًا
25. Wayawma tashaqqaqu alssamao bialghamami wanuzzila
almalaikatu tanzeelan
On that Day, a cloud will appear bursting the sky and
the groups of angels will be sent down.
الْمُلْكُ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
الْحَقُّ
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
وَكَانَ
يَوْمًا
عَلَى
الْكَافِرِينَ
عَسِيرًا
26. Almulku
yawmaithin alhaqqu lilrrahmani wakana yawman AAala alkafireena AAaseeran
That Day the true kingdom will only belong to the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala). And it will be a very hard Day for the
deniers.
وَيَوْمَ
يَعَضُّ
الظَّالِمُ
عَلَى يَدَيْهِ
يَقُولُ يَا
لَيْتَنِي
اتَّخَذْتُ
مَعَ
الرَّسُولِ
سَبِيلًا
27. Wayawma
yaAAaddu alththalimu AAala yadayhi yaqoolu ya laytanee ittakhathtu maAAa
alrrasooli sabeelan
The cruel person (Zâlim) will bite his/her hands and will say: "Would
that! I would have supported Rasool.
يَا
وَيْلَتَى
لَيْتَنِي
لَمْ
أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا
خَلِيلًا
28. Ya
waylata laytanee lam attakhith fulanan khaleelan
Oh my misery, Would that! I would not
have taken that person (so-and-so) as my friend.
لَقَدْ
أَضَلَّنِي
عَنِ
الذِّكْرِ
بَعْدَ إِذْ
جَاءنِي
وَكَانَ
الشَّيْطَانُ
لِلْإِنسَانِ
خَذُولًا
29. Laqad
adallanee AAani alththikri baAAda ith jaanee wakana alshshaytanu lilinsani khathoolan
Because of his/her deception I did not accept that advice which came to me,
Shaitân (Satan) proved to be a traitor for human."
وَقَالَ
الرَّسُولُ
يَا رَبِّ
إِنَّ قَوْمِي
اتَّخَذُوا
هَذَا
الْقُرْآنَ
مَهْجُورًا
30. Waqala
alrrasoolu ya rabbi inna qawmee ittakhathoo hatha alqurana mahjooran
And Rasool (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam) will say: "O my Râbb, the people of my nation had
made this Al-Qur'ân a point of ridicule.”
وَكَذَلِكَ
جَعَلْنَا
لِكُلِّ
نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا
مِّنَ
الْمُجْرِمِينَ
وَكَفَى
بِرَبِّكَ
هَادِيًا
وَنَصِيرًا
31. Wakathalika
jaAAalna likulli nabiyyin AAaduwwan mina almujrimeena wakafa birabbika hadiyan
wanaseeran
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam), the same way WE have made the criminals the enemies of every
Prophet and your Râbb is sufficient for your guidance and help.
وَقَالَ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ
عَلَيْهِ
الْقُرْآنُ
جُمْلَةً
وَاحِدَةً
كَذَلِكَ
لِنُثَبِّتَ
بِهِ
فُؤَادَكَ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ
تَرْتِيلًا
32. Waqala
allatheena kafaroo lawla nuzzila AAalayhi alquranu jumlatan wahidatan kathalika
linuthabbita bihi fuadaka warattalnahu tarteelan
The infidels say: "Why the entire Al-Qur'ân has
not been sent down to this person all at once?" -- Yes,
it has been done like this so that WE keep imparting it into your heart and
(for the same reason) WE have revealed it in separate parts in a special
order
وَلَا
يَأْتُونَكَ
بِمَثَلٍ
إِلَّا جِئْنَاكَ
بِالْحَقِّ
وَأَحْسَنَ
تَفْسِيرًا
33. Wala yatoonaka bimathalin illa jinaka bialhaqqi waahsana
tafseeran
And (there is another usefulness in it) that whenever
they brought a new thing (or strange question) before you WE had given you the
right answer at the spot and clarified the thing in a best way --
الَّذِينَ
يُحْشَرُونَ
عَلَى
وُجُوهِهِمْ
إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ
أُوْلَئِكَ
شَرٌّ
مَّكَانًا
وَأَضَلُّ
سَبِيلًا
34. Allatheena yuhsharoona AAala wujoohihim ila jahannama
olaika sharrun makanan waadallu sabeelan
Those people who are going to be driven towards the hell on top of their
faces their viewpoint is very bad and their path is most erroneous. (R) 1
وَلَقَدْ
آتَيْنَا
مُوسَى
الْكِتَابَ
وَجَعَلْنَا
مَعَهُ
أَخَاهُ
هَارُونَ
وَزِيرًا
35. Walaqad
atayna moosa alkitaba wajaAAalna maAAahu akhahu haroona wazeeran
WE gave Műsa a Book and placed his brother Hârűn with him as a helper
فَقُلْنَا
اذْهَبَا
إِلَى
الْقَوْمِ
الَّذِينَ
كَذَّبُوا
بِآيَاتِنَا
فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ
تَدْمِيرًا
36. Faqulna
ithhaba ila alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo biayatina fadammarnahum tadmeeran
And (WE) asked them: "Go to the nation who has denied OUR Revelation
(Ayât). Finally, WE destroyed those
people.
وَقَوْمَ
نُوحٍ
لَّمَّا
كَذَّبُوا
الرُّسُلَ
أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ
وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ
لِلنَّاسِ
آيَةً
وَأَعْتَدْنَا
لِلظَّالِمِينَ
عَذَابًا
أَلِيمًا
37. Waqawma
noohin lamma kaththaboo alrrusula aghraqnahum wajaAAalnahum lilnnasi ayatan
waaAAtadna lilththalimeena AAathaban aleeman
The same thing was done with the people of Nűh when they denied the
Rasools. WE drowned them and made a sign
of warning for the entire mankind and WE have prepared a painful torment for
those cruel people (Zâliműn).
وَعَادًا
وَثَمُودَ
وَأَصْحَابَ
الرَّسِّ
وَقُرُونًا
بَيْنَ
ذَلِكَ
كَثِيرًا
38. WaAAadan
wathamooda waashaba alrrassi waquroonan bayna thalika katheeran
In the same way 'Ad and Thaműd, and the people of
Ar-Rass and many generations in between were destroyed.
وَكُلًّا
ضَرَبْنَا
لَهُ
الْأَمْثَالَ
وَكُلًّا
تَبَّرْنَا
تَتْبِيرًا
39. Wakullan
darabna lahu alamthala wakullan tabbarna tatbeeran
WE made each of them to understand by giving examples (of those who were
destroyed before them) and eventually destroyed each of them. And they have passed through that town on
which worst rain had been showered down.
وَلَقَدْ
أَتَوْا
عَلَى
الْقَرْيَةِ
الَّتِي
أُمْطِرَتْ
مَطَرَ
السَّوْءِ
أَفَلَمْ
يَكُونُوا
يَرَوْنَهَا
بَلْ كَانُوا
لَا يَرْجُونَ
نُشُورًا
40. Walaqad
ataw AAala alqaryati allatee omtirat matara alssawi afalam yakoonoo yarawnaha
bal kanoo la yarjoona nushooran
Shall they not have seen its condition (destruction)? But they do not expect another life after
death.
وَإِذَا
رَأَوْكَ إِن
يَتَّخِذُونَكَ
إِلَّا
هُزُوًا
أَهَذَا
الَّذِي
بَعَثَ اللَّهُ
رَسُولًا
41. Waitha
raawka in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahatha allathee baAAatha Allahu
rasoolan
When these people see you, they make fun of you (they
say): "Is this the person whom Allâh has sent as a Rasool?
إِن
كَادَ
لَيُضِلُّنَا
عَنْ
آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا
أَن صَبَرْنَا
عَلَيْهَا
وَسَوْفَ
يَعْلَمُونَ
حِينَ يَرَوْنَ
الْعَذَابَ
مَنْ أَضَلُّ
سَبِيلًا
42. In
kada layudilluna AAan alihatina lawla an sabarna
AAalayha wasawfa yaAAlamoona heena yarawna alAAathaba man adallu sabeelan
He would have turned us away from our deities (Ilâhan) if we had not remained
firm in their devotion." Well, that
time is not far away when they will know them-selves after seeing the torment
that who had gone far astray.
أَرَأَيْتَ
مَنِ
اتَّخَذَ
إِلَهَهُ
هَوَاهُ
أَفَأَنتَ
تَكُونُ
عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا
43. Araayta mani ittakhatha ilahahu hawahu afaanta takoonu
AAalayhi wakeelan
Have you ever thought about the condition of that person who has taken his/her
own desire as his/her deity (ilâh)? Can you
take the responsibility (Wakîl) to bring such person on the straight path?
أَمْ
تَحْسَبُ
أَنَّ
أَكْثَرَهُمْ
يَسْمَعُونَ
أَوْ
يَعْقِلُونَ
إِنْ هُمْ
إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ
بَلْ هُمْ
أَضَلُّ
سَبِيلًا
44. Am
tahsabu anna aktharahum yasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaalanAAami bal
hum adallu sabeelan
Do you think that most of these people hear and
understand? These are like animals, even
worse than animals. (R) 2
أَلَمْ
تَرَ إِلَى
رَبِّكَ
كَيْفَ مَدَّ
الظِّلَّ
وَلَوْ شَاء
لَجَعَلَهُ
سَاكِنًا
ثُمَّ
جَعَلْنَا
الشَّمْسَ
عَلَيْهِ
دَلِيلًا
45. Alam tara ila rabbika kayfa madda
alththilla walaw shaa lajaAAalahu sakinan thumma jaAAalna alshshamsa AAalayhi
daleelan
Have you not seen how your Râbb spreads out the shadow? If HE wanted, HE could have made it permanent
shadow. WE made the sun as an argument
on it,
ثُمَّ
قَبَضْنَاهُ
إِلَيْنَا
قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا
46. Thumma
qabadnahu ilayna qabdan yaseeran
Then (as the sun keeps rising) WE gradually fold this shadow back toward OURSELF.
وَهُوَ
الَّذِي
جَعَلَ
لَكُمُ
اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا
وَالنَّوْمَ
سُبَاتًا
وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ
نُشُورًا
47. Wahuwa
allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla libasan waalnnawma subatan wajaAAala alnnahara
nushooran
And HE is Allâh WHO has made the night a garment for you, and the sleep a
calmness of death, and the day to wake-up again (Nushűr).
وَهُوَ
الَّذِي
أَرْسَلَ
الرِّيَاحَ
بُشْرًا
بَيْنَ
يَدَيْ
رَحْمَتِهِ
وَأَنزَلْنَا
مِنَ
السَّمَاء
مَاء
طَهُورًا
48. Wahuwa
allathee arsala alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi waanzalna mina alssamai
maan tahooran
And HE is the One WHO sends the winds as bearer of glad tidings before HIS
Mercy (rain). Then sends down water from
the sky
لِنُحْيِيَ
بِهِ
بَلْدَةً
مَّيْتًا
وَنُسْقِيَهُ
مِمَّا خَلَقْنَا
أَنْعَامًا
وَأَنَاسِيَّ
كَثِيرًا
49. Linuhyiya
bihi baldatan maytan wanusqiyahu mimma khalaqna anAAaman waanasiyya katheeran
So that with it (HE may) give life to dead land and saturate (the thirst of)
many human and animals from HIS creation.
وَلَقَدْ
صَرَّفْنَاهُ
بَيْنَهُمْ
لِيَذَّكَّرُوا
فَأَبَى
أَكْثَرُ
النَّاسِ إِلَّا
كُفُورًا
50. Walaqad
sarrafnahu baynahum liyaththakkaroo faaba aktharu alnnasi illa kufooran
WE repeatedly bring this miracle before them so that they may learn some
lesson, but most of the people refuse to accept anything else except infidelity
(Kufr) and ingratitude.
وَلَوْ
شِئْنَا
لَبَعَثْنَا
فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ
نَذِيرًا
51. Walaw
shina labaAAathna fee kulli qaryatin natheeran
If WE wanted then (WE) would have raised a warner in each town.
فَلَا
تُطِعِ
الْكَافِرِينَ
وَجَاهِدْهُم
بِهِ
جِهَادًا
كَبِيرًا
52. Fala tutiAAi alkafireena wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabeeran
Therefore O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam), never obey the infidels (Kafir) and with this Al-Qur'ân strive hard (do Jihâd) against them (Kafir).
وَهُوَ
الَّذِي
مَرَجَ
الْبَحْرَيْنِ
هَذَا عَذْبٌ
فُرَاتٌ
وَهَذَا
مِلْحٌ
أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ
بَيْنَهُمَا
بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا
مَّحْجُورًا
53. Wahuwa allathee maraja albahrayni hatha AAathbun furatun
wahatha milhun ojajun wajaAAala baynahuma barzakhan wahijran mahjooran
And HE is the One WHO has united the two seas.
One tasty (yummy) and sweet -- the other salty and bitter. And there is a covering between both of
them. There is a barrier, which is
preventing them to merge.
وَهُوَ
الَّذِي
خَلَقَ مِنَ
الْمَاء
بَشَرًا
فَجَعَلَهُ
نَسَبًا
وَصِهْرًا
وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ
قَدِيرًا
54. Wahuwa allathee khalaqa mina almai basharan fajaAAalahu
nasaban wasihran wakana rabbuka qadeeran
And HE is the One WHO created a human from
the water, then from him set two separate chains of relationships of genealogy
(from blood) and father-in-law’s house (from marriage). Your Râbb is Sovereign.
وَيَعْبُدُونَ
مِن دُونِ
اللَّهِ مَا
لَا
يَنفَعُهُمْ
وَلَا
يَضُرُّهُمْ
وَكَانَ
الْكَافِرُ
عَلَى رَبِّهِ
ظَهِيرًا
55. WayaAAbudoona
min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakana alkafiru AAala
rabbihi thaheeran
Instead of that Allâh -- the people are worshipping those who can neither
benefit nor harm them, and in addition to it the infidels (Kafir) have become
the helper of every rebellious against his/her Râbb.
وَمَا
أَرْسَلْنَاكَ
إِلَّا
مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا
56. Wama
arsalnaka illa mubashshiran wanatheeran
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam) WE have sent you only as a bearer of good news and a
warner.
قُلْ مَا
أَسْأَلُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ
مِنْ أَجْرٍ
إِلَّا مَن
شَاء أَن
يَتَّخِذَ
إِلَى رَبِّهِ
سَبِيلًا
57. Qul
ma asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin illa man shaa an
yattakhitha ila rabbihi sabeelan
Tell them: "I do not ask any reward from you for this task, my reward is
only this -- that whosoever wants should adopt the path of his/her Râbb.”
وَتَوَكَّلْ
عَلَى
الْحَيِّ
الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ
وَسَبِّحْ
بِحَمْدِهِ
وَكَفَى بِهِ
بِذُنُوبِ
عِبَادِهِ
خَبِيرًا
58. Watawakkal
AAala alhayyi allathee la yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafa bihi bithunoobi
AAibadihi khabeeran
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam), trust in that Allâh WHO is Living and Eternal. Glorify HIM with HIS Praise. It is sufficient that HE Alone is aware of
the sins of HIS servants.
الَّذِي
خَلَقَ
السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَالْأَرْضَ
وَمَا
بَيْنَهُمَا
فِي سِتَّةِ
أَيَّامٍ
ثُمَّ
اسْتَوَى
عَلَى الْعَرْشِ
الرَّحْمَنُ
فَاسْأَلْ
بِهِ
خَبِيرًا
59. Allathee
khalaqa alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa
AAala alAAarshi alrrahmanu faisal bihi khabeeran
HE WHO created the skies and the earth and all that is between the skies and
the earth in six Days, then HE HIMSELF rose over the “Throne” (Istawâ). The Most Loving -- ask about HIS Glory from
the one who knows.
وَإِذَا
قِيلَ لَهُمُ
اسْجُدُوا
لِلرَّحْمَنِ
قَالُوا
وَمَا
الرَّحْمَنُ
أَنَسْجُدُ
لِمَا
تَأْمُرُنَا
وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا(Al-Sajjdah)
60. Waitha
qeela lahumu osjudoo lilrrahmani qaloo wama alrrahmanu anasjudu lima tamuruna wazadahum nufooran
When it is said to these people that prostrate before the Most Loving (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) they ask:
"What is the Most Loving? Shall we
just keep prostrating before the One about whom you desire”? This invitation even increases their hatred
more. (R) 3
تَبَارَكَ
الَّذِي
جَعَلَ فِي
السَّمَاء بُرُوجًا
وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا
سِرَاجًا
وَقَمَرًا
مُّنِيرًا
61. Tabaraka
allathee jaAAala fee alssamai buroojan wajaAAala feeha sirajan waqamaran
muneeran
Blessed is HE WHO built towers in the sky and lighted
a lamp and a shining moon in it.
وَهُوَ
الَّذِي
جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ
وَالنَّهَارَ
خِلْفَةً
لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ
أَن
يَذَّكَّرَ
أَوْ أَرَادَ
شُكُورًا
62. Wahuwa
allathee jaAAala allayla waalnnahara khilfatan liman arada an yaththakkara aw
arada shukooran
HE is the One WHO made the night and the day in succession, for each such
person who desires to learn a lesson, or (desires to) become thankful.
وَعِبَادُ
الرَّحْمَنِ
الَّذِينَ
يَمْشُونَ
عَلَى
الْأَرْضِ
هَوْنًا
وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ
الْجَاهِلُونَ
قَالُوا سَلَامًا
63. WaAAibadu
alrrahmani allatheena yamshoona AAala alardi hawnan waitha khatabahumu
aljahiloona qaloo salaman
The (real) servants of the Most Loving (Rahmân -- Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala) are those who walk humbly on the earth and
when the senseless people address them (with bad words) then they say good-bye
to you (reply in mild words).
وَالَّذِينَ
يَبِيتُونَ
لِرَبِّهِمْ
سُجَّدًا
وَقِيَامًا
64. Waallatheena
yabeetoona lirabbihim sujjadan waqiyaman
Who spend nights prostrating and standing before their
Râbb.
وَالَّذِينَ
يَقُولُونَ
رَبَّنَا
اصْرِفْ
عَنَّا
عَذَابَ
جَهَنَّمَ
إِنَّ
عَذَابَهَا
كَانَ
غَرَامًا
65. Waallatheena
yaqooloona rabbana isrif AAanna AAathaba jahannama inna AAathabaha kana
gharaman
Who pray: "O our Râbb, save us from the misery of
Hell, its torment is horrible,
إِنَّهَا
سَاءتْ
مُسْتَقَرًّا
وَمُقَامًا
66. Innaha
saat mustaqarran wamuqaman
It is an evil living and resting place."
وَالَّذِينَ
إِذَا
أَنفَقُوا
لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا
وَلَمْ
يَقْتُرُوا
وَكَانَ
بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ
قَوَامًا
67. Waallatheena
itha anfaqoo lam yusrifoo walam yaqturoo wakana bayna thalika qawaman
Who are neither spendthrifts nor penny-pinchers in
their spending, but their expenses are balanced between these two extremes.
وَالَّذِينَ
لَا
يَدْعُونَ
مَعَ اللَّهِ
إِلَهًا آخَرَ
وَلَا
يَقْتُلُونَ
النَّفْسَ
الَّتِي
حَرَّمَ
اللَّهُ
إِلَّا
بِالْحَقِّ
وَلَا يَزْنُونَ
وَمَن
يَفْعَلْ
ذَلِكَ
يَلْقَ أَثَامًا
68. Waallatheena
la yadAAoona maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara wala yaqtuloona alnnafsa allatee harrama
Allahu illa bialhaqqi wala yaznoona waman yafAAal thalika yalqa athaman
Who do not call upon any other deity (ilâh)
except Allâh (they) do not unjustly kill any soul which Allâh has forbidden,
and nor commit fornication/adultery (extramarital affair) -- whosoever does this he/she shall be recompensed for
his/her sin.
يُضَاعَفْ
لَهُ
الْعَذَابُ
يَوْمَ
الْقِيَامَةِ
وَيَخْلُدْ
فِيهِ
مُهَانًا
69. YudaAAaf lahu alAAathabu yawma
alqiyamati wayakhlud feehi muhanan
On the Day of Judgment, he/she will receive prescribed punishment and will
remain in it forever in humiliation.
إِلَّا
مَن تَابَ
وَآمَنَ
وَعَمِلَ
عَمَلًا
صَالِحًا
فَأُوْلَئِكَ
يُبَدِّلُ
اللَّهُ
سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ
حَسَنَاتٍ
وَكَانَ اللَّهُ
غَفُورًا
رَّحِيمًا
70. Illa man taba waamana waAAamila
AAamalan salihan faolaika yubaddilu Allahu sayyiatihim hasanatin wakana Allahu
ghafooran raheeman
Except that (if) a person has repented
(after these sins) and has started doing righteous deeds after bringing
Faith. Allâh will replace the sins of
such people with worthy deeds and HE is Most Forgiving and Loving.
وَمَن
تَابَ
وَعَمِلَ
صَالِحًا
فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ
إِلَى
اللَّهِ
مَتَابًا
71. Waman taba waAAamila salihan fainnahu yatoobu ila Allahi mataban
Whosoever adopts the way of righteousness after repentance, he/she returns
toward Allâh as one must--
وَالَّذِينَ
لَا
يَشْهَدُونَ
الزُّورَ وَإِذَا
مَرُّوا
بِاللَّغْوِ
مَرُّوا
كِرَامًا
72. Waallatheena
la yashhadoona alzzoora waitha marroo biallaghwi marroo kiraman
(And those are the servants of Most Loving) Who do not
become the bearer of witness to falsehood and if they ever pass by some evil
thing they pass by like a nobleman.
وَالَّذِينَ
إِذَا
ذُكِّرُوا
بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ
لَمْ
يَخِرُّوا
عَلَيْهَا
صُمًّا
وَعُمْيَانًا
73. Waallatheena
itha thukkiroo biayati rabbihim lam yakhirroo AAalayha summan waAAumyanan
If they are advised with the recitation from the Revelation of their Râbb, they
do not become (behave like) deaf and blind on it.
وَالَّذِينَ
يَقُولُونَ
رَبَّنَا
هَبْ لَنَا
مِنْ
أَزْوَاجِنَا
وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا
قُرَّةَ
أَعْيُنٍ
وَاجْعَلْنَا
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
إِمَامًا
74. Waallatheena yaqooloona rabbana hab lana min azwajina wathurriyyatina qurrata aAAyunin
waijAAalna lilmuttaqeena imaman
Who pray that: "O our Râbb, give us the comfort of eyes from our wives and
children and make us a leader of the righteous people (Muttaqűn)”.--
أُوْلَئِكَ
يُجْزَوْنَ
الْغُرْفَةَ
بِمَا
صَبَرُوا
وَيُلَقَّوْنَ
فِيهَا
تَحِيَّةً
وَسَلَامًا
75. Olaika
yujzawna alghurfata bima sabaroo wayulaqqawna feeha tahiyyatan wasalaman
These are the people -- who will get the fruit of their patience in the shape
of highest place. They will be greeted
with the words of peace and respect (will receive warm welcome).
خَالِدِينَ
فِيهَا
حَسُنَتْ
مُسْتَقَرًّا
وَمُقَامًا
76. Khalideena
feeha hasunat mustaqarran wamuqaman
They will stay therein forever, what an excellent
living, and resting-place is it?
قُلْ مَا
يَعْبَأُ
بِكُمْ
رَبِّي
لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ
فَقَدْ
كَذَّبْتُمْ
فَسَوْفَ
يَكُونُ
لِزَامًا
77. Qul
ma yaAAbao bikum rabbee lawla duAAaokum faqad kaththabtum fasawfa yakoonu
lizaman
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam) tell the people: "What desire my Râbb have of you if you do
not call upon HIM. Now that you have
denied, soon you will get that punishment from which it will be difficult to be
bailed-out (inevitable punishment)."

Bismi Allahi
alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most
Merciful
طسم
1. TaâSînMîm
(Taseenmeem -- these are prefixes, muqatta’at, only Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala, knows the meanings).
تِلْكَ
آيَاتُ
الْكِتَابِ
الْمُبِينِ
2. Tilka
ayatu alkitabi almubeeni
These are the verses of the Glorious Book.
لَعَلَّكَ
بَاخِعٌ
نَّفْسَكَ
أَلَّا
يَكُونُوا
مُؤْمِنِينَ
3. LaAAallaka
bakhiAAun nafsaka alla yakoonoo mumineena
O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam), perhaps you will loose your life with the grief that these
people do not bring Faith.
إِن
نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ
عَلَيْهِم
مِّن
السَّمَاء
آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ
أَعْنَاقُهُمْ
لَهَا
خَاضِعِينَ
4. In
nasha nunazzil AAalayhim mina alssamai ayatan fathallat aAAnaquhum laha
khadiAAeena
If WE want then WE can send down such sign from the sky that their necks would
bend (in submission) before it.
وَمَا
يَأْتِيهِم
مِّن ذِكْرٍ
مِّنَ الرَّحْمَنِ
مُحْدَثٍ
إِلَّا
كَانُوا
عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
5. Wama
yateehim min thikrin mina alrrahmani muhdathin illa kanoo AAanhu muAArideena
Whatever new advice comes to these people from the
Most Loving (Rahmân/Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala), they turn away their faces from it.
فَقَدْ
كَذَّبُوا
فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ
أَنبَاء مَا
كَانُوا بِهِ
يَسْتَهْزِئُون
6. Faqad
kaththaboo fasayateehim anbao ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona
Now that they have denied, soon they will come to know (through different ways)
the truth of that thing of which they have been making fun.
أَوَلَمْ
يَرَوْا
إِلَى
الْأَرْضِ
كَمْ أَنبَتْنَا
فِيهَا مِن
كُلِّ زَوْجٍ
كَرِيمٍ
7. Awa
lam yaraw ila alardi kam anbatna feeha min kulli
zawjin kareemin
And have they never looked at the earth that WE have created in abundance all
kinds of fine vegetation in it?
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
8. Inna
fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Surely, there is a sign in it, but most of them are
not going to accept.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
9. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the fact is that your Râbb is Omnipotent as well as the Most Merciful. (R) 5
وَإِذْ
نَادَى
رَبُّكَ
مُوسَى أَنِ
ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ
الظَّالِمِينَ
10. Waith
nada rabbuka moosa ani iti alqawma alththalimeena
Tell them about the incident of that time -- when your Râbb called Műsa
(saying): "Go to the cruel nation (Zâliműn) --
قَوْمَ
فِرْعَوْنَ
أَلَا
يَتَّقُونَ
11. Qawma
firAAawna ala yattaqoona
The nation of Fir'aun--Do they not fear”?
قَالَ
رَبِّ إِنِّي
أَخَافُ أَن
يُكَذِّبُونِ
12. Qala
rabbi innee akhafu an yukaththibooni
He replied: "O my Râbb, I fear that they will deny me.
وَيَضِيقُ
صَدْرِي
وَلَا
يَنطَلِقُ
لِسَانِي
فَأَرْسِلْ
إِلَى
هَارُونَ
13. Wayadeequ
sadree wala yantaliqu lisanee faarsil ila haroona
My breast squeezes and my tongue is not fluent.
YOU should send Prophethood toward Hârűn.
وَلَهُمْ
عَلَيَّ
ذَنبٌ
فَأَخَافُ
أَن يَقْتُلُونِ
14. Walahum
AAalayya thanbun faakhafu an yaqtulooni
And they also have a crime charge against me, therefore I fear that they will
kill me."
قَالَ
كَلَّا
فَاذْهَبَا
بِآيَاتِنَا
إِنَّا
مَعَكُم
مُّسْتَمِعُونَ
15. Qala
kalla faithhaba biayatina inna maAAakum mustamiAAoona
(Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala) Said: "Absolutely not, you both go with OUR Signs, WE shall
be listening everything with you.
فَأْتِيَا
فِرْعَوْنَ
فَقُولَا
إِنَّا رَسُولُ
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
16. Fatiya
firAAawna faqoola inna rasoolu rabbi alAAalameena
Go to Fir'aun and tell him: 'The Râbb of
the entire universe ('Alamîn) has send us
أَنْ
أَرْسِلْ
مَعَنَا
بَنِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ
17. An
arsil maAAana banee israeela
So allow the Children of Israel to go with us."
قَالَ
أَلَمْ
نُرَبِّكَ
فِينَا
وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ
فِينَا مِنْ
عُمُرِكَ
سِنِينَ
18. Qala
alam nurabbika feena waleedan walabithta feena min AAumurika sineena
Fir'aun said: "Did we not nourish you in our house -- when you were a
child? You spent many years of your age
with us,
وَفَعَلْتَ
فَعْلَتَكَ
الَّتِي
فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ
مِنَ
الْكَافِرِينَ
19. WafaAAalta
faAAlataka allatee faAAalta waanta mina alkafireena
And after that you did what you did, you are most
ungrateful person."
قَالَ
فَعَلْتُهَا
إِذًا
وَأَنَا مِنَ
الضَّالِّينَ
20. Qala
faAAaltuha ithan waana mina alddalleena
Műsa responded: "At that time I had
done it in ignorance.
فَفَرَرْتُ
مِنكُمْ
لَمَّا
خِفْتُكُمْ
فَوَهَبَ لِي
رَبِّي
حُكْمًا
وَجَعَلَنِي
مِنَ
الْمُرْسَلِينَ
21. Fafarartu
minkum lamma khiftukum fawahaba lee rabbee hukman wajaAAalanee mina almursaleena
Then I ran away because of your fear.
After that, my Râbb bestowed me wisdom (Hukman), and included me in
Rasools.
وَتِلْكَ
نِعْمَةٌ
تَمُنُّهَا
عَلَيَّ أَنْ
عَبَّدتَّ
بَنِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ
22. Watilka niAAmatun tamunnuha AAalayya an AAabbadta
banee israeela
As far as your favor with which you have informed me -- the fact of the matter
is that you had enslaved the Children of Israel."
قَالَ
فِرْعَوْنُ
وَمَا رَبُّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
23. Qala
firAAawnu wama rabbu alAAalameena
Fir'aun said: "And what is this Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nourisher/sustainer of
the entire world)”?
قَالَ
رَبُّ
السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَالْأَرْضِ
وَمَا
بَيْنَهُمَا
إن كُنتُم
مُّوقِنِينَ
24. Qala rabbu alssamawati waalardi wama
baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena
Műsa responded: "Râbb of the skies and the earth, and Râbb of all those
things which are in between skies and earth, if you are going to bring Faith”.
قَالَ
لِمَنْ
حَوْلَهُ
أَلَا
تَسْتَمِعُونَ
25. Qala
liman hawlahu ala tastamiAAoona
Fir'aun said to those people who were around him: "Do you hear”?
قَالَ
رَبُّكُمْ
وَرَبُّ
آبَائِكُمُ
الْأَوَّلِينَ
26. Qala
rabbukum warabbu abaikumu alawwaleena
Műsa said: "Your Râbb as well as Râbb of your forefathers who have passed
away”.
قَالَ
إِنَّ
رَسُولَكُمُ
الَّذِي
أُرْسِلَ
إِلَيْكُمْ
لَمَجْنُونٌ
27. Qala
inna rasoolakumu allathee orsila ilaykum lamajnoonun
Fir'aun said (to the audience): "This Rasool of yours -- who has been sent
toward you, looks like completely mad person."
قَالَ
رَبُّ
الْمَشْرِقِ
وَالْمَغْرِبِ
وَمَا
بَيْنَهُمَا
إِن كُنتُمْ
تَعْقِلُونَ
28. Qala
rabbu almashriqi waalmaghribi wama baynahuma in kuntum taAAqiloona
Műsa said: "Râbb of the east and the west and all that is between them, if
you people have any commonsense”.
قَالَ
لَئِنِ
اتَّخَذْتَ
إِلَهًا
غَيْرِي لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ
مِنَ
الْمَسْجُونِينَ
29. Qala
laini ittakhathta ilahan ghayree laajAAalannaka mina almasjooneena
Fir'aun said: "If you take anyone else as a deity (ilâh) except me then I
will send you among those people who are getting worse in prison”.
قَالَ
أَوَلَوْ
جِئْتُكَ
بِشَيْءٍ
مُّبِينٍ
30. Qala
awa law jituka bishayin mubeenin
Műsa responded: "Even if I bring clear sign before you”?
قَالَ
فَأْتِ بِهِ
إِن كُنتَ
مِنَ
الصَّادِقِينَ
31. Qala
fati bihi in kunta mina alssadiqeena
Fir'aun said: "Well, then bring it, if you are truthful”.
فَأَلْقَى
عَصَاهُ
فَإِذَا هِيَ
ثُعْبَانٌ
مُّبِينٌ
32. Faalqa
AAasahu faitha hiya thuAAbanun mubeenun
(Hearing this word from his mouth) Műsa threw his stick and all of sudden it
was a real dragon.
وَنَزَعَ
يَدَهُ
فَإِذَا هِيَ
بَيْضَاء لِلنَّاظِرِينَ
33. WanazaAAa
yadahu faitha hiya baydao lilnnathireena
Then he drew out his hand (from the armpit) and it was glowing white in front
of all the spectators. (R) 6
قَالَ
لِلْمَلَإِ
حَوْلَهُ
إِنَّ هَذَا
لَسَاحِرٌ
عَلِيمٌ
34. Qala
lilmalai hawlahu inna hatha lasahirun AAaleemun
Fir'aun said to the chiefs around him: "This person is indeed an
experienced magician.
يُرِيدُ
أَن
يُخْرِجَكُم
مِّنْ
أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِ
فَمَاذَا
تَأْمُرُونَ
35. Yureedu
an yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihi famatha tamuroona
(He) Wants to drive you out of your land with the power of his magic. Now tell what do you command”?
قَالُوا
أَرْجِهِ
وَأَخَاهُ
وَابْعَثْ فِي
الْمَدَائِنِ
حَاشِرِينَ
36. Qaloo
arjih waakhahu waibAAath fee almadaini hashireena
They said: "Detain him and his brother and send
the callers to the cities
يَأْتُوكَ
بِكُلِّ
سَحَّارٍ
عَلِيمٍ
37. Yatooka
bikulli sahharin AAaleemin
To bring you every knowledgeable magician."
فَجُمِعَ
السَّحَرَةُ
لِمِيقَاتِ
يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
38. FajumiAAa
alssaharatu limeeqati yawmin maAAloomin
Therefore one day at appointed time all the magicians were gathered
وَقِيلَ
لِلنَّاسِ
هَلْ أَنتُم
مُّجْتَمِعُونَ
39. Waqeela
lilnnasi hal antum mujtamiAAoona
And it was said to the people: "Will you go to
the assembly?
لَعَلَّنَا
نَتَّبِعُ
السَّحَرَةَ
إِن كَانُوا
هُمُ
الْغَالِبِينَ
40. LaAAallana
nattabiAAu alssaharata in kanoo humu alghalibeena
Perhaps we may remain on the religion of magicians if they turn to be the
winners."
فَلَمَّا
جَاء
السَّحَرَةُ
قَالُوا
لِفِرْعَوْنَ
أَئِنَّ
لَنَا
لَأَجْرًا
إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ
الْغَالِبِينَ
41. Falamma
jaa alssaharatu qaloo lifirAAawna ainna lana laajran
in kunna nahnu alghalibeena
When the magicians came for the contest, they asked Fir'aun: "Will we be
rewarded if we happened to be victorious”?
قَالَ
نَعَمْ
وَإِنَّكُمْ
إِذًا
لَّمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
42. Qala
naAAam wainnakum ithan lamina almuqarrabeena
He said: "Yes, and you will be then included among the chosen ones (in my
court).”
قَالَ
لَهُم
مُّوسَى
أَلْقُوا مَا
أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ
43. Qala
lahum moosa alqoo ma antum mulqoona
Műsa said: "Throw what you have to throw”.
فَأَلْقَوْا
حِبَالَهُمْ
وَعِصِيَّهُمْ
وَقَالُوا
بِعِزَّةِ
فِرْعَوْنَ
إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ
الْغَالِبُونَ
44. Faalqaw
hibalahum waAAisiyyahum waqaloo biAAizzati firAAawna inna lanahnu alghaliboona
They immediately threw their ropes and sticks and
said: "By Fir'aun’s honor we will be victorious”.
فَأَلْقَى
مُوسَى
عَصَاهُ
فَإِذَا هِيَ
تَلْقَفُ مَا
يَأْفِكُونَ
45. Faalqa
moosa AAasahu faitha hiya talqafu ma yafikoona
Then Műsa threw his stick and it suddenly was swallowing-up all their false
charms.
فَأُلْقِيَ
السَّحَرَةُ
سَاجِدِينَ
46. Faolqiya alssaharatu sajideena
On this all the magicians helplessly fell down in
prostration
قَالُوا
آمَنَّا
بِرَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
47. Qaloo
amanna birabbi alAAalameena
And cried out: "We have believed in the
Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nourisher/sustainer of the entire world) --
رَبِّ
مُوسَى
وَهَارُونَ
48. Rabbi
moosa waharoona
The Râbb of Műsa and Hârűn."
قَالَ
آمَنتُمْ
لَهُ قَبْلَ
أَنْ آذَنَ
لَكُمْ
إِنَّهُ
لَكَبِيرُكُمُ
الَّذِي
عَلَّمَكُمُ
السِّحْرَ
فَلَسَوْفَ
تَعْلَمُونَ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ
أَيْدِيَكُمْ
وَأَرْجُلَكُم
مِّنْ
خِلَافٍ
وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ
أَجْمَعِينَ
49. Qala
amantum lahu qabla an athana lakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu
alssihra falasawfa taAAlamoona laoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min
khilafin walaosallibannakum ajmaAAeena
Fir'aun said: "You accepted the word of Műsa before it that I would have
given you permission! Certainly, he is
your chief who has taught you magic!
Well, soon you will come to know, (when) I shall have your hands and
feet cut-off from the opposite sides and shall crucify you all."
قَالُوا
لَا ضَيْرَ
إِنَّا إِلَى
رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ
50. Qaloo
la dayra inna ila rabbina munqaliboona
They replied: "(We) Don’t care, we will return to our Râbb.
إِنَّا
نَطْمَعُ أَن
يَغْفِرَ
لَنَا رَبُّنَا
خَطَايَانَا
أَن كُنَّا
أَوَّلَ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
51. Inna
natmaAAu an yaghfira lana rabbuna khatayana an kunna awwala almumineena
And we hope that our Râbb will forgive us our sins, because we are the first to
bring Faith. (R) 7
وَأَوْحَيْنَا
إِلَى مُوسَى
أَنْ أَسْرِ
بِعِبَادِي
إِنَّكُم
مُّتَّبَعُونَ
52. Waawhayna
ila moosa an asri biAAibadee innakum muttabaAAoona
WE sent revelation to Műsa saying: "Leave with MY servants during the
night, you will be chased."
فَأَرْسَلَ
فِرْعَوْنُ
فِي الْمَدَائِنِ
حَاشِرِينَ
53. Faarsala
firAAawnu fee almadaini hashireena
On this Fir'aun sent callers to the cities (to
assemble the armies).
إِنَّ
هَؤُلَاء
لَشِرْذِمَةٌ
قَلِيلُونَ
54. Inna
haolai lashirthimatun qaleeloona
(Saying): "These are small number of people,
وَإِنَّهُمْ
لَنَا
لَغَائِظُونَ
55. Wainnahum
lana laghaithoona
And they have offended us much,
وَإِنَّا
لَجَمِيعٌ
حَاذِرُونَ
56. Wainna
lajameeAAun hathiroona
And we are such a group whose task is to be vigilant
all the time.”
فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُم
مِّن
جَنَّاتٍ
وَعُيُونٍ
57. Faakhrajnahum
min jannatin waAAuyoonin
This is how WE brought them out from their gardens and
springs,
وَكُنُوزٍ
وَمَقَامٍ
كَرِيمٍ
58.
Wakunoozin wamaqamin kareemin
And treasures and their fine dwellings.
كَذَلِكَ
وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا
بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ
59. Kathalika
waawrathnaha banee israeela
This is what happened with them, and (on the other
hand) WE made the Children of Israel to inherit all those things.
فَأَتْبَعُوهُم
مُّشْرِقِينَ
60. FaatbaAAoohum
mushriqeena
As the sun emerged these people pursued them.
فَلَمَّا
تَرَاءى
الْجَمْعَانِ
قَالَ أَصْحَابُ
مُوسَى
إِنَّا
لَمُدْرَكُونَ
61. Falamma
taraa aljamAAani qala ashabu moosa inna lamudrakoona
When the two crowds came face-to-face with each other
then the companions of Műsa cried out: "We are caught."
قَالَ
كَلَّا إِنَّ
مَعِيَ
رَبِّي
سَيَهْدِينِ
62. Qala
kalla inna maAAiya rabbee sayahdeeni
Műsa said: "Absolutely not. With me
is my Râbb. HE certainly will guide
me."
فَأَوْحَيْنَا
إِلَى مُوسَى
أَنِ اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ
الْبَحْرَ
فَانفَلَقَ
فَكَانَ كُلُّ
فِرْقٍ
كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ
63. Faawhayna
ila moosa ani idrib biAAasaka albahra fainfalaqa fakana kullu firqin kaalttawdi
alAAatheemi
WE commanded Műsa through Revelation (saying): "Strike your stick on the
sea”. All of sudden the sea divided and
its each part became like a mighty mountain.
وَأَزْلَفْنَا
ثَمَّ
الْآخَرِينَ
64. Waazlafna
thamma alakhareena
WE brought other group closer to the same place.
وَأَنجَيْنَا
مُوسَى وَمَن
مَّعَهُ
أَجْمَعِينَ
65. Waanjayna
moosa waman maAAahu ajmaAAeena
WE saved Műsa and all those people who were with him.
ثُمَّ
أَغْرَقْنَا
الْآخَرِينَ
66. Thumma
aghraqna alakhareena
And drowned the others.
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
67. Inna
fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
There is a sign in this incident, but most of these
people are not going to believe.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
68. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the fact is that your Râbb is Omnipotent as well as Loving. (R) 8
وَاتْلُ
عَلَيْهِمْ
نَبَأَ
إِبْرَاهِيمَ
69. Waotlu
AAalayhim nabaa ibraheema
And tell them about the incident of Ibrâhim
إِذْ
قَالَ
لِأَبِيهِ
وَقَوْمِهِ
مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
70. Ith
qala liabeehi waqawmihi ma taAAbudoona
When he asked from his father and the people of his
nation: "What are these things that you worship?"
قَالُوا
نَعْبُدُ
أَصْنَامًا
فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا
عَاكِفِينَ
71. Qaloo
naAAbudu asnaman fanathallu laha AAakifeena
They replied: "These are some idols which we
worship and we keep serving them”.
قَالَ
هَلْ
يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ
إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
72. Qala
hal yasmaAAoonakum ith tadAAoona
He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them?
أَوْ
يَنفَعُونَكُمْ
أَوْ
يَضُرُّونَ
73. Aw
yanfaAAoonakum aw yadurroona
Or do they benefit or harm you”?
قَالُوا
بَلْ
وَجَدْنَا
آبَاءنَا
كَذَلِكَ
يَفْعَلُونَ
74. Qaloo
bal wajadna abaana kathalika yafAAaloona
They replied: "No, but we have found our forefathers doing so."
قَالَ
أَفَرَأَيْتُم
مَّا كُنتُمْ
تَعْبُدُونَ
75. Qala
afaraaytum ma kuntum taAAbudoona
Then Ibrâhim asked: "Have you ever seen (with open eyes) that thing which
أَنتُمْ
وَآبَاؤُكُمُ
الْأَقْدَمُونَ
76. Antum
waabaokumu alaqdamoona
You and your forefathers have been worshipping?
فَإِنَّهُمْ
عَدُوٌّ لِّي
إِلَّا رَبَّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
77. Fainnahum
AAaduwwun lee illa rabba alAAalameena
They all are my enemies, except one Râbb-ul-'Alamîn
(nourisher/sustainer of the world),
الَّذِي
خَلَقَنِي
فَهُوَ
يَهْدِينِ
78. Allathee
khalaqanee fahuwa yahdeeni
WHO created me, then HE is the One WHO guides me.
وَالَّذِي
هُوَ
يُطْعِمُنِي
وَيَسْقِينِ
79. Waallathee
huwa yutAAimunee wayasqeeni
The One WHO feeds me and gives me to drink.
وَإِذَا
مَرِضْتُ
فَهُوَ
يَشْفِينِ
80. Waitha
maridtu fahuwa yashfeeni
And when I get sick, HE is the One WHO cures me.
وَالَّذِي
يُمِيتُنِي
ثُمَّ
يُحْيِينِ
81. Waallathee
yumeetunee thumma yuhyeeni
(The One) WHO will cause me to die and then will bring me to life again.
وَالَّذِي
أَطْمَعُ أَن
يَغْفِرَ لِي
خَطِيئَتِي
يَوْمَ
الدِّينِ
82. Waallathee
atmaAAu an yaghfira lee khateeatee yawma alddeeni
And with WHOM I have hoped that HE will forgive me my
mistakes on the Day of Recompense,"
رَبِّ
هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا
وَأَلْحِقْنِي
بِالصَّالِحِينَ
83. Rabbi
hab lee hukman waalhiqnee bialssaliheena
(After this Ibrâhim prayed) “O my Râbb, grant me wisdom (Hukman). And unite me with
the righteous.
وَاجْعَل
لِّي لِسَانَ
صِدْقٍ فِي
الْآخِرِينَ
84. WaijAAal
lee lisana sidqin fee alakhireena
And grant me the real honor among the later generations.
وَاجْعَلْنِي
مِن وَرَثَةِ
جَنَّةِ
النَّعِيمِ
85. WaijAAalnee
min warathati jannati alnnaAAeemi
And admit me among the inheritors of the blissful Paradise.
وَاغْفِرْ
لِأَبِي
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ مِنَ
الضَّالِّينَ
86. Waighfir
liabee innahu kana mina alddalleena
And forgive my father -- no doubt he is from among the
people in error
وَلَا
تُخْزِنِي
يَوْمَ
يُبْعَثُونَ
87. Wala
tukhzinee yawma yubAAathoona
And do not disgrace me on that Day when the entire
mankind will be raised to life again.
يَوْمَ
لَا يَنفَعُ
مَالٌ وَلَا
بَنُونَ
88. Yawma
la yanfaAAu malun wala banoona
When neither the wealth will benefit nor the
offspring,
إِلَّا
مَنْ أَتَى
اللَّهَ
بِقَلْبٍ
سَلِيمٍ
89. Illa
man ata Allaha biqalbin saleemin
Except that a person should come before Allâh with piety in the heart.”
وَأُزْلِفَتِ
الْجَنَّةُ
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
90. Waozlifati
aljannatu lilmuttaqeena
(That Day) The Paradise will be brought near to the pious people (Muttaqűn).
وَبُرِّزَتِ
الْجَحِيمُ
لِلْغَاوِينَ
91. Waburrizati
aljaheemu lilghaweena
And the Hell will be opened before the people in error.
وَقِيلَ
لَهُمْ أَيْنَ
مَا كُنتُمْ
تَعْبُدُونَ
92. Waqeela
lahum ayna ma kuntum taAAbudoona
And they will be asked: "Now where are those whom
you used to worship
مِن دُونِ
اللَّهِ هَلْ
يَنصُرُونَكُمْ
أَوْ
يَنتَصِرُونَ
93. Min
dooni Allahi hal yansuroonakum aw yantasiroona
Except Allâh? Are they helping you in
anyway or can even save them”?
فَكُبْكِبُوا
فِيهَا هُمْ
وَالْغَاوُونَ
94. Fakubkiboo
feeha hum waalghawoona
Then those deities and the people in error, and the
armies of Iblîs (Satan) all together
وَجُنُودُ
إِبْلِيسَ
أَجْمَعُونَ
95. Wajunoodu
ibleesa ajmaAAoona
Will be thrown into it one upon the other.
قَالُوا
وَهُمْ
فِيهَا
يَخْتَصِمُونَ
96. Qaloo
wahum feeha yakhtasimoona
There they all will fight with each other,
تَاللَّهِ
إِن كُنَّا
لَفِي
ضَلَالٍ
مُّبِينٍ
97. TaAllahi
in kunna lafee dalalin mubeenin
And the people in error will say (to their deities):
“By Allâh we were clearly in error,
إِذْ
نُسَوِّيكُم
بِرَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
98. Ith
nusawweekum birabbi alAAalameena
When we were giving you equal rank to the
Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nourisher/sustainer of the entire world)
وَمَا
أَضَلَّنَا
إِلَّا
الْمُجْرِمُونَ
99. Wama
adallana illa almujrimoona
And they were the criminals (Mujriműn) who put us in
this error.
فَمَا
لَنَا مِن
شَافِعِينَ
100. Fama
lana min shafiAAeena
Now we neither have any intercessor
وَلَا
صَدِيقٍ
حَمِيمٍ
101. Wala
sadeeqin hameemin
Nor any loving friend.
فَلَوْ
أَنَّ لَنَا
كَرَّةً
فَنَكُونَ
مِنَ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
102. Falaw
anna lana karratan fanakoona mina almumineena
Would that! We could get another chance
to return (to the world) then we would be the believers.”
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
103. Inna
fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Certainly there is a great sign in it but most of the
people among them are not going to bring Faith.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
104. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the truth is that your Râbb is Omnipotent as well as Loving. (R) 9
كَذَّبَتْ
قَوْمُ نُوحٍ
الْمُرْسَلِينَ
105. Kaththabat
qawmu noohin almursaleena
The nation of Nűh rejected the Rasools.
إِذْ
قَالَ لَهُمْ
أَخُوهُمْ
نُوحٌ أَلَا
تَتَّقُونَ
106. Ith
qala lahum akhoohum noohun ala tattaqoona
Recall when their brother Nűh said to them: "Don’t you fear?
إِنِّي
لَكُمْ
رَسُولٌ
أَمِينٌ
107. Innee
lakum rasoolun ameenun
I am a trustworthy Rasool to you,
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
108. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
Therefore, you fear Allâh and obey me.
وَمَا
أَسْأَلُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ
مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ
أَجْرِيَ
إِلَّا عَلَى
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
109. Wama
asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
I do not desire any reward from you for this task. My reward is with the Râbb-ul-'Alamîn
(nourisher/sustainer of the entire world).
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
110. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
So you fear Allâh and (without any hesitation) obey
me."
قَالُوا
أَنُؤْمِنُ
لَكَ
وَاتَّبَعَكَ
الْأَرْذَلُونَ
111. Qaloo
anuminu laka waittabaAAaka alarthaloona
They replied: "Should we embrace you, whereas the
most inferior people have adopted your path?"
قَالَ
وَمَا
عِلْمِي
بِمَا
كَانُوا
يَعْمَلُونَ
112. Qala
wama AAilmee bima kanoo yaAAmaloona
Nűh responded: "What do I know how their deeds
are,
إِنْ
حِسَابُهُمْ
إِلَّا عَلَى
رَبِّي لَوْ
تَشْعُرُونَ
113. In
hisabuhum illa AAala rabbee law tashAAuroona
Their account is with my Râbb, would that you could
use commonsense.
وَمَا
أَنَا
بِطَارِدِ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
114. Wama
ana bitaridi almumineena
It is not my job that I drive those (people) away who
bring Faith.
إِنْ
أَنَا إِلَّا
نَذِيرٌ
مُّبِينٌ
115. In
ana illa natheerun mubeenun
I am only a person who warns plainly and clearly.
قَالُوا
لَئِن لَّمْ
تَنتَهِ يَا
نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ
مِنَ
الْمَرْجُومِينَ
116. Qaloo
lain lam tantahi ya noohu latakoonanna mina
almarjoomeena
They said: O Nűh, "If you do not stop then you will become one of the
accursed."
قَالَ
رَبِّ إِنَّ
قَوْمِي
كَذَّبُونِ
117. Qala
rabbi inna qawmee kaththabooni
Nűh prayed: "O my Râbb, my nation has rejected me.
فَافْتَحْ
بَيْنِي
وَبَيْنَهُمْ
فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي
وَمَن مَّعِي
مِنَ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
118. Faiftah
baynee wabaynahum fathan wanajjinee waman maAAiya mina almumineena
Now give clear verdict between me and them and rescue
me and those believers who are with me."
فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ
وَمَن
مَّعَهُ فِي
الْفُلْكِ
الْمَشْحُونِ
119. Faanjaynahu
waman maAAahu fee alfulki almashhooni
Eventually, WE saved him and those with him in the fully loaded boat.
ثُمَّ
أَغْرَقْنَا
بَعْدُ
الْبَاقِينَ
120. Thumma
aghraqna baAAdu albaqeena
And after that drowned the rest of the people.
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
121. Inna
fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Certainly, there is a sign in it, but most of them are
not going to believe.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
122. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the truth is that your Râbb is Omnipotent as well as Loving. (R) 10
كَذَّبَتْ
عَادٌ
الْمُرْسَلِينَ
123. Kaththabat
AAadun almursaleena
'Ad (the people of 'Ad) denied the Rasools.
إِذْ
قَالَ لَهُمْ
أَخُوهُمْ
هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
124. Ith
qala lahum akhoohum hoodun ala tattaqoona
Recall when their brother Hűd asked them: "Don’t you fear (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)?
إِنِّي
لَكُمْ
رَسُولٌ
أَمِينٌ
125. Innee
lakum rasoolun ameenun
I am a trustworthy Rasool to you.
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
126. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
Therefore, you fear Allâh and obey me.
وَمَا
أَسْأَلُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ
مِنْ أَجْرٍ
إِنْ أَجْرِيَ
إِلَّا عَلَى
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
127. Wama
asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
I do not desire any reward from you for this task. My reward is only with the Râbb-ul-'Alamîn
(nourisher/sustainer of the entire world).
أَتَبْنُونَ
بِكُلِّ
رِيعٍ آيَةً
تَعْبَثُونَ
128. Atabnoona
bikulli reeAAin ayatan taAAbathoona
What is (wrong) with you that you build useless
monument (memorial building) on every high place?
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ
مَصَانِعَ
لَعَلَّكُمْ
تَخْلُدُونَ
129. Watattakhithoona
masaniAAa laAAallakum takhludoona
And build huge palaces, as you have to live forever.
وَإِذَا
بَطَشْتُم
بَطَشْتُمْ
جَبَّارِينَ
130. Waitha
batashtum batashtum jabbareena
And when you seize a person, you do it like a tyrant.
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
131. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
So, you people should fear Allâh and obey me.
وَاتَّقُوا
الَّذِي
أَمَدَّكُم
بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ
132. Waittaqoo
allathee amaddakum bima taAAlamoona
Fear HIM WHO has given you all that (good) which you know.
أَمَدَّكُم
بِأَنْعَامٍ
وَبَنِينَ
133. Amaddakum
bianAAamin wabaneena
(HE) Has given you animals, children.
وَجَنَّاتٍ
وَعُيُونٍ
134. Wajannatin
waAAuyoonin
And (HE has given you) Gardens and water-springs.
إِنِّي
أَخَافُ
عَلَيْكُمْ
عَذَابَ
يَوْمٍ
عَظِيمٍ
135. Innee
akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
I have fear of punishment of a terrible Day for you."
قَالُوا
سَوَاء
عَلَيْنَا
أَوَعَظْتَ
أَمْ لَمْ
تَكُن مِّنَ
الْوَاعِظِينَ
136. Qaloo
sawaon AAalayna awaAAathta am lam takun mina
alwaAAitheena
They replied: "Whether you advise or not, all is same for us.
إِنْ
هَذَا إِلَّا
خُلُقُ
الْأَوَّلِينَ
137. In
hatha illa khuluqu alawwaleena
These things have been said in the past as well.
وَمَا
نَحْنُ
بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
138. Wama
nahnu bimuAAaththabeena
And we are not going to be punished."
فَكَذَّبُوهُ
فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
139. Fakaththaboohu
faahlaknahum inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Finally they denied him and WE destroyed them.
Certainly there is a sign in it, but most of the people among them are not
going to believe.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
140. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the fact is that your Râbb is Omnipotent as
well as Most Loving. (R) 11
كَذَّبَتْ
ثَمُودُ
الْمُرْسَلِينَ
141. Kaththabat
thamoodu almursaleena
Thaműd (the people of Thaműd) denied the Rasools.
إِذْ
قَالَ لَهُمْ
أَخُوهُمْ
صَالِحٌ أَلَا
تَتَّقُونَ
142. Ith
qala lahum akhoohum salihun ala tattaqoona
Recall when their brother Sâlih asked them: "Don’t you fear (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)?
إِنِّي
لَكُمْ
رَسُولٌ
أَمِينٌ
143. Innee
lakum rasoolun ameenun
I am a trustworthy Rasool to you.
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
144. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
Therefore, you fear Allâh and obey me.
وَمَا
أَسْأَلُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ
مِنْ أَجْرٍ
إِنْ أَجْرِيَ
إِلَّا عَلَى
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
145. Wama
asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
I do not want any reward from you for this task -- my reward is with the
Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nourisher/sustainer of the entire world).
أَتُتْرَكُونَ
فِي مَا
هَاهُنَا
آمِنِينَ
146. Atutrakoona
fee ma hahuna amineena
Will you be left only in peace among all those things -- which are here?
فِي
جَنَّاتٍ
وَعُيُونٍ
147. Fee
jannatin waAAuyoonin
Among these gardens and water-spring?
وَزُرُوعٍ
وَنَخْلٍ
طَلْعُهَا
هَضِيمٌ
148. WazurooAAin
wanakhlin talAAuha hadeemun
Among these fields (green crops) and date-trees whose
bunches are full with juicy fruits?
وَتَنْحِتُونَ
مِنَ الْجِبَالِ
بُيُوتًا
فَارِهِينَ
149. Watanhitoona
mina aljibali buyootan fariheena
You chisel the mountains and proudly build buildings in
them (mountains).
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
150. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
Fear Allâh and obey me.
وَلَا
تُطِيعُوا
أَمْرَ
الْمُسْرِفِينَ
151. Wala
tuteeAAoo amra almusrifeena
Do not follow the command of the rebellion people
(Al-Musrifűn).
الَّذِينَ
يُفْسِدُونَ
فِي
الْأَرْضِ
وَلَا
يُصْلِحُونَ
152. Allatheena
yufsidoona fee alardi wala yuslihoona
Who originate mischief in the land and do not do any
reform."
قَالُوا
إِنَّمَا
أَنتَ مِنَ
الْمُسَحَّرِينَ
153. Qaloo
innama anta mina almusahhareena
They replied: "You are a person just under a
magic spell.
مَا أَنتَ
إِلَّا
بَشَرٌ
مِّثْلُنَا
فَأْتِ
بِآيَةٍ إِن
كُنتَ مِنَ
الصَّادِقِينَ
154. Ma anta illa basharun mithluna fati biayatin
in kunta mina alssadiqeena
What are you -- except a human like us?
Bring any sign if you are truthful."
قَالَ
هَذِهِ
نَاقَةٌ
لَّهَا
شِرْبٌ
وَلَكُمْ
شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ
مَّعْلُومٍ
155. Qala hathihi naqatun laha shirbun walakum shirbu
yawmin maAAloomin
Sâlih said: "Here is a female-camel.
One day is for her to drink and one day is for you all to get water.
وَلَا
تَمَسُّوهَا
بِسُوءٍ
فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ
عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ
عَظِيمٍ
156. Wala
tamassooha bisooin fayakhuthakum AAathabu yawmin AAatheemin
Never touch her (harm her) -- otherwise torment of a terrible day will seize
you."
فَعَقَرُوهَا
فَأَصْبَحُوا
نَادِمِينَ
157. FaAAaqarooha
faasbahoo nadimeena
But they cut-off her legs (crippled her) and finally they kept regretting.
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
الْعَذَابُ
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
158. Faakhathahumu
alAAathabu inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
The torment seized them. Certainly there
is a sign in it, but most of them are not going to believe.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
159. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the fact is that your Râbb is Powerful as well as Loving. (R) 12
كَذَّبَتْ
قَوْمُ لُوطٍ
الْمُرْسَلِينَ
160. Kaththabat
qawmu lootin almursaleena
The nation of Lout denied the Rasools.
إِذْ
قَالَ لَهُمْ
أَخُوهُمْ
لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
161. Ith
qala lahum akhoohum lootun ala tattaqoona
Recall when their brother Lout had asked them: "Don’t you fear (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)?
إِنِّي
لَكُمْ
رَسُولٌ
أَمِينٌ
162. Innee
lakum rasoolun ameenun
I am a trustworthy Rasool to you.
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
163. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
Therefore, you fear Allâh and obey me.
وَمَا
أَسْأَلُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ
مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ
أَجْرِيَ
إِلَّا عَلَى
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
164. Wama
asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
I do not desire any reward from you for this task -- my reward is with the
Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nourisher/sustainer of the entire world).
أَتَأْتُونَ
الذُّكْرَانَ
مِنَ
الْعَالَمِينَ
165. Atatoona
alththukrana mina alAAalameena
"Do you go to males (homosexuals/gays) from
the creatures of the world ('Alamîn),
وَتَذَرُونَ
مَا خَلَقَ
لَكُمْ
رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ
أَزْوَاجِكُم
بَلْ أَنتُمْ
قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ
166. Watatharoona
ma khalaqa lakum rabbukum min azwajikum bal antum qawmun AAadoona
And leave that which your Râbb has created for you in your wives? Though, you people have crossed all the
limits."
قَالُوا
لَئِن لَّمْ
تَنتَهِ يَا
لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ
مِنَ
الْمُخْرَجِينَ
167. Qaloo
lain lam tantahi ya lootu latakoonanna mina
almukhrajeena
They replied: "O Lout, if you do not stop this then you will be included
among those people who have been driven out from our towns"
قَالَ
إِنِّي
لِعَمَلِكُم
مِّنَ
الْقَالِينَ
168. Qala
innee liAAamalikum mina alqaleena
He responded: "I am one of those people who are grieving on your
wrong-doings.
رَبِّ
نَجِّنِي
وَأَهْلِي
مِمَّا
يَعْمَلُونَ
169. Rabbi
najjinee waahlee mimma yaAAmaloona
O Râbb, liberate my family members and me from their wrong doings.
فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ
وَأَهْلَهُ
أَجْمَعِينَ
170. Fanajjaynahu
waahlahu ajmaAAeena
Eventually, WE saved him and all his family members,
إِلَّا
عَجُوزًا فِي
الْغَابِرِينَ
171. Illa
AAajoozan fee alghabireena
Except an old woman (his wife), who was among those who were
left behind.
ثُمَّ
دَمَّرْنَا
الْآخَرِينَ
172. Thumma
dammarna alakhareena
Then WE destroyed all the remaining people
وَأَمْطَرْنَا
عَلَيْهِم
مَّطَرًا
فَسَاء
مَطَرُ
الْمُنذَرِينَ
173. Waamtarna
AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena
And (WE) showered rain on them; it was horrible rain, which was sent down on
those who had been warned.
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
174. Inna
fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Certainly, there is a sign in it, but most of them are
not going to believe.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
175. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the fact is that your Râbb is Omnipotent as well as Loving. (R) 13
كَذَّبَ
أَصْحَابُ
الْأَيْكَةِ
الْمُرْسَلِينَ
176. Kaththaba
ashabu alaykati almursaleena
The people of Al-Aiyka (nation near Madyan or Midian)
denied the Rasools.
إِذْ
قَالَ لَهُمْ
شُعَيْبٌ
أَلَا
تَتَّقُونَ
177. Ith
qala lahum shuAAaybun ala tattaqoona
Recall when Shu’aib had asked them: "Don’t you fear (Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)?
إِنِّي
لَكُمْ
رَسُولٌ
أَمِينٌ
178. Innee
lakum rasoolun ameenun
I am a trustworthy Rasool to you.
فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَأَطِيعُونِ
179. Faittaqoo
Allaha waateeAAooni
Therefore, you fear Allâh and obey me.
وَمَا
أَسْأَلُكُمْ
عَلَيْهِ
مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ
أَجْرِيَ
إِلَّا عَلَى
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
180. Wama
asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
I do not desire any reward from you for this task. My reward is only with the Râbb-ul-'Alamîn
(nourisher/sustainer of the entire world).
أَوْفُوا
الْكَيْلَ
وَلَا
تَكُونُوا
مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ
181. Awfoo
alkayla wala takoonoo mina almukhsireena
Fill the scales rightly and do not give loss to anyone.
وَزِنُوا
بِالْقِسْطَاسِ
الْمُسْتَقِيمِ
182. Wazinoo
bialqistasi almustaqeemi
Measure with accurate scales.
وَلَا
تَبْخَسُوا
النَّاسَ
أَشْيَاءهُمْ
وَلَا
تَعْثَوْا
فِي الْأَرْضِ
مُفْسِدِينَ
183. Wala
tabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena
And do not give a fewer things to the people (by
cheating in their things); do not keep spreading mischief in the land.
وَاتَّقُوا
الَّذِي
خَلَقَكُمْ
وَالْجِبِلَّةَ
الْأَوَّلِينَ
184. Waittaqoo
allathee khalaqakum waaljibillata alawwaleena
And fear HIM WHO has created you and the bygone
generations."
قَالُوا
إِنَّمَا
أَنتَ مِنَ
الْمُسَحَّرِينَ
185. Qaloo
innama anta mina almusahhareena
They replied: "You are just a person under a
magic spell,
وَمَا
أَنتَ إِلَّا
بَشَرٌ
مِّثْلُنَا
وَإِن
نَّظُنُّكَ
لَمِنَ
الْكَاذِبِينَ
186. Wama
anta illa basharun mithluna wain nathunnuka lamina alkathibeena
And you are no more than a human like us, and we think
that you are complete liar.
فَأَسْقِطْ
عَلَيْنَا
كِسَفًا
مِّنَ السَّمَاء
إِن كُنتَ
مِنَ
الصَّادِقِينَ
187. Faasqit
AAalayna kisafan mina alssamai in kunta mina alssadiqeena
If you are truthful then drop a piece of sky on
us."
قَالَ رَبِّي
أَعْلَمُ
بِمَا
تَعْمَلُونَ
188. Qala
rabbee aAAlamu bima taAAmaloona
Shu’aib responded: "My Râbb knows whatever you are doing."
فَكَذَّبُوهُ
فَأَخَذَهُمْ
عَذَابُ يَوْمِ
الظُّلَّةِ
إِنَّهُ
كَانَ
عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ
عَظِيمٍ
189. Fakaththaboohu
faakhathahum AAathabu yawmi alththullati innahu kana AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
They denied him, finally the torment of the Day of
canopy seized them, and it was punishment of a horrible Day.
إِنَّ فِي
ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
وَمَا كَانَ
أَكْثَرُهُم
مُّؤْمِنِينَ
190. Inna
fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Certainly there is a sign in it, but most of them are
not going to believe.
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الرَّحِيمُ
191. Wainna
rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And the fact is that your Râbb is Omnipotent as
well as Most Loving. (R) 14
وَإِنَّهُ
لَتَنزِيلُ
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
192. Wainnahu
latanzeelu rabbi alAAalameena
This thing (Al-Qur'ân) is a revelation from the
Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nourisher/sustainer of the entire world).
نَزَلَ
بِهِ
الرُّوحُ
الْأَمِينُ
193. Nazala
bihi alrroohu alameenu
A trustworthy Spirit (Rűh -- Angel Jibrael) has
brought it down,
عَلَى
قَلْبِكَ
لِتَكُونَ
مِنَ
الْمُنذِرِينَ
194. AAala
qalbika litakoona mina almunthireena
Upon your heart so that you should be included among
those people who are the warners (from the creator to the creature),
بِلِسَانٍ
عَرَبِيٍّ
مُّبِينٍ
195. Bilisanin
AAarabiyyin mubeenin
Plain and clear in an Arabic language.
وَإِنَّهُ
لَفِي زُبُرِ
الْأَوَّلِينَ
196. Wainnahu
lafee zuburi alawwaleena
And it (Al-Qur'ân) is present in the Books (the Taurât
and the Injeel) of former people.
أَوَلَمْ
يَكُن
لَّهُمْ
آيَةً أَن
يَعْلَمَهُ
عُلَمَاء
بَنِي
إِسْرَائِيلَ
197. Awa
lam yakun lahum ayatan an yaAAlamahu AAulamao banee
israeela
Is it not a sign for them (the people of Makkah) that the scholars of the
Children of Israel (already) know it?
وَلَوْ
نَزَّلْنَاهُ
عَلَى بَعْضِ
الْأَعْجَمِينَ
198. Walaw
nazzalnahu AAala baAAdi alaAAjameena
(But the condition of their stubbornness is that) If WE had revealed it
(Al-Qur'ân) to some non-Arab
فَقَرَأَهُ
عَلَيْهِم
مَّا كَانُوا
بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ
199. Faqaraahu
AAalayhim ma kanoo bihi mumineena
And he had recited this (Elegant Arabic Words) to them
even then they would not have believed it.
كَذَلِكَ
سَلَكْنَاهُ
فِي قُلُوبِ
الْمُجْرِمِينَ
200. Kathalika
salaknahu fee quloobi almujrimeena
In the same way, WE have let it (Al-Qur'ân) pass
through the hearts of the criminals (Mujriműn).
لَا
يُؤْمِنُونَ
بِهِ حَتَّى
يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ
الْأَلِيمَ
201. La
yuminoona bihi hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
They don’t bring Faith in it until they see the
painful torment,
فَيَأْتِيَهُم
بَغْتَةً
وَهُمْ لَا
يَشْعُرُونَ
202. Fayatiyahum
baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona
Then, when it comes to them without warning
فَيَقُولُوا
هَلْ نَحْنُ
مُنظَرُونَ
203. Fayaqooloo
hal nahnu muntharoona
At that time, they say: "Can we get some respite
now”?
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا
يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
204. AfabiAAathabina
yastaAAjiloona
Are then these people hastening for OUR punishment?
أَفَرَأَيْتَ
إِن
مَّتَّعْنَاهُمْ
سِنِينَ
205. Afaraayta
in mattaAAnahum sineena
Have you ponder upon, if WE allow them to rejoice for years
ثُمَّ
جَاءهُم مَّا
كَانُوا
يُوعَدُونَ
206. Thumma
jaahum ma kanoo yooAAadoona
And then the same thing come to them with which they are being warned
مَا
أَغْنَى
عَنْهُم مَّا
كَانُوا
يُمَتَّعُونَ
207. Ma
aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yumattaAAoona
Then all that comfort which they have will not benefit
them?
وَمَا
أَهْلَكْنَا
مِن قَرْيَةٍ
إِلَّا لَهَا
مُنذِرُونَ
208. Wama
ahlakna min qaryatin illa laha munthiroona
(Look) WE never destroyed any town without it -- that the warners were present
for them to fulfill their duties.
ذِكْرَى
وَمَا كُنَّا
ظَالِمِينَ
209. Thikra
wama kunna thalimeena
And WE were not unjust.
وَمَا
تَنَزَّلَتْ
بِهِ
الشَّيَاطِينُ
210. Thikra
wama kunna thalimeena
Shayâtin (devils) have not brought down it (Al-Qur'ân)
وَمَا
يَنبَغِي
لَهُمْ وَمَا
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
211. Wama
yanbaghee lahum wama yastateeAAoona
Neither it suits them, and nor they can do so.
إِنَّهُمْ
عَنِ
السَّمْعِ
لَمَعْزُولُونَ
212. Innahum
AAani alssamAAi lamaAAzooloona
They have been kept away even from its hearing.
فَلَا
تَدْعُ مَعَ
اللَّهِ
إِلَهًا
آخَرَ فَتَكُونَ
مِنَ
الْمُعَذَّبِينَ
213. Fala
tadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fatakoona mina almuAAaththabeena
Therefore O Prophet (Muhammad, sallallaahu
‘alayhi wa sallam), do not call any other deity along with Allâh --
otherwise you will also be included among those who will receive punishment.
وَأَنذِرْ
عَشِيرَتَكَ
الْأَقْرَبِينَ
214. Waanthir
AAasheerataka alaqrabeena
Warn your closest relatives,
وَاخْفِضْ
جَنَاحَكَ
لِمَنِ
اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
215. Waikhfid
janahaka limani ittabaAAaka mina almumineena
And be kind and humble to those people from among the
believers -- who follow you.
فَإِنْ
عَصَوْكَ
فَقُلْ
إِنِّي
بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا
تَعْمَلُونَ
216. Fain
AAasawka faqul innee bareeon mimma taAAmaloona
But if they disobey you then tell them that I am not
accountable for whatever you do.
وَتَوَكَّلْ
عَلَى
الْعَزِيزِ
الرَّحِيمِ
217. Watawakkal
AAala alAAazeezi alrraheemi
And Trust in that Omnipotent and the Most Merciful,
الَّذِي
يَرَاكَ
حِينَ
تَقُومُ
218. Allathee
yaraka heena taqoomu
(The One) WHO has been watching you when you awake (stand up),
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ
فِي
السَّاجِدِينَ
219. Wataqallubaka
fee alssajideena
And keeps an eye on your movements among those who prostrate.
إِنَّهُ
هُوَ
السَّمِيعُ
الْعَلِيمُ
220. Innahu
huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
HE is All-Hearer and All-Knower.
هَلْ
أُنَبِّئُكُمْ
عَلَى مَن
تَنَزَّلُ
الشَّيَاطِينُ
221. Hal
onabbiokum AAala man tanazzalu alshshayateenu
O People, should I tell you that upon whom the Shayâtin (devils) descend?
تَنَزَّلُ
عَلَى كُلِّ
أَفَّاكٍ
أَثِيمٍ
222. Tanazzalu
AAala kulli affakin atheemin
They descend on every fabricator, sinful person.
يُلْقُونَ
السَّمْعَ
وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ
كَاذِبُونَ
223. Yulqoona
alssamAAa waaktharuhum kathiboona
Whispers hearsay into the ears and most of them are liars.
وَالشُّعَرَاء
يَتَّبِعُهُمُ
الْغَاوُونَ
224. WaalshshuAAarao yattabiAAuhumu alghawoona
As for the poets, only the mistaken people
follow them.
أَلَمْ
تَرَ
أَنَّهُمْ
فِي كُلِّ
وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ
225. Alam tara annahum fee kulli wadin yaheemoona
Don’t you see that they wander in every
valley?
وَأَنَّهُمْ
يَقُولُونَ
مَا لَا
يَفْعَلُونَ
226. Waannahum yaqooloona ma la yafAAaloona
And they say such things which they do not
practice themselves --
إِلَّا
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
وَعَمِلُوا
الصَّالِحَاتِ
وَذَكَرُوا
اللَّهَ
كَثِيرًا
وَانتَصَرُوا
مِن بَعْدِ
مَا ظُلِمُوا
وَسَيَعْلَمُ
الَّذِينَ
ظَلَمُوا
أَيَّ
مُنقَلَبٍ
يَنقَلِبُونَ
227. Illa
allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati wathakaroo Allaha katheeran
waintasaroo min baAAdi ma thulimoo wasayaAAlamu allatheena thalamoo ayya
munqalabin yanqaliboona
Except those people who brought Faith and who did righteous deeds and
remembered Allâh in abundance and when unjust is done to them then they just
replied back--and
the oppressors will soon come to know that what end result is waiting for
them. (R) 15

اللّهِ

الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi Allahi
alrrahmani alrraheemi
(I) Begin with the Name of Allâh WHO is Most Loving and Most
Merciful
طس تِلْكَ
آيَاتُ
الْقُرْآنِ
وَكِتَابٍ
مُّبِينٍ
1.
TâSîn tilka ayatu alqurani wakitabin mubeenin
(Taseen-- these are prefixes, muqatta’at, only
Allâh, subhaana wa ta'aala, knows the
meanings). These are the Verses of Al-Qur'ân and a Glorious Book.
هُدًى
وَبُشْرَى
لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
2.
Hudan wabushra lilmumineena
A guidance and glad tiding for those who brought Faith
الَّذِينَ
يُقِيمُونَ
الصَّلَاةَ
وَيُؤْتُونَ
الزَّكَاةَ
وَهُم
بِالْآخِرَةِ
هُمْ
يُوقِنُونَ
3.
Allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wayutoona alzzakata wahum
bialakhirati hum yooqinoona
Who establish prayer (AsSalât) and pay the poor-dues
(Zakât), and such people who strongly believe in the Hereafter.
إِنَّ
الَّذِينَ
لَا
يُؤْمِنُونَ
بِالْآخِرَةِ
زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ
أَعْمَالَهُمْ
فَهُمْ
يَعْمَهُونَ
4. Inna
allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati zayyanna lahum aAAmalahum fahum
yaAAmahoona
The fact is that those people who do not believe in
the Hereafter WE have made their deeds fair seeming to them; this is why they
are wandering about blindly.
أُوْلَئِكَ
الَّذِينَ
لَهُمْ سُوءُ
الْعَذَابِ
وَهُمْ فِي
الْآخِرَةِ
هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ
5. Olaika
allatheena lahum sooo alAAathabi wahum fee alakhirati humu alakhsaroona
These are the people for whom there is a severe
punishment -- and they are the ones who will be in total loss in the Hereafter.
وَإِنَّكَ
لَتُلَقَّى
الْقُرْآنَ
مِن لَّدُنْ
حَكِيمٍ
عَلِيمٍ
6. Wainnaka
latulaqqa alqurana min ladun hakeemin AAaleemin
And (O Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) no doubt, you are receiving this
Al-Qur'ân from the One WHO is All-Wise and All-Knowing.
إِذْ
قَالَ مُوسَى
لِأَهْلِهِ
إِنِّي آنَسْتُ
نَارًا
سَآتِيكُم
مِّنْهَا
بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ
آتِيكُم
بِشِهَابٍ
قَبَسٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ
تَصْطَلُونَ
7. Ith
qala moosa liahlihi innee anastu naran saateekum minha bikhabarin aw ateekum
bishihabin qabasin laAAallakum tastaloona
(Tell them about the incident of that time) When Műsa said to his household:
"I have seen fire; I may either bring some information from there or some
burning brand -- so that you may warm yourselves”.
فَلَمَّا
جَاءهَا
نُودِيَ أَن
بُورِكَ مَن فِي
النَّارِ
وَمَنْ
حَوْلَهَا
وَسُبْحَانَ
اللَّهِ
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
8. Falamma
jaaha noodiya an boorika man fee alnnari waman hawlaha wasubhana Allahi rabbi
alAAalameena
As he arrived there, a voice came, "Blessed is HE WHO is in this fire and
WHO is in its surroundings. Pure is
Allâh the Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nurturer/ nourisher/sustainer of the entire world).
يَا
مُوسَى
إِنَّهُ
أَنَا
اللَّهُ
الْعَزِيزُ
الْحَكِيمُ
9. Ya
moosa innahu ana Allahu alAAazeezu alhakeemu
O Műsa, this is ME Allâh the Omnipotent and the Wise.
وَأَلْقِ
عَصَاكَ
فَلَمَّا
رَآهَا
تَهْتَزُّ
كَأَنَّهَا
جَانٌّ
وَلَّى
مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ
يُعَقِّبْ
يَا مُوسَى
لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّي
لَا يَخَافُ
لَدَيَّ
الْمُرْسَلُونَ
10. Waalqi
AAasaka falamma raaha tahtazzu kaannaha jannun walla mudbiran walam yuAAaqqib
ya moosa la takhaf innee la yakhafu ladayya almursaloona
And just throw down your stick”. As soon
as Műsa saw that, the stick is moving like a dragon he turned back, ran away,
and did not look back. "O Műsa do
not fear. The Rasools do not fear in
front of ME.
إِلَّا
مَن ظَلَمَ
ثُمَّ
بَدَّلَ
حُسْنًا بَعْدَ
سُوءٍ
فَإِنِّي
غَفُورٌ
رَّحِيمٌ
11. Illa
man thalama thumma baddala husnan baAAda sooin fainnee ghafoorun raheemun
Except that if someone has done wrong. Then if after the sin he
exchanges (his act) with righteousness then I AM Forgiving and Most Loving.
وَأَدْخِلْ
يَدَكَ فِي
جَيْبِكَ
تَخْرُجْ
بَيْضَاء مِنْ
غَيْرِ سُوءٍ
فِي تِسْعِ
آيَاتٍ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ
وَقَوْمِهِ
إِنَّهُمْ
كَانُوا
قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ
12. Waadkhil yadaka fee jaybika takhruj baydaa min ghayri
sooin fee tisAAi ayatin ila firAAawna waqawmihi innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena
And just put your hand into your chest, it will come-out white shining without
any pain. These (two signs) are from
among the nine signs (for you to take) to Fir'aun and his people; they are very
cruel people (Fâsiqűn).
فَلَمَّا
جَاءتْهُمْ
آيَاتُنَا
مُبْصِرَةً
قَالُوا
هَذَا سِحْرٌ
مُّبِينٌ
13. Falamma
jaathum ayatuna mubsiratan qaloo hatha sihrun mubeenun
But when OUR Plain and Clear Signs (Ayât) came before those people they said:
"This is a clear magic."
وَجَحَدُوا
بِهَا
وَاسْتَيْقَنَتْهَا
أَنفُسُهُمْ
ظُلْمًا
وَعُلُوًّا
فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ
كَانَ
عَاقِبَةُ
الْمُفْسِدِينَ
14. Wajahadoo
biha waistayqanatha anfusuhum thulman waAAuluwwan faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu
almufsideena
They completely rejected these signs because of cruelty and arrogance though
their hearts were convinced. Now see --
what was the end-result of those disobedients (Mufsidűn). (R) 16
وَلَقَدْ
آتَيْنَا
دَاوُودَ
وَسُلَيْمَانَ
عِلْمًا
وَقَالَا
الْحَمْدُ
لِلَّهِ الَّذِي
فَضَّلَنَا عَلَى
كَثِيرٍ
مِّنْ
عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
15. Walaqad
atayna dawooda wasulaymana AAilman waqala alhamdu lillahi allathee faddalana
AAala katheerin min AAibadihi almumineena
(On the other hand) WE gave knowledge to Dawűd, Sulaimân, and they both said:
"All the praises and thanks are for the Allâh WHO has preferred us above
many of HIS believing slaves."
وَوَرِثَ
سُلَيْمَانُ
دَاوُودَ
وَقَالَ يَا
أَيُّهَا
النَّاسُ
عُلِّمْنَا
مَنطِقَ الطَّيْرِ
وَأُوتِينَا
مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
إِنَّ هَذَا
لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ
الْمُبِينُ
16. Wawaritha
sulaymanu dawooda waqala ya ayyuha alnnasu AAullimna mantiqa alttayri waooteena
min kulli shayin inna hatha lahuwa alfadlu almubeenu
And Sulaimân inherited Dawűd. And he
said: "O people, we have been taught the languages of birds and we have
been given all types of things, no doubt this is a visible kindness (of Allâh, subhaana wa ta’aala)”.
وَحُشِرَ
لِسُلَيْمَانَ
جُنُودُهُ
مِنَ الْجِنِّ
وَالْإِنسِ
وَالطَّيْرِ
فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ
17. Wahushira
lisulaymana junooduhu mina aljinni waalinsi waalttayri fahum yoozaAAoona
The armies of jinns and human and birds were gathered
for Sulaimân and they were kept in full discipline.
حَتَّى
إِذَا
أَتَوْا
عَلَى وَادِي
النَّمْلِ
قَالَتْ
نَمْلَةٌ يَا
أَيُّهَا
النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوا
مَسَاكِنَكُمْ
لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ
سُلَيْمَانُ
وَجُنُودُهُ
وَهُمْ لَا
يَشْعُرُونَ
18. Hatta
itha ataw AAala wadi alnnamli qalat namlatun ya ayyuha alnnamlu odkhuloo
masakinakum la yahtimannakum sulaymanu wajunooduhu wahum la yashAAuroona
(Once he was travelling with them) Until when they all reached in the valley of
ants, one of the ants said: "O ants, enter into your holes, it should not
be that Sulaimân and his army crushes you and they may not know it”.
فَتَبَسَّمَ
ضَاحِكًا
مِّن قَوْلِهَا
وَقَالَ
رَبِّ
أَوْزِعْنِي
أَنْ أَشْكُرَ
نِعْمَتَكَ
الَّتِي
أَنْعَمْتَ
عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى
وَالِدَيَّ
وَأَنْ
أَعْمَلَ
صَالِحًا
تَرْضَاهُ
وَأَدْخِلْنِي
بِرَحْمَتِكَ
فِي
عِبَادِكَ
الصَّالِحِينَ
19. Fatabassama
dahikan min qawliha waqala rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee
anAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waadkhilnee
birahmatika fee AAibadika alssaliheena
Hearing its words Sulaimân smilingly laughed and said -- "O my Râbb, keep me
under control that I keep rendering thanks for YOUR that Favor which YOU have
bestowed on me and my parents and do such righteous deeds that may please YOU
and with YOUR Mercy admit me among YOUR righteous servants."
وَتَفَقَّدَ
الطَّيْرَ
فَقَالَ مَا
لِيَ لَا
أَرَى
الْهُدْهُدَ
أَمْ كَانَ
مِنَ
الْغَائِبِينَ
20. Watafaqqada
alttayra faqala ma liya la ara alhudhuda am kana mina alghaibeena
(On another occasion) Sulaimân observed the birds and said: "What is the
matter that I am not seeing that hoopoe (Hudhud)? Has he disappeared somewhere?
لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُ
عَذَابًا
شَدِيدًا أَوْ
لَأَذْبَحَنَّهُ
أَوْ
لَيَأْتِيَنِّي
بِسُلْطَانٍ
مُّبِينٍ
21. LaoAAaththibannahu
AAathaban shadeedan aw laathbahannahu aw layatiyannee bisultanin mubeenin
I will give him severe punishment or even slaughter him, otherwise he has to
give me a sensible excuse."
فَمَكَثَ
غَيْرَ
بَعِيدٍ
فَقَالَ
أَحَطتُ بِمَا
لَمْ تُحِطْ
بِهِ
وَجِئْتُكَ
مِن سَبَإٍ
بِنَبَإٍ
يَقِينٍ
22. Famakatha
ghayra baAAeedin faqala ahattu bima lam tuhit bihi wajituka min sabain binabain
yaqeenin
It was not too late he (hoopoe) came and said: "I have acquired that
information which is not in your knowledge.
I have brought confirmed information about Saba'
(Sheba).
إِنِّي
وَجَدتُّ
امْرَأَةً
تَمْلِكُهُمْ
وَأُوتِيَتْ
مِن كُلِّ
شَيْءٍ
وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ
عَظِيمٌ
23. Innee
wajadtu imraatan tamlikuhum waootiyat min kulli shayin walaha AAarshun
AAatheemun
There I have seen a lady who is a ruler of that nation. She has been given all kinds of provisions
and her throne is majestic.
وَجَدتُّهَا
وَقَوْمَهَا
يَسْجُدُونَ
لِلشَّمْسِ
مِن دُونِ
اللَّهِ
وَزَيَّنَ
لَهُمُ
الشَّيْطَانُ
أَعْمَالَهُمْ
فَصَدَّهُمْ
عَنِ السَّبِيلِ
فَهُمْ لَا
يَهْتَدُونَ
24. Wajadtuha
waqawmaha yasjudoona lilshshamsi min dooni Allahi wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu
aAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli fahum la yahtadoona
I have seen that she and her nation prostrate before sun except Allâh”--
Shaitân (Satan) has made their deeds fair-seeming to them and stopped them from
the Grand Way (of Allâh, subhaana wa
ta’aala), this is why they do not find this straight path
أَلَّا
يَسْجُدُوا
لِلَّهِ
الَّذِي
يُخْرِجُ
الْخَبْءَ
فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَالْأَرْضِ
وَيَعْلَمُ
مَا تُخْفُونَ
وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ
25. Alla
yasjudoo lillahi allathee yukhriju alkhabaa fee alssamawati waalardi wayaAAlamu
ma tukhfoona wama tuAAlinoona
That they should prostrate before that Allâh
(Al-Lâ) WHO brings to light what is hidden in the skies and in the earth
and HE knows everything that you people conceal and disclose.
اللَّهُ
لَا إِلَهَ
إِلَّا هُوَ
رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ
الْعَظِيمِ(Al- Sajjdah)
26. Allahu
la ilaha illa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alAAatheemi
Allâh -- there is none worthy of worship except HIM (Lâ ilâha illa Huwa), WHO
is the Owner of the Supreme Throne
قَالَ
سَنَنظُرُ
أَصَدَقْتَ
أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ
الْكَاذِبِينَ
27. Qala
sananthuru asadaqta am kunta mina alkathibeena
Sulaimân said: "We shall just find out whether you have spoken the truth
or you are one of the liars.
اذْهَب
بِّكِتَابِي
هَذَا
فَأَلْقِهْ
إِلَيْهِمْ
ثُمَّ
تَوَلَّ
عَنْهُمْ
فَانظُرْ مَاذَا
يَرْجِعُونَ
28. Ithhab
bikitabee hatha faalqih ilayhim thumma tawalla AAanhum faonthur matha
yarjiAAoona
Take this letter of mine and deliver it to those people, then go aside and
observe what reaction they show."
قَالَتْ
يَا أَيُّهَا
المَلَأُ
إِنِّي أُلْقِيَ
إِلَيَّ
كِتَابٌ
كَرِيمٌ
29. Qalat
ya ayyuha almalao innee olqiya ilayya kitabun kareemun
Queen said: "O people of the court, a very important letter have been
dropped to me.
إِنَّهُ
مِن
سُلَيْمَانَ
وَإِنَّهُ
بِسْمِ
اللَّهِ
الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ
30. Innahu
min sulaymana wainnahu bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
It is from Sulaimân and it begins with the Name of
Allâh the Most Loving and Most Merciful.
أَلَّا
تَعْلُوا
عَلَيَّ
وَأْتُونِي
مُسْلِمِينَ
31. Alla
taAAloo AAalayya watoonee muslimeena
It reads, “Do not revolt against me and come to me as Muslim (in complete
submission to Allâh)”. (R)

قَالَتْ
يَا أَيُّهَا
المَلَأُ
أَفْتُونِي
فِي أَمْرِي
مَا كُنتُ
قَاطِعَةً
أَمْرًا حَتَّى
تَشْهَدُونِ
32. Qalat
ya ayyuha almalao aftoonee fee amree ma kuntu qatiAAatan amran hatta tashhadoona
(After reading the letter) Queen asked, "O
chiefs of the nation, give me your advice in this matter of mine -- I do not
make any decision without you”.
قَالُوا
نَحْنُ
أُوْلُوا
قُوَّةٍ
وَأُولُوا
بَأْسٍ
شَدِيدٍ
وَالْأَمْرُ
إِلَيْكِ فَانظُرِي
مَاذَا
تَأْمُرِينَ
33. Qaloo
nahnu oloo quwwatin waoloo basin shadeedin waalamru ilayki faonthuree matha
tamureena
They replied: "We are powerful and fighter people. Now the decision is in your hands. You yourself decide -- what you want to command."
قَالَتْ
إِنَّ
الْمُلُوكَ
إِذَا
دَخَلُوا قَرْيَةً
أَفْسَدُوهَا
وَجَعَلُوا
أَعِزَّةَ
أَهْلِهَا
أَذِلَّةً
وَكَذَلِكَ
يَفْعَلُونَ
34. Qalat
inna almulooka itha dakhaloo qaryatan afsadooha wajaAAaloo aAAizzata ahliha
athillatan wakathalika yafAAaloona
Queen said: "When kings enter into any country then they ruin it and
humiliate its honorable people. This is
what they do.
وَإِنِّي
مُرْسِلَةٌ
إِلَيْهِم
بِهَدِيَّةٍ
فَنَاظِرَةٌ
بِمَ
يَرْجِعُ
الْمُرْسَلُونَ
35. Wainnee
mursilatun ilayhim bihadiyyatin fanathiratun bima yarjiAAu almursaloona
I am going to send gifts to those people, then see with what answer my
messenger returns."
فَلَمَّا
جَاء
سُلَيْمَانَ
قَالَ
أَتُمِدُّونَنِ
بِمَالٍ
فَمَا
آتَانِيَ
اللَّهُ خَيْرٌ
مِّمَّا
آتَاكُم بَلْ
أَنتُم
بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ
تَفْرَحُونَ
36. Falamma
jaa sulaymana qala atumiddoonani bimalin fama ataniya Allahu khayrun mimma
atakum bal antum bihadiyyatikum tafrahoona
When he (Queen’s messenger) came to Sulaimân, he (Sulaimân) said: "Do you
want to help me with wealth? What Allâh
has given me is lot more than it that HE has given you. You rejoice with your gifts!"
ارْجِعْ
إِلَيْهِمْ
فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ
بِجُنُودٍ
لَّا قِبَلَ
لَهُم بِهَا
وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُم
مِّنْهَا
أَذِلَّةً
وَهُمْ
صَاغِرُونَ
37. IrjiAA
ilayhim falanatiyannahum bijunoodin la qibala lahum biha walanukhrijannahum
minha athillatan wahum saghiroona
(O messenger) Go back to those who sent you.
We shall come to them with such armies that they will not be able to
resist and we shall drive them out from there with such disgrace that they will
remain humiliated."
قَالَ يَا
أَيُّهَا
المَلَأُ
أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي
بِعَرْشِهَا
قَبْلَ أَن
يَأْتُونِي
مُسْلِمِينَ
38.
Qala ya ayyuha al-malau ayyukum yatini biarshiha qabla an yatuni muslimina
Sulaimân asked: "O people of the court, who among you is going to bring
her throne to me before it that those people come to me in submission?
قَالَ
عِفْريتٌ
مِّنَ
الْجِنِّ
أَنَا آتِيكَ
بِهِ قَبْلَ
أَن تَقُومَ
مِن
مَّقَامِكَ وَإِنِّي
عَلَيْهِ
لَقَوِيٌّ
أَمِينٌ
39. Qala AAifreetun mina aljinni ana ateeka bihi qabla an
taqooma min maqamika wainne AAalayhi laqawiyyun ameenun
Among the Jinns the gigantic one (Ifrît) said: "I shall bring
it to you before
you rise from your place (council). I
have the power for it and am trustworthy."
قَالَ
الَّذِي
عِندَهُ
عِلْمٌ مِّنَ
الْكِتَابِ
أَنَا آتِيكَ
بِهِ قَبْلَ
أَن يَرْتَدَّ
إِلَيْكَ
طَرْفُكَ
فَلَمَّا
رَآهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا
عِندَهُ
قَالَ هَذَا
مِن فَضْلِ
رَبِّي
لِيَبْلُوَنِي
أَأَشْكُرُ
أَمْ
أَكْفُرُ
وَمَن شَكَرَ
فَإِنَّمَا
يَشْكُرُ
لِنَفْسِهِ
وَمَن كَفَرَ
فَإِنَّ
رَبِّي
غَنِيٌّ
كَرِيمٌ
40. Qala allathee AAindahu AAilmun mina alkitabi ana ateeka
bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka tarfuka falamma raahu mustaqirran AAindahu qala
hatha min fadli rabbee liyabluwanee aashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fainnama
yashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fainna rabbee ghaniyyun kareemun
The person who has (a special) knowledge of the Book, he said:
"I am going to bring it -- before you twinkle your eye”. As Sulaimân saw the throne placed beside him,
he exclaimed: "This is the Grace of my Râbb -- so that HE may test me
whether I am grateful or ungrateful. And
whoever is grateful, his/her gratitude is beneficial for him/her own-self,
otherwise if a person is unmindful then my Râbb is Rich (Free of all wants) and
SELF-EXALTED."
قَالَ
نَكِّرُوا
لَهَا
عَرْشَهَا
نَنظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِي
أَمْ تَكُونُ
مِنَ
الَّذِينَ لَا
يَهْتَدُونَ
41. Qala
nakkiroo laha AAarshaha nanthur atahtadee am takoonu mina allatheena la
yahtadoona
Sulaimân said: "In an unfamiliar way place her throne in front of her, let
us see whether she gets to the right thing or she is one of those who do not
find the right path”.
فَلَمَّا
جَاءتْ قِيلَ
أَهَكَذَا
عَرْشُكِ
قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُ
هُوَ
وَأُوتِينَا
الْعِلْمَ
مِن قَبْلِهَا
وَكُنَّا
مُسْلِمِينَ
42. Falamma
jaat qeela ahakatha AAarshuki qalat kaannahu huwa waooteena alAAilma min
qabliha wakunna muslimeena
When the queen came, it was said to her: "Is your throne like
this?" She began to say: "It
is as if the same one." We had come
to know this before hand and we had surrendered (or we had become Muslims).”
وَصَدَّهَا
مَا كَانَت
تَّعْبُدُ
مِن دُونِ
اللَّهِ
إِنَّهَا
كَانَتْ مِن
قَوْمٍ
كَافِرِينَ
43. Wasaddaha
ma kanat taAAbudu min dooni Allahi innaha kanat min qawmin kafireena
That which was keeping her away (to bring Faith) was
the worship of those deities whom she used to worship except Allâh because she
was from the infidel (Kafir) nation.
قِيلَ
لَهَا
ادْخُلِي
الصَّرْحَ
فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ
حَسِبَتْهُ
لُجَّةً
وَكَشَفَتْ عَن
سَاقَيْهَا
قَالَ
إِنَّهُ
صَرْحٌ مُّمَرَّدٌ
مِّن
قَوَارِيرَ
قَالَتْ رَبِّ
إِنِّي
ظَلَمْتُ
نَفْسِي
وَأَسْلَمْتُ
مَعَ سُلَيْمَانَ
لِلَّهِ
رَبِّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
44. Qeela laha odkhulee alssarha falamma raathu hasibathu
lujjatan wakashafat AAan saqayha qala innahu sarhun mumarradun min qawareera
qalat rabbi innee thalamtu nafsee waaslamtu maAAa sulaymana lillahi rabbi
alAAalameena
It was said to her: "Enter into the Palace (As-Sarh)”. As she saw it, she thought it is a water-pool
and to enter she lifted up the legs of her trousers (uncovering her legs). Sulaimân said: "It is a polished glass
house (Sarh)." On this she cried
out: "O my Râbb, (till today) I have been doing wrong to myself, and now
with Sulaimân I have embraced the submission of Allâh, the Râbb-ul-'Alamîn (nourisher/sustainer of the entire
world).” (R) 18
وَلَقَدْ
أَرْسَلْنَا
إِلَى
ثَمُودَ
أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا
أَنِ
اعْبُدُوا
اللَّهَ
فَإِذَا هُمْ
فَرِيقَانِ
يَخْتَصِمُونَ
45. Walaqad
arsalna ila thamooda akhahum salihan ani oAAbudoo
Allaha faitha hum fareeqani yakhtasimoona
And toward Thaműd WE sent their brother Sâlih (with this message) that
"Serve Allâh then all-of-sudden they became two opposite groups (believers
and infidels)”.
قَالَ يَا
قَوْمِ لِمَ
تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
بِالسَّيِّئَةِ
قَبْلَ
الْحَسَنَةِ
لَوْلَا
تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
اللَّهَ
لَعَلَّكُمْ
تُرْحَمُونَ
46. Qala
ya qawmi lima tastaAAjiloona bialssayyiati qabla
alhasanati lawla tastaghfiroona Allaha laAAallakum turhamoona
Sâlih said: "O people of my nation, why do you hasten for the evil before
the good? Why don’t you seek Forgiveness
of Allâh? Perhaps mercy is shown to
you”?
قَالُوا
اطَّيَّرْنَا
بِكَ وَبِمَن
مَّعَكَ
قَالَ
طَائِرُكُمْ
عِندَ
اللَّهِ بَلْ
أَنتُمْ
قَوْمٌ
تُفْتَنُونَ
47. Qaloo
ittayyarna bika wabiman maAAaka qala tairukum AAinda Allahi bal antum qawmun
tuftanoona
They replied, "We have found you and your companions as a symbol of bad
luck”. Sâlih responded: "Your good
and bad luck is with Allâh. The fact is
that you people are being tested."
وَكَانَ
فِي
الْمَدِينَةِ
تِسْعَةُ
رَهْطٍ
يُفْسِدُونَ
فِي
الْأَرْضِ
وَلَا
يُصْلِحُونَ
48. Wakana
fee almadeenati tisAAatu rahtin yufsidoona fee alardi wala yuslihoona
There were nine activists (reformers) in that city --
who used to spread mischief in the land and do nothing to reform.
قَالُوا
تَقَاسَمُوا
بِاللَّهِ
لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ
وَأَهْلَهُ
ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ
لِوَلِيِّهِ
مَا
شَهِدْنَا
مَهْلِكَ
أَهْلِهِ
وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ
49. Qaloo
taqasamoo biAllahi lanubayyitannahu waahlahu thumma lanaqoolanna liwaliyyihi ma
shahidna mahlika ahlihi wainna lasadiqoona
They said to one another: "Promise on oath -- By Allâh we shall attack in
the secret of night on Sâlih and his household and then (we) will say to his
guardian that we were not present at the time of the destruction of his
household, we are telling the truth".
وَمَكَرُوا
مَكْرًا
وَمَكَرْنَا
مَكْرًا وَهُمْ
لَا
يَشْعُرُونَ
50. Wamakaroo
makran wamakarna makran wahum la yashAAuroona
This was their plan and then WE made a plan of which
they were unaware.
فَانظُرْ
كَيْفَ كَانَ
عَاقِبَةُ
مَكْرِهِمْ
أَنَّا
دَمَّرْنَاهُمْ
وَقَوْمَهُمْ
أَجْمَعِينَ
51. Faonthur
kayfa kana AAaqibatu makrihim anna dammarnahum waqawmahum ajmaAAeena
Now see that what the end-result of their plan was. WE destroyed them and their entire nation.
فَتِلْكَ
بُيُوتُهُمْ
خَاوِيَةً
بِمَا
ظَلَمُوا
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ
لَآيَةً
لِّقَوْمٍ
يَعْلَمُونَ
52. Fatilka
buyootuhum khawiyatan bima thalamoo inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin
yaAAlamoona
There are their empty houses (in utter ruin) as result
of their cruelty that they used to do; there is a warning sign (Ayâh) in it for
those people who have knowledge.
وَأَنجَيْنَا
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
وَكَانُوا
يَتَّقُونَ
53. Waanjayna
allatheena amanoo wakanoo yattaqoona
And WE saved those people who had brought Faith and used to restrain from
disobedience.
وَلُوطًا
إِذْ قَالَ
لِقَوْمِهِ
أَتَأْتُونَ
الْفَاحِشَةَ
وَأَنتُمْ
تُبْصِرُونَ
54. Walootan ith qala liqawmihi atatoona alfahishata
waantum tubsiroona
And WE sent Lout. Recall that time when
he said to his nation. “Do you commit
sin (AlFâhishah) while you see it?"
أَئِنَّكُمْ
لَتَأْتُونَ
الرِّجَالَ
شَهْوَةً
مِّن دُونِ
النِّسَاء
بَلْ أَنتُمْ
قَوْمٌ
تَجْهَلُونَ
55. Ainnakum latatoona alrrijala shahwatan min dooni alnnisai bal
antum qawmun tajhaloona
"Is this your conduct -- that you approach men for your sexual desires
rather than women? The fact is that you
are the people who do the act of severe stupidity”.
فَمَا
كَانَ
جَوَابَ
قَوْمِهِ
إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا
أَخْرِجُوا
آلَ لُوطٍ
مِّن
قَرْيَتِكُمْ
إِنَّهُمْ
أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
56. Fama
kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo akhrijoo ala lootin
min qaryatikum innahum onasun yatatahharoona
But there was no other answer given by his people except that they said:
"Expel the family of Lout from your town, they proclaim to be clean and
pure”.
فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ
وَأَهْلَهُ
إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ
قَدَّرْنَاهَا
مِنَ
الْغَابِرِينَ
57. Faanjaynahu waahlahu illa imraatahu
qaddarnaha mina alghabireena
Ultimately WE saved him and his household, except his wife about whom WE had
decreed to be remained behind,
وَأَمْطَرْنَا
عَلَيْهِم
مَّطَرًا
فَسَاء
مَطَرُ
الْمُنذَرِينَ
58. Waamtarna
AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena
And WE showered down rain (of stones) on them; it was the worst rain for those
people who had been warned. (R) 19
قُلِ
الْحَمْدُ
لِلَّهِ
وَسَلَامٌ
عَلَى عِبَادِهِ
الَّذِينَ
اصْطَفَى
آللَّهُ خَيْرٌ
أَمَّا
يُشْرِكُونَ
59. Quli
alhamdu lillahi wasalamun AAala AAibadihi allatheena istafa allahu khayrun amma
yushrikoona
(O Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi
wa sallam) Say: "Praise is for Allâh and peace is upon HIS those
servants whom HE has chosen. (Ask
them) Is Allâh better or those deities
whom these people are associating with HIM?
